- This video describes a technique for soldering sheet copper lap seams oriented vertically, or with a slope over 3:12. It is narrated by Copper Development Association's Architectural Applications Specialist, Larry Peters.
Why would you work from the bottom up? Just curious. In my experience it is easier to work top down, working with gravity and the flow of solder.
@ meaghan burke SOOOOOOOO TRUE!!!!
as soon as I saw your plastic speed square I just wanted to snap it in half! and why would you use the inch and a half tip vs 1/2" tip? very bold but not beautiful, vertical seems like narrow not wide. but great for the solder companies they're going to make money off all that solder!
I think I am in position of challenge to show how to SOLDIER ❗️🤓
always used stayclean
You ain't no Tin knocker son.
Big seams for what.
Waisting saulder.
Copper is only as good as how it is sweated together.
Are you proud of that seam? A first year apprentice could do better than that, and you're teaching this? You can't be a sheet metal worker, or an artist,
Definitely not an architectural sheet metal worker for sure
hacks are born from bad teachers
I know it's just cosmetic, and that sweating the seam is more important than the lacing, but I ain't gonna lie, that's some ugly stitching bruh..
