- Simple but an underrated classic off South of Heaven. Some of the best riffs on the album exist in this song... Not a million miles per second... but still heavy and fun as hell to play.

Great lesson! At :25 you mention they use a 12 string. I haven’t known Kerry King to use a 12 string, sometimes a 7 string though. I’m pretty sure the octave is Jeff Hanneman joining in.
Not saying you’re definitely wrong, but I tried playing this on a 12 string and pretty much captured the sound. If you hear in the background, Hanneman’s guitar is doing chord swells. Don’t think they ever used the 12 string live, but sure sounds like they recorded with one. Or … it’s an effect and I’ve been fooled. Very possible

my favorite slayer song by far, the orchestration of this song is just crazy, the groove throughout the whole thing is just awesome! I love your channel man, you've taught me some great Slayer and Megadeth stuff! Been trying to get ahold of the beginning of altar of sacrifice, the triplets in between the main notes is ridiculous for me haha, but I'll get it eventually. Any chance we could get some Testament or Cannibal Corpse stuff soon?

South , Seasons and Repentless the 3 best Slayer albums. Almost every song on those albums kicks ass and this song is one of them. Great lesson brother!🤘🤘🤘
