How to pitch a double wall tent in the rain (and keep it dry)

This is how I keep my double-wall, freestanding tent dry when pitching it during heavy rain. Watch me pitch this in the pouring rain and gusting winds, and see the results for yourself.
The tent used in this demo is the NEMO Dragonfly 2P, a two-person double-walled freestanding tent with a large cutout in the rainfly to save weight. Many people have expressed doubts about whether this design keeps out the rain, so I thought I would put this debate to rest once and for all.
