So I’m sitting at the table eating lunch and watching the show. The wife is in the kitchen listening to you talk about falling off the wagon regarding buying more tools, she said we are all nuts and where are we supposed to store all this junk. Feeling brave I told her we could put most of them in the closet with all her shoes and purses…..bad move….looks like I’ll be watching the show in the garage for awhile! Fix up the box rulers!

What a fantastic tool meet! I am drooling at the abundance and the prices. For comparison, at a recent estate sale here in Houston, I saw some vintage wooden planes, for which they were asking more than $100 each, and a few didn’t even have irons! Thanks for sharing your great tool haul.

John, That sword/hammer might be something that was made in high school shop class,Or some guy at work. In my downtime as a mechanic in a diesel rail roundhouse I would make some awesome tools and fixtures for us to use to make our jobs easier. But railroads put the kibosch on that in case someone got hurt they could sue, so they went to mostly snap-on because of the warranty and gaurantee. OR my dads best friend was a big wig at Stanley tools in Kansas City and one year for X-mas he gave my dad a tool box to fit behind the truck seat and it was full of tools........ALL DOUBLE HANDLED! Screw drivers with just handles on both ends, sockets with no way of fitting on a ratchet, double handle hammers with no hammer, ect. Real kool and real funny.

I have a few boxwood rules that need a cleanup. Would really like to see your techniques. A close second is the combination square protractor piece and, concurrently, cleaning up the metal rule that goes with it. Its a long drive to Long Island, but would like to make that meet someday.

The plane iron looked like it said "Buck Brothers" which I believe was an American Company. If you go far enough back, an apprentice would make many of his tools. By the time I started, we made saw horses and a work bench. Its a tool designed by someone who has never used a tool. Nice video. Good Luck, Rick

That is a great job of collecting stellar finds.
I am having a similar experience during the shop move. I found a batch of tools that I hadn't looked at since buying them in a batch. They ended up in the mechanics tool boxes on the garage bench and have been there for years. I intend to make a video of the best kind of flea market. 😁😎

Another great video, ScoutCrafter! 👍🏻 Quite the haul from the tool meet. It’s easier to quit buying tools when people donate them for restoration on the channel! 😂 My vote for first project would be the “perfect handle” style screwdriver at 07:00. Doing a Delrin handle would be cool, I’ve always wanted one of those with G10 or micarta handle scales myself. The pliers at 18:00 look like they might be for bending soft(er) metal tubing like brake lines or similar and would explain the Bakelite/phenolic resin jaws to prevent damage to the tubing on either side of the bend. When I was a young child I secretly collected matchbooks from businesses that gave them away, unbeknownst to my parents, and they flipped when they found an old cigar box I had full of them - I think I was probably 7 or 8 at the time - that was still a common thing into the late 80s or early 90s here in the Midwest. 😅

That strange tool could be a crate tool and if you’re taking the nails out from around the edge of the box, the handle might not get in the way if you keep it hanging over the edge and might give you a two handed leverage. Just a thought. Great video, great tools, thanks so much for sharing, have a great day.

Great video 👍 Fantastic video of the Long Island tool meet 🧰.
They had some awesome tools and deals there 👍👍. You couldn’t beat the $1 table. I think I would love to see those old folding 📏 rules cleaned up or that 300lb. Vintage spring scale cleaned up and back in service, that would be a awesome video for the show! 👍👍. That was a cool looking military lock 🔐,thanks for sharing that one with us. How many of those Hand Saws 🪚 did you bring home 🏠 for a$1 ?😂 No , seriously you can’t beat that price for a handsaw in good condition and made in the USA 🇺🇸. You aren’t buying a handsaw at HomeDepot for a $1 . They run about $10-30 bucks and the blades are not as good as the vintage USA 🇺🇸 ones used to be . Again awesome deal on those.👍👍 Well again great video and can’t wait to see what you do on Wednesday. Have a great night. 😄👍👍

Just before that seat remover at the 18:00 mark, the tool you called a breaker, I'd say it is for straightening some material. You can pinpoint where you'd want the bend to occur. I've used tools similar, but the fiber board is a new piece unless it would limit the bends somehow.
