I swear the devs for this game took everything I disliked about other farming sims and fixed them. I literally don’t like any of the bachelors in SDV, but in this game it’s hard to choose one I don’t like. I love that the art is closer to GBA style like Minish Cap. I love how cute the game is. I love that you can craft from your storage inventory, I like that there is more unique dialogue. The villagers feel so much more alive. I had a quest to get an item and when I randomly talked to a villager they were like “oh you’re looking for X I’ve seen it growing over by Y” you can customize your character anywhere anytime. And this is just early access, this game has already exceeded my expectations this early on. If they keep updating it like Concerned Ape has with SDV it will be my favorite farm sim of all time.
I don’t think we should compare! Stardew Valley was created by one person who worked really really hard and it was a beautiful game in itself and I’m sure this will be amazing too! Let’s celebrate both of them🩷
This was my opinion and it is valid. I highlighted the things I enjoyed MORE in FoM than in SDV. I don't think that's problematic or insinuating that SDV is somehow now just an awful game, I never said that. But it's okay for me to compare and state that I enjoy something else and appreciate it MORE than another game. If others agree, great. If they don't, great. SDV is still there to play and isn't going anywhere. But you will absolutely find me on FoM instead.
