When she came out with her solo album she inspired me to walk away from a toxic relationship that I had been in for almost 2 years. I played her cassette religiously. Her words, the beats and vocals permeated through the deepest parts of my pain. Jody was with me everywhere.. I took her to Europe with me in March of 1987. 🥰 By the time my healing completed, I looked up and a year had gone by….Jody was still there. The pain was gone. ❤ Jody Watley is Still A Thrill, because she helped me to Learn to Say No. I was with Some Kind of Lover, who gave me Love Injection and made me Do it To The Beat. Had me always asking Don’t You Want Me. To me this album was For the Girls, who needed to start that healing Journey Looking for a New Love. But I felt that it was tailor made for me Most of All.
