I started wearing Hoop earrings because of Jody Watley. When I was a kid, I saw her vid ( Looking 4 a new Love ). I thought she was stunning. I luv her beauty eye shape. Years later , I learned more bout her music. I found out she was a part of a group name Shalamar. When I saw her vid, that’s when she became a solo artist. Unbeknownst to me at the time. I’m so happy to see Jody and she is doing fantastic. She is a Beautiful Soul. ❤❤❤❤

I’ve been using hand helds since I was 14 on Soul Train..it’s one of my signatures from that far back and like I said in the interview I fell in love with them as a little girl from watching Flamenco 💃🏽 dancers - and of course as a trendsetter myself popularized them in my own way (featured in Ebony Mag back in 1976) I’m not sure what your point is - but thanks for watching the interview make sure to check out “The Jody Watley Show” on SIRIUS XM.
