    C-space is awsome for paraview. Reduce lots of stress to find the filter. Overplot the plotoverline is really handy! Thans for sharing.

    Good afternoon, greetings from here in South America, Venezuela. one question, how do I plot the velocity versus distance? i am using a mesh free method called SPH. greetings.

    Thanks Asmaa for this informative video!
    I want to plot U_X on the y-axis vs. arc_length on the x-axis for a line that ranges from -1 to 2. Paraview by default makes that plotting directly, but the x-axis is from 0 to 3 instead of -1 to 2. I suppose I should select a different variable on the x-axis other than arc_length since it seems to plot the magnitude of the line (hence, the range will be always from 0 to a +ve number). How can I do that?

    • @CFDAsmaaHadane
      @CFDAsmaaHadane  2 года назад

      Hello Amr, I guess you need to plot Ux versus Points_X , since the arc length is a LENGTH so it's obviously >0

    I was doing a project on turbulent flow over a square roughness as in the model in this video can you please share the openfoam or do a tutorial on that.

    Hey! I have a question. Do you know how does the paraview algorithm calculated values of a line plot when the attribute type is Point Data?

    Dear Asaa
    Thanks for this tutorial
    Can you please also make a video on how to plot along a section of curved surface. Maybe plot over plane intersection .
    Thank u in advance

    • @CFDAsmaaHadane
      @CFDAsmaaHadane  4 года назад

      Do you mean plot over an intersection between planes or plane and sphere ... (plot over curved line)?

      @@CFDAsmaaHadane say we have a wing and I wish to plot Cp values over a particular spanwise location. Also if you could shed light on how to save a particular plot in a CSV file that would be great. I am trying to save the data under file menu but everything gets saved. I am new to parafoam and cudnt find these things online.Maybe they are there any link wud be helpful too.

      @@CFDAsmaaHadane i think U have understood what I intended to mean by plot over a curved surface.. I got it to work by first putting a Surface Extract filter and then slice and then Plot over a sorted line. But I find this bit too much just for a plot I am sure thers and easy way around.

    • @CFDAsmaaHadane
      @CFDAsmaaHadane  4 года назад

      @@DSinghsLAB you can do slice then select plot on intersection curves filter where you could change sphere box... and plot on the resulting curve. Hope it helps

    Thanks. Very useful. Have a question: is it possible to do the last part in ParaView itself? For example, plotting the velocity over a line then calculate the mean velocity using the spreadsheet (something like calculator operation on the data over the line)?

      @CFDAsmaaHadane  4 года назад +1

      Yes this option is feasible in paraview

      @CFDAsmaaHadane  4 года назад

      Nan value is generated when the line is out of the domain.
