Fantastic tones and cool renditions a' la Ramon, which gives it all a great and unique sound... Oh, and the balance was perfect, BTW ...the guitar screamed and I could still hear all your dialog... By Jove I do believe he's got it (!)
Interested to try the Dingwalls ..The Beast PAF Marc wound for Crazyparts is the first Mojo humbucker i owned and still have them to this day , the NOS wire PAF set Marc from Mojo wound for me with tad more body in the bridge are still the best current day pick ups i've had Marc nailed my request after I had Mojo send a set of the Greeny PAF by mistake to myself when i wanted just the standard PAF set. I found the Mojo Greeny set good and sweet sounding but not quite as good as The Beast set or the custom mojo nos wire PAF set.
Interesting to hear another variation of the Peter Green pickup. I remember around 9 or so months ago you singing the praises of Monty’s Bethnal Green set, and now it’s Alan Dingwall’s. How do the Dingwall’s compare to Monty’s in your opinion? Listening to this clip and relistening to your “Peter Green Pickups finally cracked!” I personally find the Monty’s to have more of that authentic Peter Green honk and quack. I find the Dingwall’s to be slightly more subdued. I commented on that video to which you replied and you turned me on to Monty’s. I’ve now run all of their pickup sets for every vintage configuration and love them all. Now I’m curious and will check out the Dingwall’s.
Wonderful authentic tones, Ramon and your Clapton Beano/Greeny combo, with the open coils and reversed neck is a great look imho 👍
You’ve got the feel of those records nailed…and the voice of those pickups is as good as it gets! Love it!
Many thanks indeed!
A tone to die for!!
