What part makes it half assed? it seemed more complete than some others, if you miss sliding and charge shots, get protoman. 9 was based on 2, which was in my opinion one of the best, and the music is amazing in both of them.
this game is a tricky pain in the ass at some parts but its not harder than MM3 or any of the SNES/PS1 installments (that includes 7, 8, and Rockman and Forte which is basically MM8 1/2). It does have the toughest final wily boss in any 8 bit game which I still havent beaten w/o an E-tank or half damage (still on my to do list)
Ten of those happened to me, most on my first run. But now I have "Almost Invincible!"
