Oh boy those are darling! Might be cute coasters. With enough of those, maybe a small wall quilt, decorative pillows, shopping bag. Or a pocket outside a home sewn purse, shirt/pants pocket. Fridge magnet would be cute or an eyeglass case.
Can you make more slow stitching video's?😛😻 I loved it so much. The flowerpot and leaves are also such a nice idea. I have to finish my slow stitch'ish needlebook first and then I want to make something like yours, colorful. 💜
Thank you for your pt & pt 2 video. I need to keep my hands busy and hand sewing smallish projects fits perfectly. Appreciate getting a peek of the back. Being able to add those 'last one' button (s) is a nice touch. I still have my mom's button jar from the 1940s to 1980s. Crumb quiltig on adding machine tape has been great fun but getting to a final project can take years. Ended up making bucket hats with the created fabric. Thank you again. 🍄🍄
Hi, With love may I suggest that when separating threads you take one at a time. Hold the threat gently in your palm and surround it, select one piece and pull up. It comes away easily then and the remaining five threads don't get tangled up. With all best intentions, Ax
I am a new comber to slow stitching and getting addicted! I love how you teach, and would love to see more. I am going to look at more of your videos also. Thanks
I enjoyed your videos very much. I slow stitched and loved it. However, I tend to sew too long and get sore fingers and hand. Thank you, and I look forward to watching your other videos
You’re the only one who uses vibrant colors in your work… loving it. Others use boring colors but you make all your work look like artwork.. please make more videos. Perhaps slow stitching on a larger scale on how to combine all pieces together for a picture or pillow.. or perhaps for a vest. I’m going to make a large one to hang on the wall ❤❤
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I am obsessed with colour and so it’s always going to be a big aspect of what I do 🥰. Keep your eyes open for a video at the end of the e month where I will reveal the piece I have been working on for the “Inspired By Art Collab”. I will be showing the piece but then also breaking down how I made it as a tutorial for anyone interested. It is definitely a large wall piece :) 🥰❤️
That was lovely. I also make 4x4 fabric collages but then never seem to finish off the edges or do anything with them. Ideas for what to do with them would be appreciated
Hi, I am enjoying part 2 of your slow stitching, your way of finishing off the sides, is an easier way than doing mitred corners, although you could do it that way, if you want to, but I am not the expert in doing that, that would be good, if you could show your viewers, how to finish off doing mitred corners. Perhaps you could put the squares together, to form a little book to flip through, again I wouldn't be too sure how to do that. Thanks again for your lovely video. 😊 ❤
Hi - I quite like the unmitred corners but yes they could be finished in that way if you chose to. A book is definitely on the cards for a future video :) 🥰
Tori I found your channel by chance and love what you do especially the slow stitch. I am going to get started on my small works of mindful stitching. I have age macular degeneration and have lost central vision in my left eye but thankfully still have the use of one eye. Your slow stitching in easy enough to do. Please do more videos! ♥️🥀♥️
Please do more and ideas on what to do with finished pieces, had migraine this morning and watching both of these helped to relax me and eased my head so thank you.
Thank you Sharon - I know what it’s like to suffer with migraine so sending you a virtual hug. There are a few more things on my channel - journal wraps, needle books, kilt pin brooches and bracelet cuffs etc. Also smaller ones on a blank greeting card make fabulous cards and gifts :) There will definitely be more forthcoming! Hope you feel better soon! 🥰
Just found you today and am in love with this technique and your quiet way of narrating what you do. Looking forward to viewing the rest of your videos. Thanks so much for sharing. 🤩
I am new to your channel and want to thank you. It was so easy to follow and it has been probably 40 years since I have done and kind of embroidery and have been very interested in doing the slow stitching. It is appreciated TFS 😊
Second time watching video, working up my courage after watching your slow stitching videos...lol i need a pencil holder like your book cover its taking me time to rhink how to do inside attach it to outside cover..lol id like the idea of sticking the small pieces to canvas wihat a great idea...mikelle art mom✍🎨👩🎨🇨🇦🇺🇸💛
If you pull from the center of a cut strand of 6 threads, it is easier to separate. I’m so happy to have discovered your channel. Embroidery is my favorite. Isn’t it neat that the tiniest piece of felt can be handy.
Thanks for this very informative tutorial. I loved learning about your technique. Slow stitching is a favourite of mine and I love flowers so definitely going try make a few of these blocks. Beautiful. And so good for managing stress and anxiety. Blessings 🙏🏻💗🌸
I enjoyed this project so much!! It is my new obsession. I've been slow stitching for a while, but the idea of miniature art pieces is brilliant!! Thank you for your inspiration. ❤
I use an inexpensive hair straightener. It works on ribbon and fabric. I happened to have one, im not bothering with the hair so it was the perfect repurpose for me 😊
Hi there and thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it :). On 17th March there will be a video on a Travel Stitch Kit featuring a slow stitching piece which you might find interesting!
Greetings from England. I’m brand new to slow stitching and can’t wait to start. Thank you so much for your beautiful tutorial. I’m going to try this as my first project. Great to find your channel. Best wishes, Geraldine
To separate the strands on embroidery floss I usually pull out the strands one at a time then put them together, they pull out much easier and don’t get tangled up. Just a thought for you. Great videos.
My perfectionist attitude toward thread and placement in quilted projects was just done away with! What a soothing memerizing mindset Im left in, right here, by soaking in your creative presentation of craft! Absolutely calm, cool, and I am not quick to get on with my old ways, no no no, I have to try to incorporate this motivation youve left me with into new Ideas!!!😊❤ Thank You for the crazie kooky crafting! lis
Thank you so much for these 2 videos. I just about started doing a piece and could see where my mistake was. Your tutorial is so clear and precise and easy to follow. Love your pieces and specially the book wrap, that is a perfect idea. Stay blessed and take care.❤
Wonderful videos with lovely slow stitching and clear articulate directions. Really like the range of choices you give the viewer when doing these pieces! First time I found you and became a subscriber immediately! Thank you so much for your terrific videos!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments Deb! I’m really pleased that you are enjoying the videos. There will be many more forthcoming mixed in with some of my other videos on art and needle felting. At some point I am going to do a video combining both needle felting and slow stitching - I like to mix it up sometimes 🥰❤️
I love your little art pieces. I have a jar that I keep all my left over threads and make ort balls for embellishments, or as texture in making faux paper.
I loved this project! I have looked at the slow stitching kits online and I knew I was dying to try this but I just couldn’t make myself pay those prices. Now I’m so glad I didn’t buy one because I have everything I need to do this already and I can’t wait to get started!❤
I’m so happy you enjoyed it! Yes - the joy of slow stitching is that in the main you will already have everything that you need to get going. It’s worth looking in thrift shops or charity store for clothes made of interesting fabrics that you can cut up and use too. Enjoy your new hobby - it’s addictive 😀❤️
I busted out laughing when you said you would not want to finger press a shirt! I do not love to iron. I am capable but just don't necessarily enjoy. Love the backing fabric!
You did a good job with these Part 1&2 videos👍🏼 Thank you! I’d like to make a slow stitch “booklet” with pages to send back and forth between my bff and I. Could you make a video on how you’d go about doing this?
With one hole I can do this two ways - first one would be to use a small bead on top and stitch through the sequin, pop on a bead and then go down through the sequin again. The second way would be to hold the sequin in place with two stitches either side - through the centre to one side and back through the centre to the other side :). Hope that helps! 🥰
Oh boy those are darling! Might be cute coasters. With enough of those, maybe a small wall quilt, decorative pillows, shopping bag. Or a pocket outside a home sewn purse, shirt/pants pocket. Fridge magnet would be cute or an eyeglass case.
Great ideas! Lots that you can do with them 🤗
Absolutely beautiful and inspiring! Thank you so very much for sharing your talent.

Thank you so much! Yes I can certainly have a go at a booklet tutorial - it is on my list of videos to make as I want to do the same thing :) ❤️
🎉😊Congratulations!
Thank you 🥰
These would make wonderful cards. Thanks for your nice tutorial. 🙂
Thank you and I’m pleased you enjoyed it. 🥰❤️
Спасибо☺!!!! С любовью из Москвы, Россия!
You are very welcome :)
Loved this thankyou, could i ask how you would sew a sequin on when they have only one hole 🤔. Im definitely one for a bit of bling 😆
Thank you.
You're welcome! 🥰
😊👍🏻❤️
Thank you
