@@Vaderhimselfone question about the motion tile, it was fine for another video but I added it to a video that was 1920*802 (whiplash movie) and it fucked it up I had to play around with the tile center. Do you know what tile center should be at?
@asianyeat It depends on the composition size, try the default settings by selecting (reset) on top of the effects settings. The Tile Center is half the value of the composition. for example, if you are editing a 1920*1080 composition, it should be 960*540 (half)

I don't know much about TikTok but you should lower the upload size. that prevents tiktok from compressing your video any further

It can be done both before and after, but if you're using transitions with motion blur, it's better to use it before editing

Yes, you can, but if your edit has too many transitions, it would be better to do it before editing
Hey, great video. One thing I'd like to ask is: after topaz, how do you scale it down at AE? I downscale it to 1080p to around 40mb and .mov format. Should I keep these settings? I could also keep it 4k or change format to mp4. Another thing is topaz output it like 2GB for a 1 min video, isn't that a lot
if you want to keep editing with it, it's better to keep the file size as the default. but if you're uploading it without further editing, it's better to lower the file size (1080p)

can we add it to topaz once we finished our edit? like after im done i add cc sharpen etc.. and as a final touch i add it to topaz, or it needs to be a raw clip to work?
it will work, if your final edit didn't look good after applying Topaz, try lighter settings

When I output it in h265, the image is clear, but the video stutters. What are your media encoder output settings. You're welcome! exporting from Topaz can be quite demanding for your cpu, especially if it's in the h265 format.If you're experiencing stuttering, you can try installing a different video player. also, reducing the file size before exporting can help.As for my output settings, I usually render my videos in 1080p using the h264 format because it works well for Instagram. I also use lower bitrates to reduce file size

it's possible to edit anything with that, the only difference is the model you use in Topaz since you might have different purposes

Hello friend, good video, it helps me solve my error, the entire program works well for me and the video starts to be exported, but there comes a part where it says 1/2 downloading models 0.0 fps, and from there it does nothing more and I don't know rendering never ends. Hey, Topaz works with different models which need to be downloaded separately, just make sure the internet is connected and the firewall is off. once the download is finished it will export your clips
a few questions, does topaz change the file size after it does its thing and if yes by how much? (i want to know if i use this method will it still compress my videos if i upload to instagram)
also do u have a tutorial for davinci resolve? and if not can i just skip the whole thing u did in after effects?
It depends on the file size you're importing into it before upscaling and the export bit rate. As for Davinci Resolve, I haven't used that software yet,but sharpening and saturation can be found in all the editing software.you can skip that part if you want. doing it makes your video look better on instagram and tiktok

I have a single frame speed of 16 seconds, so a video with a duration of 10 seconds takes 2 hours to export. Do you have a solution? 😔
You can try making the upscale size 100% smaller or lowering the input resolution to fix the problem. If that doesn't work, try using a different model. If you've tried everything and it still doesn't work, it might be time to upgrade your computer

Bro can i use topaz after doing all my edits? Will there be any problem? Or do i have ti cut the clips first than export in after effects, than import in topaz, than export in topaz and again have to edit in after effects? This seems to a very long task
Sure, you can do that, but it might affect the motion blur and your edited video might look weird. However, if motion blur isn't a concern for you, then it's an option you can consider. Just remember to export the upscaled video in MP4 format because that's the recommended format for social media
@@Vaderhimself I don't usually use motion blur in my edits but some plugins used it by default so that would be a concern if that goes bad

Umm, I know this is very cheap in video editing commumity, but I use capcut for editing my clips its very handy and simple, it would be extremely helpfull, if you could make the video on creating the same effect in capcut
I'm not very familiar with CapCut, but if you have a computer, you can export your edits from CapCut and import them into Topaz. or alternatively, you could use "Wink Video Enhancer" on your phone.

When you use the sharpen tool, the edges will look weird. Motion tile will fix it

Mine topaz don't have option for custom adjustments, it's have preset and one click only.... how can i enable for custom settings
If you're using a new version of Topaz, you need to change the Parameter from Auto to Manual (it's located under Enhancement )

You can use this tutorial to improve the quality of your edits. If you don't want it to be illustrated and cartoonish, you can try using different upscaling models in Topaz such as "Artemis". Additionally, the rendering options play a crucial role, and I will be creating a tutorial on that soon
@@VaderhimselfThat is really interesting thank you. Whilst I know its on trend to have that ‘illustrated’ and ‘waxy’ upscaled look, I personally find it doesn't fit my preference for my work. I have been following your edits since late 2020 and they look noticibly upscaled but with a different outcome - so I assume a different upscale method was employed? I will have fun playing around with these settings on Topaz.
@@lailanimarcuss9941 Back when Creator Studio was still open, all I had to do to get great quality was use sharpening and a high-quality scene pack. it was not perfect but that was my go-to method. It's a bit more challenging to achieve a good quality now. but editors always manage to find ways to make it look less compressed

nah bro its actually useful because sharpen creates a white line on the border of your edit video, so adding motion tile prevents the white line

I've had both old and new versions. you can use the old version, it might be slower but there are no huge differences among them

There's an option in Topaz that allows you to lower the bitrate and the file size. it's located next to the render options

I make shorts that are subtitled. Is it better to have the fully finished version and then put it through AE --> Topaz.
Or should I do my subtitling AFTER it has been through "AE & Topaz" ?
Topaz makes the subtitles look weird, try both to find which one works better for you
