I filed the flywheel notch to set the ignition back toward top dead center. Change the centrifugal clutch springs for light ones. Now you can troll. Your throttle cable should be greased. I don't leave any gas in the tank for any amount of time. It's 2 horsepower.
Been waiting for this. I'm still confused about the lower end lubrication but you found a pretty good fix. Plan now is to spend the winter looking for the boat. 😎👍
Yes it was a fairly easy job to take the lower unit apart, just pull the cotter pin on the prop and slide it off. Then it’s just the 2 bolts for the cover and it slides right off
Did the grease leak back out around the prop shack? How fast did you say you got it to go? Have you made a follow-up video yeah? This review was very helpful thank you
No leaking at all. It’s worked very well over the last several months. With just myself in the boat it averages 5-6 mph moving upriver in the small boat. Haven’t made another video specifically on the motor but we have used it in a 3 day musky fishing trip and roughly 20-30 river miles with no issues to date.
Thank you for your reply on gas and electric. You can do Noise decibel meter on phone. I'm jerked each way with this for small dingy. 7 ft. Do you think I could move back from motor and block some sound. Use throttle extension? Thank you
So what your telling me is you have to take apart the lower unit and put gear oil in? Putting oul in the main top unit will not trickle down into that lower unit
Yep, so far so good. Since uploading the video it’s been on multiple 2-3 day musky trips, lots of lake days, and probably somewhere around 30-40 river miles. Still fires first or second pull every time without issue. We have definitely not been easy on it either. Bounced the lower unit off logs and rocks and run it wide open for miles. So far so good. We ordered some upgrade parts for it to see if we can improve on it some, just waiting to get them in.

I’ll stick with a tried and true outboard. Getting stranded on the water is no picnic
very cool
change the plug if its still has the stock plug and adj the carb.pull
Hey...where did you guys buy the wigs😉😆👍
Still looking for exact model number for your boat. Can't find unit with wooden seat inlays
That is a Sun Dolphin American 12 boat. The inlays on the seat are Seadek flooring that I installed in an earlier video about the boat
You can get the SeaDek flooring on Amazon or from SeaDek directly
Nice!

Correct you could drill and tap a fill hole in it but it does not come with a fill hole in the lower unit
demir kısımlar hemen ısınıyor normal mi?
Going to be picking up one of these motors for a Nucanoe Pursuit 13.5. At 72 I would rather spend my time on the water fishing as opposed to paddling.
I’ve had this one for a few months now and still running strong!
Tighten your throttle cable your prop should engage first click your probably running half throttle
Is it still going without issues?

Why did the turkeys cross the river?
To get to the other side 😮
lol that and getting chased by goofballs on 4 wheelers

🤔😂🤪
Quieter than I expected it to be.
Doubt it’s 4hp more like 1.5-2
Yes I agree, I’m sure the hp is much lower than rated.
Also remove the governor screw thank me later
Yes I grew up with go-karts, we learned about governors early on lol. I’m working on part 2 of this video where I’m upgrading the motor.
