I'm Adam, thanks for checking out my channel. My family and I have a passion for fly fishing and we love to share it with others! We are based in Kentucky but travel whenever we get the chance. We also mix in some backpacking, hunting, and other outdoor activities we like. I really enjoy tying unique flies that are quick and easy to tie. We do a lot of fly fishing for bluegill and other small panfish hence the name Flying Gills. I enjoy testing different outdoor equipment and will mix some reviews in from time to time. Almost Stranded in the Resto Project #boat #fishing
Finally out on the river in the restored 1978 Gamefisher. I didn't have my large motor ready yet so we decided to slap on the Hangkai 4hp from @amazon
and give it a shot. I purchased what was supposed to be an upgrade from the factory prop but as you will see in the video it didn't end well. We had a great time on the river regardless of the motor issues and so far the game fisher seems promising as a good boat.

Glock 23 to 9mm Conversion

In this video I am converting my Gen 4 Glock 23 to a 9mm for the purpose of saving money on ammunition. I am also doing a few simple upgrades to enhance the sights and illumination of the firearm. Most of the upgrades were purchased from amazon.com aside from the 9mm conversion barrel which was sourced from lonewolfdist.com along with the titanium recoil rod.

Picked up 2 of the new @TempleForkOutfitters Professional spinning rods and paired them up with some Spartacus 2 spinning reels from @KastKing Both rods performed well spooled up with some Kast King line and some jerk and swim baits tied on. Picked these rods up for the purpose of having a slightly heavier duty in shore rod that would also work well in freshwater fisheries. Both rods and reels ...

Continuing on restoring our old fishing boat. This little skiff is 46 years old and we are bringing new life to it. We completed the sanding and cleaning now on to the painting process. We are painting the boat with Duralux Marine Paint.

In this short video me and Gabe went out to fish a small river in NJ that's known for Snakehead fishing. We got skunked by the snakehead but managed to catch a nice little bass. Hopefully we will get a second shot at the snakehead before we head back to KY. Using my TFO Axiom II-X 6wt fly rod.

I fly fish and was worried about the not being stable enough todo that. But watching you fly fish, it looks like stability isn’t an issue.

How do you keep the cooler from moving when using the grab bar ?
A combination of weight in the cooler and some anti slip rubber glued to the bottom of the cooler. It stays firmly in place.
I keep the trolling motor battery in a box inside the cooler

Same thing happened to me with the aluminum prop swap.......probably best to just stick with the original plastic prop. I was 15km out when it happened. Thank God someone towed us back!!

I had the same motor for the same boat that you have. The motor has no power. My propeller locked up, and I sent it back and got a full refund.
Glad we didn’t have to row all the way back.
Need to find a 25-30hp outboard for the gamefisher

I also have a 78 game fisher that I had restored once before. It’s ready for some fiberglass repairs again due to the trailer. We’re going to replace the tilt trailer frame with bunk runners to help protect the boat.

So what your telling me is you have to take apart the lower unit and put gear oil in? Putting oul in the main top unit will not trickle down into that lower unit
Correct you could drill and tap a fill hole in it but it does not come with a fill hole in the lower unit

Hows the 2x compared to the blitz
@@gregjr63 my personal opinion the blitz is a better rod for throwing the heavier sink tip lines, it has the action further down in the blank and has a softer more forgiving cast than the 2x. That being said the 2x is still my favorite TFO rod. Very fast action that I prefer for lighter lines than the blitz.
@flyinggillsoutdoors8058 so what would you choose for mostly bass and carp fishing and the occasional saltwater fishing. I'm mostly throwing big poppers. Also price wise the axiom 2x is on sale by me for 299. Which is a steal
@@gregjr63 2x for sure. It’s always my go to, the blitz I use more for musky and deeper saltwater stuff for heavy sink tips
