Anyone that is turning on goff is fucking wild. Dude carried us to win the north back to back vs being where the bears are. Everyone chanting his name cant start pointing the finger. The fans are just as much to blame as anyone. Every single time the commanders were in the huddle it was quiet as church until they got to the line. This is what happens when ticket prices are so expensive nobody can afford to not sell their tickets to people that dont understand how to make noise.

There's a difference between turning on Goff and having concerns in think. Goff didn't look good in Vikes game either. He had a lot of deer in headlights moments in that game and it's concerning. Mentally I worry about him.

@ its more the fact that everyone every where was chanting his name and then instatly turned on the dude..... shit blows my mind.... i understand being upset...... that shit hurt like a really hot chick that does this thing with her mouth that you love........ that breaks up with you...... shit crushed my soul...... i was so disappointed...... goff has his share of the blame but he isnt the sole reason we lost that game..... far from it..... the defense made two stops...... and even after throwing a hand ful of picks kept it two two scores..... this honestly should have been a blow out with the amount of picks throw.... but he kept his composure.... not to mention he was likely concussed or at least had some head fog from that hit to the head..... BJ didnt call a great game..... feels like the offense play calling was kind of just thrown together and didnt feel like it had that lions feel to it..... BJ also had no business calling that jamo throw....
      *tldr*
all that to say that goff had a horrible game..... but so did the rest of team

That’s what I saw too. It wasn’t just that he felt the pressure mentally. When Glasgow blew that block that led to the strip sack, he wasn’t totally comfortable in the pocket. But the hero ball decisions were definitely Goff feeling the pressure to go point for point with Washington.

I agree with Steve I don’t think we can win with Jerred Goff I mean how much more talent do you need on your team. You have everything you have a dream team from top to bottom on protection and weapons that no other QB has. Bro bowlers and all pros up and down the line. The resilience of the coaching staff and you go and shit the bed BIG TIME. Just by writing this text I am still devastated what happened. Like Will said we NEED to look for duel threat QB. That’s the direction the modern NFL is heading. Somebody tell me what’s going on Hendon Hooker. He has been in our staff for 2 years. If he hasn’t learned the book by now, he never will because he is a duel threat. We want to know if the kid got it or not. He could be our future.

This is all pretty simple: Goff for the Lions, as he was for the Rams, is a valuable part of transforming the team from also-ran to contender, and then the bridge to a better QB who sees LA/Detroit as a desirable destination with a shot at a Super Bowl win. Goff has accomplished his purpose for both teams. Now let’s see if the Lions are willing and capable to take that next bold step.

The thing that is disturbing about Goff and that loss is this: Jared isn't a superb athlete. He doesn't have the strongest arm, and he isn't mobile. His strength has always been his football IQ and his ability to read defenses and make good decisions. He absolutely failed at that in this loss. I would argue that this loss was not as bad as the beat down he took in his first SB loss. There is a pattern, though. He doesn't seem to have what it takes to shine in the big post season situations.

Love the take guys. This is a topic most don't want to have, but I'm for it. JG is a good qb but there is a reason he was cast aside. He couldn't ask for a more perfect situation and he literally fumbled and threw it away. Now that the brains behind his ascension may be leaving what will he do? I know one thing the league is moving past his type and going in a more mobile direction. We knew that the defense wasn't going to be able to do much but most thought that since we made EVERYTHING perfect for JG he could carry us at least past a rook in a divisional round with a week off to get his mind right. I'll tell you this. It doesn't get much more perfect than what he had this year and that's why I feel we need a qb that can move and improvise. These defenders are not shrinking and getting slower. Even the best O line is going to have a leak or 2... Just my thoughts. Keep up the good work! Go Lions

SOME content creators like to amplify whatever the Lions PR puts into the trivial atmosphere: "Jared Goff has completed 95% of his passses when the WR and/or RB runs a 5-yard route or less since Week 8 in '23, blah blah blah."
It's all bullshit. The sentence, itself, may or may NOT be true.
    But, it's still bullshit.
Here's another example. If I say "Remember when there was a time that Jared Goff had gone 350-something passes without an interception?" These SAME folks know the exact number of passes and over what timeframe.
The minute I say "Jared Goff threw 12 interceptions during THIS regular season AND gave it up v. the Commandos....." Bro., my sentence ain't even done and here comes the Ol' "Yeah, well those INTs was because *insert excuse*. That ain't on Goff."
Fine. If THEY truly believe that, fine with me.
At the end of the Super Bowl, the difference between Jared Goff and the QBs still standing in the playoffs (as of TODAY) is the ability to make plays. 🦁

@Lobby_75 I have no idea what you mean, Lobby.
I never said anybody was "better than". There was a game a few weeks back that Jared Goff threw 5 INTs. Those count, too. (SOME folks chose to disregard them because the Lions got the W.) And, I suspect that Defensive Coordinators around the League took note.
In fact, those 5 INTs are only separate from the other 7 because they happened on a different day.
I don't care what Jared Goff's completion % is. Nor, his QBR. Not even his PFF grades matter to me.
Jared Goff hasn't won an MVP and he hasn't won a Super Bowl.
I saw Mikey Sainristil, a rookie, beat him on Saturday. 🦁

@tailor-mademedia1406 All picks count just some more than others. The pick 6 and the one right before half were back breakers.
yeah I don't care about any of the stats either. I am saying we are essentially in win now mode (next two ish years) no one available is better. So it is easier to me to invest in the offensive and defensive lines than find a new QB.

      @Lobby_75 I see, Lobby.
I never played QB. I was a Corner.
Maybe those folks who care about whatever QB stats the most never got beat deep. (Or, maybe never even suited up at all. At ANY level.) I got beat deep in my very first Varsity snap.
      I know what it's like.
I'm not in some Fantasy League. And, I don't bet on games.

The Lions should had played Hooker more earlier in the season especially when the Lions were blowing team like Dallas out. The Lions should had have Goff practice running from a blitz or under practice during the off season last year. The Lions should invest in a bench quarterback whom could be groomed int9 being greater. However the Lions need to invest in their defense. Defense could had carry the team to victory when Goff and the offense kept screwing up.

I'm with Steve and everything that he stated about the Lions offense. Goff is a seasoned quarterback, and unlike Daniels, why didn't he put the ball where only Jamo could catch it, high and it can't get under cut. All of Daniels passes were put where only his teammates could make the catch. That pass was thrown late, just like a lot of passes he threw were off. A seasoned quarterback makes much better decisions. Turnovers gave Washington points that the Lions didn't get. Turnovers gave Washington momentum, and they won the game.

One thing that the Washington Commanders had that the Lions didn’t have is the position of having nothing to lose and everything to gain. Jayden Daniels was more composed to make better plays because the pressure wasn’t on him to win this game as it was for Goff to bring this team to the next level. Think about it. What did Washington had to lose? Daniels could afford to make mistakes and still look good. Goff couldn’t but did and the Lions suffered from it.

Good morning, we’ve went from Jared Goff chants to Jared Soff chants. 🤷🏻‍♂️ 😆
No, but seriously there is some questions to be answered, the sad thing is we just signed the guy and now we are kinda married to him. We do have some hard questions to look at after that performance in that big game!
I don’t know fellas maybe it’s time to draft one and get em ready to take over ASAP!
I was thinking If Ben Johnson goes to the raiders, maybe we can come up with a trade package to send Hooker with Ben, and get Maxx Crosby sent here? Not sure how that would look? But, that is a scenario that would be worth entertaining. 3 free agent QB’s we could look at is Justin Fields, Sam Darnold, and Zach Wilson. And I know they are nothing special! And that is If Hooker goes to LA with Ben. Best option IMO is draft one this year. Maybe we could grab Ole Miss Jaxson Dart. He could be ready in a year or two I think. And has all the tools! Needs to work on the mental aspect of the game though.

Aaron Glen takes part blame, as does Dan. Daniel's is right handed, 90% of the QB options went to the right side. Aaron didn't adjust to it. Washington runs a fast huddle, even while subbing. We weren't ready for that, thus unprepared and unsure of job responsibilities. Last, a penalty of 12 men on the Field on a key down? Really? Again, fast huddle.

The skills of today’s players are unbelievable compared to those of past teams, they however lack the heart and courage to play at a at a level of the players of 1950 and the 1960! I agree putting the ball in Jamo's hands, but a pass play, 25 yds down field, between multiple defenders? Desperate!! This narrative that Goff has all these weapons & needs a "perfect" situation is so tired.
8 of the last 10 Super Bowls have won by absolute stars: Mahomes (3) Brady (4) and Manning (1). Sprinkle in Stafford (very good but had a helluva team around him) and 1 outlier in Nick Foles.
There are not a bunch of Bradys, Mahomes, and Mannings floating around, so the majority of teams need to have a helluva team built around a GOOD quarterback.
Goff is the NFC pro bowl starter in a top five QB in the league. The ONLY way you consider moving on from him is if you're absolutely sure you have the next Patrick Mahomes to take his place.
Otherwise, you do what all teams who hope to win a super bowl do - build a good team of everybody, including the quarterback. (Surround him with talent).
It's what every team does that does not have Patrick mahomes, and you shouldn't downplay the quarterback's accomplishments, because he has a good team around him..

Where to start, well ill start were you did Goff 5 TO no, sorry 3 int 1 sack fumble. The last int was in garbage time, so? Jamo through a pick.
Atp, even with he's 2 int and the sack fumble we were in position to win this game still because of Goff and Gibbs.
Both Guards played terrible Glasgow and Mahogany, Decker gave up the edge on the sack fumble.
Goff could never step in the pock or plante his feet, always being push off his mark with inside pressure.
Idk why monty was in the game, they said he was healthy but was he?
He didnt have that explosive strong first step in this game. He was slow sluggish and at time looked intimidated.
Why was Gibbs taking out the game? He was killing them with no answers. He needs a breaks we have suitable depth without Monty who was not healthy.
Jack Campbell blitzing wth was i watching he's not a pass rusher he cant shed blocks. He is a coverage LB
Anzolony can blitz, cover, and block shed. Joseph looked lost in coverage didnt know where he was on the field.
Vildor played good for his caliber was impressed.
I dont understand what play calls Johnson was given Goff became yes we had nice calls and there was some terrible calls too.
This is on the Coaching staff unfortunately. Overwhelmed underprepaired. Plane and simple.

Defense does win championships...that statement is that, for a reason.

@ 100% agree with you. It's not fair on Jared Goff. No other team in the playoffs had as wrecked of a swiss cheese defense as the Lions had. How they got the #1 seed is a miracle....

Man this shit hurts man. I live in West Texas but I was born and raised in Detroit and I represent Detroit everywhere I go. Being emotionally invested in sports teams is a fine line. I was extremely invested in our Lions and it hurts man, but I was not on the Goff train myself; I feel this league is a mobile qb league BUT, you can’t win games if your defense is mediocre. Offense wins games, defense wins championships. I tell my daughter’s a softball team that all the time. Washington’s defense was a lot better than our and that’s why they won the game.

Graham Glasgow got beat on when JG fumbled so that can be 50/50 but the interceptions totally JG.

The root of their problem was the defensive line. They couldn’t get any pressure at all… Zero sacks.
And blitzes weren’t getting home either. Daniels had all day. They put up 38 points on offense like it was nothing.
Goff was turnover prone… but if the defense could have gotten stops, Goff would have played more conservatively… less turnovers… more run game…

We cant give anyone a pass for failure. Goff turned the ball over 4 times. I am not sure if Goff is the guy but if the GM thinks he can then he will be here forever so we will see.
