Your new base is very similar to the one I made for my pm-940. If you ever take things apart again, consider drilling a few holes and filling the tubes with sand. It really dampens out any vibration.
Great build as usual, thank you. I’ve built a stand for my 833TV, but will eventually need to modify the stainless steel chip pan once I convert it to CNC.
Great video. I wish PM would sell the bases individually, or if you could mix and match bases and machines. My 30MV shipped yesterday so I need to figure out a base for it as I took your recommendation and didn't buy the one offered with it. Got the TTS manual starter kit from LMS and I'll be getting a 5" Shars vice soon. I wanted to ask you, are you ever going to upgrade to a power draw bar? Or is the TTS fast and easy enough that it doesn't warrant it?
@@JJJohnson-e7h nice! You’re going to like the share vise. I don’t plan on switching to a power draw bar any time too soon. It would be nice to have, but the TTS system is pretty nice. Now that the base is done, I’d really like to upgrade my spindle motor. That may be next!
This is almost exactly like my base. I put hockey puck levelling feet and wheels on mine. I also put a Husky tool cart in the opening under it...i sent you a pic....
I did the same thing with the hockey pucks. Work great. I used 2.5" square x 1/8" thick tube and a 1/2" steel plate to sit the mill base of my G0702 on.
Hey dusan - hope you're well! It's definitely a really old endmill - and I am running it pretty close to the limit and the camera and lighting definitely bring out all the imperfections! Cheers - Adam
PM is somewhere around the price/quality ratio where you don't have to completely rebuild your mill or lathe on the first day it arrives. Sadly still more than my wallet can handle.

Cheers! Is the 833 TV Stand flimsy, too? I thought it came w a cast base.
Great video! I’m thinking to get a PM-728VM. Have you heard if that base modification for greater Y travel also applies to the 728?
Great vid! Did you bolt it to the floor, or use leveling feet. I'm curious if bolting it to the floor makes it better or worse? Cheers!
Just levelling feet here. Adjusting on studs into the floor is a good idea, though. How’s your build coming??
Hello from Canary Islands. Nice and heavy duty. 👍Length, width, height? Pleaseeeeee!!!...... and Merry Christmas

I like the toolbox you built in. Great use of space. Thanks for the pics and Merry Christmas, buddy. - Adam
