5 years ago, I moved to the United States. Since I’m not a native English speaker but had no significant issues communicating with my colleagues, I thought my English was okay. On the other hand, I kept thinking that if I had some variations in my expression, the conversation would be lively, so I tried this video. As it turned out, it was more than I expected. My colleague asked me who wrote this email, and it was a great surprise for me. Thank you, Maria!

Hi, Maria! How're things with you? Hope you're well and enjoying the weekend, at best. This was a wonderful way to start out my day by watching your incredibly useful and concise video with the key points and tips that a person should keep in mind when writing up business emails and correspondences. To cut a long story short, I did overseas collections for a law firm for eighteen years, and I was blessed to have learned from the exchange of emails I had with the clients on a daily basis how to write better business emails. Fortunately, drafting business correspondences, as well as speaking on the phone, are not difficult for me - thanks to the hundreds of thousands of emails and phone calls that I had with the clients (mostly from the good of US of A) throughout the time I worked at the law firm collecting payment from overseas clients on their past-due bills. Again, thank you so much Maria, for this amazing video - I just LOOOVED it! Please keep it up, and, to your continued success! 🍾🥂

Hello, Maria, could you teach us how to identify the tone of the email? The real situation is complicated for non-native speakers. it happens sometimes that I am unable to read between the lines so I misunderstand the emergency of the situation and the mood of the recipient, the result is devastating.

@@user-le4pj6qh8q That's a great point, and I'm sure so many other people have the same questions here. So much of communication goes beyond the actual words we use. I'll make a video about this to help explain, thanks for the idea!
