I totally agree about the cool finishes being on the cheaper Ibanez, in hte last few years the prestige models are very "safe" ....and boring. "It looks broken" is the quote of the day thought
Some of those pretty finish paints might not survive very well in 10 or 20 years. On the expensive models they think people might want to collect them in 20 years so they go with safe, proven, paint types.
That's an excellent question! I actually bought it because of the finish which looks cool on stage. Also bringing lower budget guitars to gigs relaxes me a bit in case I drop it or run into something. Plus what Cederick says it's good to have options. 🙂

I own the purple RG 652 without the Edge and it is one of the best guitars I ever had. The colour sounds just sooooo good. Okay, let's be honest, it's of course the playability of the Super Wizard HP neck. The only reason I don't play it very often is that I hate the necks on all my other guitars after playing this thing. Besides my S6570SK of course, as it has the same neck and is even more comfortable. I might get the GIO in the video as a mod platform, that colour also sounds pretty impressive.
Is there anything that can top the sound of a royal plum burst? 😂 Using the GIO as a mod platform is a fantastic idea! It's a great foundation for sure! Wait until you hear the colour in your room! 🤘
Thanks man! We had a blast! I didn't mention that the video was shot already in July. Running around in shorts and shirt would be crazy currently as it is -2 degrees Celsius in Germany. 😂 You have to come over to Germany and check one of our shows bro (we have plenty of cold ones backstage 😅)
I did not even snap about winter thing it's been cold here as well burning alot of wood, yeah I agree on the G series Ibanez guitar finishes some of those colors should be on the the other models as well ..happy Sunday 🤘🍻😈🎸

I'd enjoy some freaky 80's finishes on the Premium or even Prestige models for sure! 🤘 Headless guitars, my gf summed that up very well...😂

I have both kinda fancy Ibanez like RG550 and PGM301 but also a GIO that I also like to play, nothing wrong having options! :)
