I love this style of rough cover. By rough, we mean played on an acoustic in a living room with no special microphones or setup, recorded on an inexpensive home camera. That's my jam. It's real. I subscribed. I also put out my own rough cover versions of songs and some originals on my channel, though it's mostly centered around He-Man toys now.
Excellent, this was a musical feast! I wasn't expecting anything nearly so intricate and well thought out. Most impressive! Great cover. I'm going to steal as much of your arrangement as I can figure out!
Great Cover, do you have chords chart for this , would be very useful. Whats the chord at time 1:57? ( A Major chord inversion?) Thanks! Would you have chance to have a look at doing a cover for Madonna's song Angel?
Thanks, Rajesh. I don't have a chord chart (I just play by ear) but you are right - that's an inversion; so is the following chord. It's such a well-written song. I don't know "Angel" but I'll have a listen. I do have a version of "Crazy For You" on here too. :-)
@@DavidWoodsGuitar no problems, that's awesome that you can play by ear ! I'll check the Crazy for you cover out that you mention, Angel would be nice to cover if you get time. Thankyou!
Thank you. I was in search of a decent acoustic of borderline, and all I could find was some trash with breathy vocals and overly intricate guitar lines. Nice cover. Honest and raw
Thank you! I'm not sure what some of the chords are actually called - there are a few inversions in there; the kind of thing I hear piano players do and I just try to use those ideas.
Wow, David, best single acoustic cover I have seen of this song (and I have seen many). Is your background jazz guitar? Impressive for a take in your kitchen. I hope you play music full time; the world needs you!
Wow, Kelly! Thank you so much for your lovely comments; I am genuinely touched by them. To answer your question - I am self-taught (from listening to old AC/DC records!), with no jazz background, and almost zero theory. I spent many years learning by ear, listening, and playing with musicians who were better than me. I love listening to jazz but never learned how to play it. I work full-time (in IT 😀) but I play every day as it's my lifelong passion. I love the challenge of taking on songs like this and making them work on guitar; I am delighted you liked it! Greetings from Ireland. ☘☘
Hi Rick, it's a Lowden O32. Lowden are an Irish company making some of the finest acoustic guitars on the planet for the past 45 years. The "O" refers to the body shape and the "32" refers to the woods used in building; in this case rosewood back and spruce top. Mine turns 20 this year and the top has darkened over time to slightly resemble cedar. If you get the chance, you have to try them. :-)
Thanks for watching but I don't have tabs, I'm afraid - it's just my own arrangement. If there's a part you can't figure out from the video, let me know. :-)

Stick with it, you'll get to his level of playing before you know it. Suddenly twenty years go by and you're almost there! 😂

Excellent 👍. Except during bridge don't go high keep it low like the verses
Thanks for the feedback, Mike. I tried it that way but it was a bit flat and the chorus just needed a lift. Thanks for watching.
Nope thst ones not happening 😰🙈
