I'm the same age as the person who wrote the very first post haha, I tend to ask people in game what their age is because for one I ain't baby siting no body kid, regardless if they new to the game or not. When I first started playing, I kept meeting so many kids 😭 so much drama man...The age gap is just too much for me because we are in different places in life. I play strictly with people close, and around my age to prevent any awkwardness from each other. 🫶🏼 That's crazy some people think we ancient lmfao 🤣 I'm either the sister or mom in sky haha I like this format of videos, I'd like to see more like it!
I've had an interaction with 2 young Chinese players, I had to use the translate function to understand them, but they asked my age and i was fine with giving it, they both bowed to me and called me big brother, it was adorable.
Once I was asked by chinese boy how old I am and when I answered him with "27" he sad wow what does it feel like to be that old lol The boy was 17 and asked me if he can call me a big sister! Made me giggle and happy lol
I speak Japanese, and I easily make friends with Japanese players because of that. I usually assume they are my age, but I recently found out that one of them is only 16! She called me お兄さん and it was so precious.
I'm 41, been playing Sky since 2020. I met one of my good friends on there when they were 16, we started playing every day, they got me to do voice chat for the first time lol, now they've gone away to college! I feel like I got to watch them grow up a little. They're super cool and kind to me as well and as an adult with no kids, it's been an honor to be able to be some small part of a young person's life and make a positive impact on them in some way. All that has made any time a child on there calls me old worth it :)
I’m 41 as well, no kids, and can really relate to what you are saying. Before Sky, I never would have imagined that some of my best friends in game would be as young as 16-20. And actually, I initially thought I would play Sky with the intention not to form any friendships at all, content to explore and enjoy the world alone. The wisdom taught in such friendships goes both ways, I’m an ear for them, and indirectly, they have really helped me to accept and be more proud of my age in a world where society puts a lot of pressure on older people to look young, and to have achieved a certain amount of life landmark things by a certain time. Friendships with a large age gap have not been encouraged or looked upon fondly in society (understandably), but I do believe and have found there is something precious in them which is world-healing. Uniting perspectives, empathy, compassion, taking our differences into our hands to create a better future for our planet and global community, is possible starting with us. Kindness and respect creating a beautiful ripple effect in contrast to turbulent times.
35, respect to my elders! So rare to find in my usual games. Yeah i gotta take it with a grain of salt when interacting with some ppl but esp on sky the community is still wholesome. Love meeting and talking to ppl, sharing experiences etc Nothing to add that you haven't already said!!
i recently met a player who had 2 stars and dying under broken bridge. I rushed and helped and collected their wings. they thanked me. I took them to baker in village so we could chat and i taught them a lot of things. eventually we unlocked free chat and went on CRs together. but they didn't know how to receive candle after collecting all the wax (by clicking on top left the jiggling candle icon). I got really frustrated explaining 'do you see a red arrow on candle click on it' still didn't get it and i blurted out 'how old are you' and they responded 'i think I'm older than you'. I took that as a counter insult. I said 'you are a troll I'm blocking you' (because who wouldn't be able to notice wax filling their candle, so i thought they are trolling) they said 'im so sad' 'im not a troll'. we eventually talked and found that she is a 60 yr old Japanese grandma. and she said 'i love sky. i met you. I'm so happy.' i then felt very bad for getting mad at them because they couldn't figure a basic game mechanic. but then I understood. now we play together daily and she's so cute with her humor and I just feel bad for making her play the game alone, i want to hold her hand and fly them with me and do candleruns. like looking after them and explaining them things. i sometimes get bad internet and they disappear. then they would type on discord 'i fell' (because I was holding their hand and they weren't controlling and then i disappear from their game they fell) I again felt so bad 😭 like oh poor grandma they were relying on me and they innocently said 'i fell'. we talk a lot now and have so much fun. and they keep praising me all the time haha. now I look forward to do my CRs only with them now playing solo feels of no point (I used to play solo all the time before I met them). update after few months: that player turns out very degraded. I never play with them now 👍🏻
@@luchat4917 that was my first thought when reading this 💀 but i never assume someone language is English. Just simply because of language barriers. That could be a reason they do not understand or something. Or like their age. I've met so many older players. Like 40+ years old. Even 2 of my friends are more "veteran" than me but because of their age they stil don't know the game mechanics. And just have been playing that long but not improving 😅
Im 30 next year!! I have a friend on sky who is 73 and she is very sweet, most players are young but i love meeting players my age❤ the youngest player i met was 11 and they needed help from an older kid who was mee, im happy to help players of all ages its an innocent community ❤

lol .. I am the mother of a teenage daughter. I have a lot of young ones around but I appreciate the random moms I met on Sky. Sky is better once you find your group of adult friends. One of my friends is an ICU nurse and popping up to talk about his shift or something familiar - I worked as a medical scientist myself :D .. we are not only old, but wise, smart and fun! Don't you think life is better knowing that people in high professions are having fun too? I don't know but I think it is cool :D . I don't know why people around Sky think it is for children only. It can be for everyone. :)

Sky is marketed as a game for all ages and that’s what makes the community and atmosphere so pure, during the 5th anniversary Jenova quite literally stated it outright for himself as their main goal when creating the game, people baffle me lol enjoy your gaming
I think we need to make an adult (SFW) discord server or something lol. Nothing wrong with kids or even playing with/helping them in sky, but I feel pretty weird befriending them 😅
That’s understandable but it’s fine as long as you are being normal about it. Kids don’t usually think about age. They are just looking for a really nice friend to talk to
I’m 41, and my first in-game age reveal as a moth occurred in the presence of a 17 year old and an inquisitive 8 year old. I felt awkward and embarrassed to admit my age, but was blessed to have been met with the response: “We are all Sky Kids at heart”. The then-17 year old and I have since become among one of each other’s best friends in Sky.
Any time a kid asks me why I’m still playing games at my age, I just pull an uno reverse and ask them if they plan to never play games themselves the moment they graduate or get a job. They usually realize they’ll be in my place one day lol

I am still a teen, and I remember being REALLY surprised when I met a guy in his 40s (from my same country too!) playing sky, because all the people I had met irl who were his age didn't like videogames at all. Also, pure respect towards that guy who bought 150 candles. Must be amazing not having to ask to buy something in-game (and most likely getting no as an answer).
I'm 14 and I've been playing Sky since I was 10. In my personal experience I'm almost always the youngest in whatever group I'm playing with, in fact I always thought that the majority of Sky players were in their late teens to early 20s. It never crossed my mind that a player aged 20 or above would be called "old" by other Sky kids, I mean, I still think that's really young haha, and my best friends in Sky are in their early 20s. In conclusion, I (personally) think that in most situations it's silly to judge someone by their age.
Also, when I ask people's age in Sky, it's not usually in the first conversation, and if it is it's reasonably well into it. I tend to ask people's age mostly cuz I'm nosey but a bit because it helps me build a better picture of that person in my head (sorry if that doesn't make sense 😅). Normally I'm the one being wowed at because "I'm so young" and I've even been called a baby before 😂. It's pretty annoying but also quite amusing.
The worst experience I had with sharing my age in Sky was when some teenager was looking for a date and didn't back down when I said I was 32. 🤮 kids, if you only ever heed one warning about internet safety, please please please do not pursue a romantic relationship with someone who is significantly older than you! That's just asking to be abused! Anyway idk man maybe i should make up a fake wife or something
There has been a real issue with people treating Sky like a dating app. About half of the people I’ve met and known have said that they’ve encountered someone looking for a date at least once.

To be honest, as a 13 year old here who watches sir Kk's videos (hehehehe it's fun to call him/you that), I don't really mind about the ages whatsoever XD. I'm a Filipino so we mostly treat our elders with respect and I gained that knowledge on it haha. My sister who also plays Sky has a friend who is about 50 years old. Sure we were shocked and surprised at first but not in a bad way. I find pretty awesome that people who are older than me are actually playing sky. It's just sad that not all people who are under 21 thinks the same. Plus, If I am able to, I could ask for some advice from them hehehehe. All in all, I just think older people are just people but gained more wisdom than us children 😅😂. It's my first time commenting both in the sky community and in sir KK's channel so I hope I didn't think something that could be negative 🥲
I always felt ancient(28) when i started playing sky bc wherever i go i met only young people of age ranging from 9 to 21. But recently i befriended a friend of same age and He introduced me to his friends who were all adults. I have never been soooo connected 😂. Love them.
My 65 harmony (grandma in Korean because she is Korean) plays sky because I was playing it and she was very interested in it so I taught her how to play and now she is playing it on her phone ❤😊
im 13, i started playing sky when i was 11, i was a moth and had no clue how the game works, i was dying in the wasteland until another player helped me, we chatted for a bit and i found out shes 21, we continued palying almsot everyday and she helped me understand the game better, she now has graduated and has no time to play sky because fo the amount of work she has, tough she hasnt been online for months im super grateful for the friendhsip we had and i probably wouldnt be continuing playing this game, now i am actually friends with a 9 year old and helping them play the game like she did! :) im super rgateful for sky in general, its forever my comfort game and ive met so many amazing people there!
Same, I am 2 years older than you, but I also played sky when I was 11 during covid, my first friends were all in their twenties, they helped me, I wonder how they are doing, they still light me!
I always ask the age of people I talk to online because I need to know how should I interact with them. It makes sense to me because I do not talk to 30 yr olds how I talk to 10 yr olds lol.

Tbh I talk to everyone in the same way. I listen and answer with respect. Sometimes it's quite obvious they are quite young and I just make sure they respect some basic online safety rules.

Most of my Sky friends are above 20, and I don’t really mind it since age doesn’t matter when it comes to gaming. Adults can still enjoy playing video games tbh. I even have one Sky friend who is 78 years old, and I never think of her as old. She still plays Sky every day, and we get to hang out with each other for a while sometimes, and I think that’s what really matters 😄 Also, this is a very good video Sir KK! 😆

i once met a kid at the prairie peak. hes sitting on the bonfire by himself so i sat next to him and he starts to talk abt himself,like his name and how old he is. 😂 i was shock when he told me hes 11 yrs old😭 and i ask him why hes by himself and he said he is playing hide and seek with his friend and he is the seeker 😭😭the cutest skykid i ever encounter...so as an older sister i told him i would be the seeker and he can go hide along with his friends.😭 i havent seen him online since then.
I’m in my 20s and I’m constantly reminding these kids not to say their exact age or give personal info out, to the point they start calling me Mom. I don’t mind it because I think it’s funny lmfao. Looking after kids is normal for me so reminding them to drink water, brush their teeth and go to bed is a thing they know I’ll say now

I once met an 11yo kid and they asked me 'bout my age. I was 26 yo girl at that time who made a male skysona and roleplayed for a while. I answered and they were like: 😮....Can you be my daddy? I met a few people younger than me on Sky. Youngest ones are now around 17, I am 23. Met them on there in 22. They're all my little siblings and I love them lol, they call me mom as a joke sometimes. Celebrated one of them doing well on a driving test a month ago :D
I'm more bamboozled by how come they find 20s or 30s old. I mean, hello? This is Sky, the game with probably the widest age range I've seen yet. I've seen MANY elders and parents, hell, one of my semi-close friends is literally 54 this year. I've seen players as young as 7-8 years old as well. I'm honestly not so surprised at this point, but man, calling 20s old? Now that's odd.

I tend to meet a lot of different ages, mostly below 20 though. Kids, since I do not ask their age unless we're good friends just to know if they're minors and you need to be mindful of what you chat about. If they speak about how school was, you can usually gander what kind of age range they are without asking. I usually go with 'Adult woman :)' And if they -PRY- what age specifically, I inform them it is rude to push for personal information of someone if they're not comfortable sharing. And that you should be careful what personal information you give to strangers on the internet for their own safety. Many don't really take that seriously which is concerning. I do want them to know I am an adult though to explain why I can't relate to somethings and so they are aware that I am an adult to begin with. Which makes some of them open up about things or ask for advice of growing up. It can be very sweet and I'm always surprised when they go 'OH MY YOU ARE SO WISE'. Little do they know I still forget basic simple things on a daily basis. 😂😂 But! I don't mind, what does it matter if you're 11 or 41 when you're doing a WL run, CR run or going to Eden? I had no idea what to say, so I just asked how was their day, and then they asked me "how old are you?" and I asked back "how old u think I am?" and they answered "12 or 29" I just laught and said Im definitely in this between. I’ve been accused of being too old to play Sky too. And then I said “are all of the people at the assemblies, who are actually all older than me, I can guarantee you, too old to play the game too?” I’m actually glad that I spend most of my time a solo player these days. I don’t really feel comfortable meeting children OR adults these days, because I’ve unfortunately had the most negative community experiences with this game compared to any other. I still play it though because it’s still just such a magical game, as long as I keep to myself and close friends.
I’ve been playing sky since I was 11 or 12 ( I’m 17 now) and I’ve never called anyone old. I’m fine with anyone as long as they are nice. I get along with many people. No one is too old to play sky and everyone was a kid once. It’s an experience to be enjoyed by all.
I'm 23, I met a lot of people my age, usually the older ones like to talk and meet new people, the kids I met from 9 to 16 or teenagers are very friendly and like to help but don't talk much, not very interested in interaction, (At least that's how my experience was). I met a guy named Arthur who's 23, he gave me great advice and listened to a bit of my story, he was super nice to me and kind, I'll probably never see him again. When ppl ask me “how old are you?” I always say “old”. If they keep asking, you can almost tell that they are very child. lol Then I’ll say that I am a one-year-old skykid, I’m still a baby!
This whole video reminds me of a funny story I went to go play in the park and this little gremlin said that I couldn’t play in the park because I was too big. It’s a freaking playground. I'm 24 years old. I have adopted players who are still in primary school, high school, college students, and some are married with kids. I call them kids and treat them like a kid. Whenever someone asks for my kids age I wait for them to disclose it themselves. if I notice that they don't wanna share it I just say "he's/she's my cute baby. no more asking for personal informations please". I have 2 husbands in sky(no romantic feelings involved). My sky kids are the ones who found them and asked them to become their father. I accepted it because now we can have someone who will take the lead when I am Feeling lazy(they don't play that much and don't lead for cr thoT_T). My chaotic kids are looking for more father. Oh! forgot to include that I have grand kids now.
I think the internet has given people a very warped sense of what is “old”. Culture moves at such a fast pace now that it makes it seem like more time has passed than the actual reality
i find it comical that. "why are you [x] age and still playing this game" as if you have to be a certain age to be having fun 😂 or a "why are you [x] age and & playing this game? don't you have a job/family" It's crazy how they act like once you hit 18 you shouldn't have any free time outside of having a job or starting a family.
A lot of people in their 40s and older play Sky, even people in their 70s. Most of the core players in the Journey community were adults, and that core group has played Sky since the beta.
Someone asked how old I am after starting a conversation about school (implying they're in junior high/a young teen) and once I said I'd graduated and didn't miss those days, they switched to "Yeah me too" and asked my age. I told them I'm 25 and gave them a random birth month when they asked, and they said they're also 25 but born earlier in the year. They got the math wrong about the year they would've been born to be that age so I questioned their math and it got awkward. I haven't seen them much since. So far, they're the only one to have asked my age, but I'm sure there will be others.
I am almost 40 and I play games. I just like games and I started gaming in mid 90s. Now being Sky player i just dont want to even reveal my age because community acts wierd about that.

As a young player, and just being a young person in general, I would very certainly consider myself much more sensible and wiser than the vast majority of kids, especially these gen alpha critters. Like in a "I'm sUrRoUnDeD bY IdiOtS" kind of way. I know I probably am not old enough to say this yet, but, Kids these days really need to learn some respect. Also, to my fellow young players, do not give out personal info! I would think that would be common sense, but I was on a call with my friend whildt playing with her and an online friend, she said basically, "Me and sandpit (my nickname) have been friends since second grade!" then my online friend says, " I am assuming that is a very long time" then my friend starts typing, and I know what she is about to say, and I have to tell her on call, do not tell people online your age, and as I thought she was indeed trying to say something along the lines of "yes, we are in x grade" I have also had other kids just spilling out personal info and had to give them a talk about internet safety. Also, to all of you "old" people, you guys are getting to the fun part of life where you have money and freedom to do whatever the heck you want. Go play your sky game as much as you want.

Bruh, I'm 27 and have several child friends in Sky, they're really sweet and no one said anything like that, where do you even find such rude people? And yeah, I think question about age IS a prrtty good conversation starter, I've met a lot of people age similar to mine and we found topics we could discuss pretty fast, exactly because of it. That is also good because you could immediately know if it's appropriate to talk some things about life (i mean, it's a lot easier to talk in general if you know in advance that other person is not a kid/minor)
That's why I solo play . I rather play in peace without getting annoyed at feeling old 😂 and I'm fully aware that most people that play this game are mostly under aged. I don't think there should be an age restriction at games, everyone should enjoy a game wathever the age is. I don't think is weird to ask the age at the beginning of conversation because is better to know it earlier than later, especially for the adults.
I'm 25 and most people I know are around 15-18 so I was playing sky and a couple of my friends started talking about how older I was lol. I started telling them that when they came of age they would feel like the years were passing by in the blink of an eye and they literally started crying. I just told them that the same thing was going to happen to them as to me, it was quite funny. 😂 It's sad to see how some people distance themselves from you just because they say you're several years older. 🤦🏻♀️
When asked my age or city, I just pretend I didn’t hear the question. Lol. Most people get the point and don’t bother to ask again. I blocked a person who claimed to be 9yo… one, because they keep saying it and no one had asked them. I think they were looking for a reaction and that is just weird. Or maybe they were an adult pretending to be young for creepy reasons and that is super weird!! But I am an adult and didn’t feel right playing with someone claiming to be a very young kid, so I blocked them. Oh well.
I have a lot of adult friends in sky and there is one Japanese woman I think she is 30-35 as I remember (she doesn't mind I'm telling people about her age!)and she playing everyday! Playing with 4 of her sky account! Yep she has 4 sky accounts...and she is online everyday! She is even playing for 3-4 hours straight...I don't think how...but as long as she enjoys the game it's fine I guess

I had a player in his 30s ask me my age. When i told him that I was 17, he said how I was "wise" for my age, mature and probably good at academics. It felt soo weird. idk maybe i am looking into it too much.
I've had so many friends in sky that has work, going to the university while maintaining their schedule in candle running, I never heard anyone saying too old, the game literally has some dark lore to it, how can a 5 year old understand it💀

I'm an older teen, and I feel like we (teens) tend to assume the people we meet on Sky are around our own age. It contributes to the problem this video highlights for sure 😅😅 I actually refuse to initiate talks about age in Sky because I've seen how weird some people get about it, so I'm surprised so many kids are really starting with that. If you really need a conversation starter, nationality is always a much cooler one since it gives you more opportunity to talk about what that place is like. Its nice since Sky has a pretty good translation system too (well, depending on the languages) so you can really meet a lot of people. Off the top of my head I have Malaysia, Spain, Japan, USA, China, Phillipines, and lots more that i cant remember or don't know in my constellation. Its amazing.
I've also met some people older than me who I hang out with a lot!! I've met a mom in her twenties who was a moth, and I became a guide to her and showed her a lot of the game mechanisms. Honestly, age doesn't matter in Sky, and it's kinda cool. As much as some people prioritize age regardless, we can all just be legitimate without needing age as a factor (because as much as kids like to rag on adults for being old, kids are treated as "less than" in a lot of spaces too.)
All of my close friends (irl or in Sky) tend to be a few years older than me because I get along better with them. I've never called them old, and usually just get jealous that I'm not closer to their age even though I'm also an adult 😂

I'm the same age as the person who wrote the very first post haha, I tend to ask people in game what their age is because for one I ain't baby siting no body kid, regardless if they new to the game or not. When I first started playing, I kept meeting so many kids 😭 so much drama man...The age gap is just too much for me because we are in different places in life. I play strictly with people close, and around my age to prevent any awkwardness from each other. 🫶🏼

I'm 41, been playing Sky since 2020. I met one of my good friends on there when they were 16, we started playing every day, they got me to do voice chat for the first time lol, now they've gone away to college! I feel like I got to watch them grow up a little. They're super cool and kind to me as well and as an adult with no kids, it's been an honor to be able to be some small part of a young person's life and make a positive impact on them in some way. All that has made any time a child on there calls me old worth it :)
I’m 41 as well, no kids, and can really relate to what you are saying. Before Sky, I never would have imagined that some of my best friends in game would be as young as 16-20. And actually, I initially thought I would play Sky with the intention not to form any friendships at all, content to explore and enjoy the world alone. The wisdom taught in such friendships goes both ways, I’m an ear for them, and indirectly, they have really helped me to accept and be more proud of my age in a world where society puts a lot of pressure on older people to look young, and to have achieved a certain amount of life landmark things by a certain time. Friendships with a large age gap have not been encouraged or looked upon fondly in society (understandably), but I do believe and have found there is something precious in them which is world-healing. Uniting perspectives, empathy, compassion, taking our differences into our hands to create a better future for our planet and global community, is possible starting with us. Kindness and respect creating a beautiful ripple effect in contrast to turbulent times.

i recently met a player who had 2 stars and dying under broken bridge. I rushed and helped and collected their wings. they thanked me. I took them to baker in village so we could chat and i taught them a lot of things. eventually we unlocked free chat and went on CRs together. but they didn't know how to receive candle after collecting all the wax (by clicking on top left the jiggling candle icon). I got really frustrated explaining 'do you see a red arrow on candle click on it' still didn't get it and i blurted out 'how old are you' and they responded 'i think I'm older than you'. I took that as a counter insult. I said 'you are a troll I'm blocking you' (because who wouldn't be able to notice wax filling their candle, so i thought they are trolling) they said 'im so sad' 'im not a troll'. we eventually talked and found that she is a 60 yr old Japanese grandma. and she said 'i love sky. i met you. I'm so happy.' i then felt very bad for getting mad at them because they couldn't figure a basic game mechanic. but then I understood. now we play together daily and she's so cute with her humor and I just feel bad for making her play the game alone, i want to hold her hand and fly them with me and do candleruns. like looking after them and explaining them things.
i sometimes get bad internet and they disappear. then they would type on discord 'i fell' (because I was holding their hand and they weren't controlling and then i disappear from their game they fell) I again felt so bad 😭 like oh poor grandma they were relying on me and they innocently said 'i fell'. we talk a lot now and have so much fun. and they keep praising me all the time haha. now I look forward to do my CRs only with them now playing solo feels of no point (I used to play solo all the time before I met them).
update after few months: that player turns out very degraded. I never play with them now 👍🏻

lol .. I am the mother of a teenage daughter. I have a lot of young ones around but I appreciate the random moms I met on Sky. Sky is better once you find your group of adult friends. One of my friends is an ICU nurse and popping up to talk about his shift or something familiar - I worked as a medical scientist myself :D .. we are not only old, but wise, smart and fun! Don't you think life is better knowing that people in high professions are having fun too? I don't know but I think it is cool :D . I don't know why people around Sky think it is for children only. It can be for everyone. :)

I am still a teen, and I remember being REALLY surprised when I met a guy in his 40s (from my same country too!) playing sky, because all the people I had met irl who were his age didn't like videogames at all. Also, pure respect towards that guy who bought 150 candles. Must be amazing not having to ask to buy something in-game (and most likely getting no as an answer).
I'm 14 and I've been playing Sky since I was 10. In my personal experience I'm almost always the youngest in whatever group I'm playing with, in fact I always thought that the majority of Sky players were in their late teens to early 20s. It never crossed my mind that a player aged 20 or above would be called "old" by other Sky kids, I mean, I still think that's really young haha, and my best friends in Sky are in their early 20s. In conclusion, I (personally) think that in most situations it's silly to judge someone by their age.
Also, when I ask people's age in Sky, it's not usually in the first conversation, and if it is it's reasonably well into it. I tend to ask people's age mostly cuz I'm nosey but a bit because it helps me build a better picture of that person in my head (sorry if that doesn't make sense 😅). Normally I'm the one being wowed at because "I'm so young" and I've even been called a baby before 😂. It's pretty annoying but also quite amusing.

To be honest, as a 13 year old here who watches sir Kk's videos (hehehehe it's fun to call him/you that), I don't really mind about the ages whatsoever XD. I'm a Filipino so we mostly treat our elders with respect and I gained that knowledge on it haha. My sister who also plays Sky has a friend who is about 50 years old. Sure we were shocked and surprised at first but not in a bad way. I find pretty awesome that people who are older than me are actually playing sky. It's just sad that not all people who are under 21 thinks the same. Plus, If I am able to, I could ask for some advice from them hehehehe. All in all, I just think older people are just people but gained more wisdom than us children 😅😂.

im 13, i started playing sky when i was 11, i was a moth and had no clue how the game works, i was dying in the wasteland until another player helped me, we chatted for a bit and i found out shes 21, we continued palying almsot everyday and she helped me understand the game better, she now has graduated and has no time to play sky because fo the amount of work she has, tough she hasnt been online for months im super grateful for the friendhsip we had and i probably wouldnt be continuing playing this game, now i am actually friends with a 9 year old and helping them play the game like she did! :) im super rgateful for sky in general, its forever my comfort game and ive met so many amazing people there!

Tbh I talk to everyone in the same way. I listen and answer with respect. Sometimes it's quite obvious they are quite young and I just make sure they respect some basic online safety rules.

Most of my Sky friends are above 20, and I don’t really mind it since age doesn’t matter when it comes to gaming. Adults can still enjoy playing video games tbh. I even have one Sky friend who is 78 years old, and I never think of her as old. She still plays Sky every day, and we get to hang out with each other for a while sometimes, and I think that’s what really matters 😄

I've seen MANY elders and parents, hell, one of my semi-close friends is literally 54 this year. I've seen players as young as 7-8 years old as well. I tend to meet a lot of different ages, mostly below 20 though. Kids, since I do not ask their age unless we're good friends just to know if they're minors and you need to be mindful of what you chat about. If they speak about how school was, you can usually gander what kind of age range they are without asking. I usually go with 'Adult woman :)' And if they -PRY- what age specifically, I inform them it is rude to push for personal information of someone if they're not comfortable sharing. And that you should be careful what personal information you give to strangers on the internet for their own safety. Many don't really take that seriously which is concerning. I do want them to know I am an adult though to explain why I can't relate to somethings and so they are aware that I am an adult to begin with. Which makes some of them open up about things or ask for advice of growing up. It can be very sweet and I'm always surprised when they go 'OH MY YOU ARE SO WISE'. Little do they know I still forget basic simple things on a daily basis. 😂😂

I’m actually glad that I spend most of my time a solo player these days. I don’t really feel comfortable meeting children OR adults these days, because I’ve unfortunately had the most negative community experiences with this game compared to any other. I still play it though because it’s still just such a magical game, as long as I keep to myself and close friends.
I’ve been playing sky since I was 11 or 12 ( I’m 17 now) and I’ve never called anyone old. I’m fine with anyone as long as they are nice. I get along with many people. No one is too old to play sky and everyone was a kid once. It’s an experience to be enjoyed by all.

Whenever someone asks for my kids age I wait for them to disclose it themselves.

Someone asked how old I am after starting a conversation about school (implying they're in junior high/a young teen) and once I said I'd graduated and didn't miss those days, they switched to "Yeah me too" and asked my age. I told them I'm 25 and gave them a random birth month when they asked, and they said they're also 25 but born earlier in the year. They got the math wrong about the year they would've been born to be that age so I questioned their math and it got awkward. I haven't seen them much since. So far, they're the only one to have asked my age, but I'm sure there will be others.

As a young player, and just being a young person in general, I would very certainly consider myself much more sensible and wiser than the vast majority of kids, especially these gen alpha critters. Like in a "I'm sUrRoUnDeD bY IdiOtS" kind of way. I know I probably am not old enough to say this yet, but, Kids these days really need to learn some respect. Also, to my fellow young players, do not give out personal info! I would think that would be common sense, but I was on a call with my friend whildt playing with her and an online friend, she said basically, "Me and sandpit (my nickname) have been friends since second grade!" then my online friend says, " I am assuming that is a very long time" then my friend starts typing, and I know what she is about to say, and I have to tell her on call, do not tell people online your age, and as I thought she was indeed trying to say something along the lines of "yes, we are in x grade" I have also had other kids just spilling out personal info and had to give them a talk about internet safety. Also, to all of you "old" people, you guys are getting to the fun part of life where you have money and freedom to do whatever the heck you want. Go play your sky game as much as you want.
OMG, I love all the comments below!! I’m 28 and this is my first time playing sky (around 4-5 days)... So, to be honest, it's a little confusing for me 😔 I really want to meet someone like me and don't feel hm... too old 😅

I have a hard time making friends on Sky, but I have a couple little friends that always make sure to hug me when they see me. I'm only 22, but I don't mind being seen as a mom friend. I think it's really sweet :3
I was asked my age only twice and both times I was revered as big bro, haha! I´d say asking for one´s age is definitely less intrusive than asking for one´s gender, but well, swings and roundabouts. ⚖

It's hard to make friends on sky because it's hard to find other players and I feel like a creep running into younger players like please don't call me mom 😅 I'm not your mom.
Bruh, I'm 27 and have several child friends in Sky, they're really sweet and no one said anything like that, where do you even find such rude people?
And yeah, I think question about age IS a prrtty good conversation starter, I've met a lot of people age similar to mine and we found topics we could discuss pretty fast, exactly because of it.
That is also good because you could immediately know if it's appropriate to talk some things about life (i mean, it's a lot easier to talk in general if you know in advance that other person is not a kid/minor)
That's why I solo play . I rather play in peace without getting annoyed at feeling old 😂 and I'm fully aware that most people that play this game are mostly under aged.
I don't think there should be an age restriction at games, everyone should enjoy a game wathever the age is.
I don't think is weird to ask the age at the beginning of conversation because is better to know it earlier than later, especially for the adults.
I'm 25 and most people I know are around 15-18 so I was playing sky and a couple of my friends started talking about how older I was lol. I started telling them that when they came of age they would feel like the years were passing by in the blink of an eye and they literally started crying. I just told them that the same thing was going to happen to them as to me, it was quite funny. 😂 It's sad to see how some people distance themselves from you just because they say you're several years older. 🤦🏻♀️
When asked my age or city, I just pretend I didn’t hear the question. Lol. Most people get the point and don’t bother to ask again.
I blocked a person who claimed to be 9yo… one, because they keep saying it and no one had asked them. I think they were looking for a reaction and that is just weird. Or maybe they were an adult pretending to be young for creepy reasons and that is super weird!!
But I am an adult and didn’t feel right playing with someone claiming to be a very young kid, so I blocked them. Oh well.
I have a lot of adult friends in sky and there is one Japanese woman I think she is 30-35 as I remember (she doesn't mind I'm telling people about her age!)and she playing everyday! Playing with 4 of her sky account! Yep she has 4 sky accounts...and she is online everyday! She is even playing for 3-4 hours straight...I don't think how...but as long as she enjoys the game it's fine I guess
I'm glad I discovered this game when I was 20 because as a teen I wouldn't have any money for the season passes

40 years old next year... been playing sky for 3 years. I've been playing video games since gen 1, and Sky is still the most beautiful game I've ever played. I fly every day. Gamers come in all ages! 🎮🕹

First time I played Sky, I was blown away by how beautiful everything looked. And it just kept getting prettier from there
I had a player in his 30s ask me my age. When i told him that I was 17, he said how I was "wise" for my age, mature and probably good at academics. It felt soo weird. idk maybe i am looking into it too much.

I've had so many friends in sky that has work, going to the university while maintaining their schedule in candle running, I never heard anyone saying too old, the game literally has some dark lore to it, how can a 5 year old understand it💀

I... Met someone who's in his 40s (I'm 19) thought he was joking at first. Turns out he just plays with his daughter, who got him into the game. Super wholesome, probably not going to meet someone older than that

I'm an older teen, and I feel like we (teens) tend to assume the people we meet on Sky are around our own age. It contributes to the problem this video highlights for sure 😅😅
I actually refuse to initiate talks about age in Sky because I've seen how weird some people get about it, so I'm surprised so many kids are really starting with that. If you really need a conversation starter, nationality is always a much cooler one since it gives you more opportunity to talk about what that place is like. Its nice since Sky has a pretty good translation system too (well, depending on the languages) so you can really meet a lot of people. Off the top of my head I have Malaysia, Spain, Japan, USA, China, Phillipines, and lots more that i cant remember or don't know in my constellation. Its amazing.
I've also met some people older than me who I hang out with a lot!! I've met a mom in her twenties who was a moth, and I became a guide to her and showed her a lot of the game mechanisms. Honestly, age doesn't matter in Sky, and it's kinda cool. As much as some people prioritize age regardless, we can all just be legitimate without needing age as a factor (because as much as kids like to rag on adults for being old, kids are treated as "less than" in a lot of spaces too.)
All of my close friends (irl or in Sky) tend to be a few years older than me because I get along better with them. I've never called them old, and usually just get jealous that I'm not closer to their age even though I'm also an adult 😂
