I went in eden recently, and lead a moth.... I didn't really know whats up with the update.... 😭😭😭😭 Imagine being a moth and having THIS update. The poor babies
I can't lie my fellow skykids, few things hurt my trust like getting pegged by a rock while taking cover behind a larger rock that should be blocking it.
it's so frustrating bc crawling was slow but steady, I mean you were incredibly slow but still MOVING. after the update yes you can run which is quicker, but you keep falling. it got to a point where i was just stuck in the same place for minutes on end without being able to move. also crawling was so tragically beautiful and dramatic, like it actually felt as if you were dying with the light being drained outta you, but now it's not dramatic it's just annoying and frustrating 😭
I actually loved the crawling. Although, based on my experience you actually do still crawl even after the update when your light gets really low and you actually are about to die, so there's that with regards to the tragedy of it. But I still liked it better when you crawled the entire way. At least you still crawl in the Wasteland..? :')
FRIENDLY REMINDER jumping makes you fall over more often and lose more wl, it should be easy to get all statues from eden with 120-150 wl. But what would i know, i haven't been to eden ONCE in like 12+ months
also tgc made the game "less bright so players dont hurt their eyes" BUT the fact that they made less bright only static textures.... and moving ones like these red rocks or player or wls are now even brighter..... it hurts not only my eyes but my heart too
When I went, I literally could not move, especially at 20-10 stars left. As soon as I went out I got knocked down, and when I got back up I was immediately knocked down again, on repeat. Even losing stars while on the ground.
I really think they should add a cooldown for being knocked down. I had the same problem, doesn't seems very fair to not be able to move just because those damn rocks kick you nonstop. How am I even supposed to go then
TGC needs to fix this ASAP 😤 It was never this hard before. Sure the beginning part is a little easier but the end part is worse then before...glad to see I'm not the only one who realized this 😒
This might be intentional. Someone was saying the beta testers complained about this too and they didnt change anything. So its probably an f-you to the players from complaining about crawling.
TGC doesn't listen to the beta players in general anymore. That's why the game ends up riddled with bugs to a point of being near unplayable every update.
If you just walk, not jump, through that last part, you can collect all of the remaining statues at 130 wings. I don’t even bother to light the shrine at the cave
They should revert this update not only because of the negative UI changes, not only because of them stealing ascended candles and WL from us, but also because of eden and them forcing all TS to go to the village when it should just be set to your selected home realm

Me with my friend didn't even know what to do there😭 We thought the rock rain gonna stop after some time, but no. We staying behind the wall a lot, we even made bonfire and sitting there, thinking about what we should do. (I made it to the end, but with the cost of my friend's life :')
That sand dune has to be the worst part of the update I remember reaching there with 90 up my sleeve only to leave with 20 but besides that am I the only one who found the earlier parts harder as well? Especially in the very beginnig you used to be able to pretty much walk around without a care and now you immediately get hit. As a Psycho eden runner who has been running eden for fun for so long this is worse than how I felt when crawling mecha was introduced
I think i heard shards do a lot more damage now but rocks give a lot more cover. Its not walking without care, its just that we were able to withstand a few hits and not getting extinguished by them. Now if i move out without checking timing and a rock hits me im suddenly bald 😂
I usually run eden with anywhere from 75-100 wl, but now that means my run is basically over once i get to that rock. My candle count went from 11 to 9
It seems to me that most of the bugs and updates in the game will not be fixed for the next month. No compensation will be enough for my monthly suffering at Eden 😓
Worst thing happened in this update I stand and get hit again stand again hit and again, again. Like bro i think this update gives chance to run I freaking can't move
The farther you go, the worse the visibility gets, at least for me. Why did they have to make the rock hits more prominent and aggressive 😭 I want pre-Shattering Eden back, where I didn’t have to worry about losing 5 WLs per second before I got to the frickin sand dune
ya they fixed it now at least. i went with 171 light and an elder mask and ended up with 31 light at the last statue. one trick that will help is when you get knocked over, honk and you will instantly stand up. saves you the painfully slow standing animation and a lot of time. one word of caution, even though they fixed the gatling gun rock rain at the end part, they shortened the overall interval inbetween rock rain for the whole of the map now. so just be careful as the timing you are use to is now shortened and you will take some major damage early when you're not expecting it.
Its in known issues,, we get stun locked at the end. I was so mad i lost 40 wl at the second to last cuz it kept me locked in there until i got down to crawling. The worst thing is that the thing keeping me locked wasnt even the rocks but the wind 💀 i barely made it with 1 wl to the last one 😂😂
I was really frustrated after the update. Now I don't look forward to eden. It is just a pain. The rocks knock you down. You lay on the grind. I had like 3-4 times in a raw, that I could not move. It is just frustrating. Hope they fix it. Or we need to learn new tricks how to award getting hit. Dono
I liked the new Eden ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Eden himself tells you not to do it alone, and the fact that you don't die instantly is very good. Eden is still one of Sky's areas, and in the game the important thing is to explore!
This comment sounds nice when you're a new player. But if you're older player and just dont want to hassle for time but need AC this is frustrating and annoying at most.
The worst is when you reach the sand dune. Since you go up + right toward the statue and the meteor shower comes from that direction 😢. It mean's that you have to go straight toward the meteors while standing wich makes our hitbox larger so we get stuck until we reach we will get hit multiple times and be stuck there until we reach 10 wl and start crawling to advance😢

For those who want specific details: the one at the very end of Hidden Forest (in the peaceful area with a winged light on a stump), the circle event was the one where you burn darkness to get the pieces (and I suffered from shard crabs), we had three players total from start to finish, and the area in the crystal had the huuuuuge dark creature things. Got 2.5 ascended candles, though, which seemed less than usual for that shard. Still, it was possible. Not sure if which shard it is or the number of players makes a difference.
Eden is worse, and the Red Shards are still bugged for some users (me included) I'm lucky I don't spend those candles on anything besides wing buffs, bc I'm not getting many at all
Kinda worried that everyone is saying its harder, but- I went to eden in this update and I did get to the last statue 😅 maybe I just like challenges or im very cautious.. tbh I never bothered with neither the crawling and now walking mechanic 🤔

Honestly...i'm not frustrated. Making Edén easier was gonna be weird since you have to sacrifice your life for them and moving around like nothing din't make it hard and intense. Sure this one is harder than before, but atleast your not just walking around.

The crawling was much better. It was slow, but you could still make it to the last statue with WL to spare as long as you were careful in the sheltered areas and went in with at least 150 WL. I couldn't even make it NEAR the last statue last time I went, and I went in with 203 WL and a fully charged elder mask.

I actually love seeing people getting to see how helpful the crawling mechanic was. Might take longer but it actually alowed you to get to the last statues. Yall who have been complaining deserve it 😂

When you pass the last shrine they doubled the rock rain. So instead of crawling slowly, you actually get stun locked and lose WAAAAAAY more wings. As a demonstration i passed the very last statue by about 10 seconds with 165 wings and an elder mask. After the update i BARELY made it to the second last statue with 170 wings and an elder mask. Even with 250 wings you probably wouldnt be able to make it to the last statue.
As someone with not 250, but still well over 200 wings, I can assure that I was not able to make it anywhere near the last statue. Even with an elder mask and not having gotten hit by any shards before reaching that area.

I think they shortened the intervals for the rock rain. Two and possibly most important. You jave to honk to get up after you get knocked down. It cancels the standing animation so you stand instantly. I was able to get to the last statue today with 31 wings left and i started with 171 and an elder mask. Which means you can probably do that with 140 wings. You might actually end up with too.many wings now 🤣🤣 like you'll get to the last statue with 60+ wings and have to rund around triying to die.

Before it was just annoying after I was crawling I only got like 3 more statues because I was so slow and was pushed back
Cause tgc makes stupid changes based around made-up problems that are perpetuated by players who dont want to put the work in.

The crawling was never an issue for me. I it was the falling that was a pain.

the ts were already in aviary instead of the selected home before that. I like that i see all the home space candles now

The only good things Shattering added were dark creature cosmetics and a way to get AC without going to this hellscape. :')
I went on hiatus for at least 3 years. 150 winged lights and i couldn't get all the statues like usual when i came back

Someone suggested honking as you fall will make you stand right up. Apparently some old trick from times before. I havent tried it yet.

I'm a new player and I loved the old eden, I wish they didnt have to change it because of a complaint that people take too long to die :/
people werent complaining that they took to long to die, people were complaining that they would start crawling whenever getting hit by rocks

Don't forget that tgc broke red shard as well. You just have no choice in getting ascendant candles.👍🏻
