Idk If it was mentioned in the video, if so then my comment is useless but according to one of the key members of the Narzissenkreuz Ordo. (it was around the institute) The descenders are classified as one not only because they aren't from Teyvat according to the Fatui but, later on according to one of the members, the most important factor is that their will is strong enough to change the entire fate of the world. Meaning that there could've been more people from other worlds but weren't classified as descenders as their will wasn't strong enough
Really cool theory, but I have 2 nitpicks: 1. What if the player chose Lumine as the main character? Mihoyo has already confirmed that BOTH Travelers are canon. 2. The place where you meet Sustainer is NOT YET CONFIRMED to be Celestia. It’s most likely the place we see when we open the game before coming to Teyvat.
What if Dainslief is the traveller (Aether), he looks like the same to me but older and was my first reaction when I saw him. What if they are the travellers siblings? The battle pass also tell tale of two royal heir, could be the twins and it repeats each patch. Then both the twins will have Khendrianh origin.
In greek mytho, Aether is the primordial god of light , Lumine is a stand in for Hemera the primordial god of daylight (Aether's real twin sister in greek mytho). Here's Greek mytho in a nutshell Chaos make egg egg born Phanes ( primordial god of creation/ the Primordial one in Genshin) Phanes make everything including other primordial gods, Phanes and the other primordial gods are siblings (the 4 other shade in Genshin) Tartarus Primordial god of the under world ( Genshin god of Time . According to the lore Istaroth is the only one out of all the primordial to stay behind in Teyvat , considering that the Archons are named after real demons Tartarus fits the best here) Gaia Primordial god of the earth ( Genshin god of Life . Earth nurture life pretty self-explanatory) Nyx Primordial god of the night (Genshin god of Space . Night sky and space pretty easy to understand, also she is Aether and Hemera's mom) Erebus Primordial god of darkness ( Genshin god of Death, darkness and death also pretty easy to understand. He is also Aether and Hemera's dad) Anyways Nyx and Erebus did the deed and the twins Aether and Hemera was born . Aether create the heavens ( In Genshin Phanes was the one who created the heavens) Hemera left him to join their mother Nyx , to help create the cycle of night and day and Aether can't do anything about it (Similar to how Lumine join the abyss , basically tell Aether to f*** off when they finally meet again , leave and there's nothing Aether can do about it.) Btw according to Aether's character story in Genshin ( not sure if Lumine have this in her character story) Aether basically tell us that Lumine is his only family member left " The god took your only kin away" Kin - one's family or relations This means that the Primordial one /Phanes and the 4 shades are most likely dead...so who the heck is running Celestia? According to the lore Teyvat have 60.000 years worth of history, around 40.000 years ago there was a war, a war between the first and the second decender , The Primordial one/ Phanes and The Second who come. The victor of this war is still unknown, but after the war many civilizations was being destroyed by Celestia. Also Khaenriah is known as "the nation of darkness" , Erebus is The Primordial god of darkness, just thought I should mention it.
The more I think about it, the more I think it MUST be true that Teyvat is in a giant samsara because narratively there's no reason to introduce the concept of samsara unless it has larger relevance. It _could_ have been possible that it was a device only meant to be used in Sumeru and never again, but I think that possibility is shot down now that we have Rene(?)'s notes in Fontaine. In the notes, he theorizes we're about halfway through the fourth samsara. Interestingly, one of the past samsaras is called the "Natlantean" cycle, so we may get more info confirming Teyvat's samsaras in the next region!
@@gealachriamh42 Sounds really dank, but i like the idea of all the descenders being the twins, or at least that the twins descended multiple times, with their roles changing each cycle. I also like that this idea could bring, loops where the twins repeatedly try to fix the mistakes caused by previous cycles, but due to working against themselves, are unable to simply remove/replace the "new" them every cycle, as they maybe need them to be "pure" in order to make the decisions they needed to fix the mistakes.
The only thing about this i don't understand is if this would be true, why are there two Lumines? If the Abyss Lumine becomes the Sustainer, then where does the other Lumine come from to loop the cycle? Also, the game has to make sense with either sibling on either side. If you have Abyss Aether, then he can't turn into the Sustainer now can he.
If its a loot the other one is herself, once you go back to the starting point, that actualy isnt hard, but it just cant be, game progress, to many things happen for it to be simply a loop but more impotantly iy ==t would be so dumb that because they have a vaguely similar look they are the same, its just the game has poor graphism and everyone got the save face anyway in this game so 2 girl blondish hair and oh look they are the same person... that would be a dumb plot for real
While the theory is very interesting and yeah the title screen could be the end game, I don't think it works because we see evidence of Sustainer's work already during our journey. The first example that comes to mind right now is the cube rocks found in the Chasm. So, how would it work, if Lumine is not yet the Sustainer by then? It would be so mind blowing otherwise
It’s because the LOOP.. it has to START somewhere.. 😂 aka first loop was as is.. end of the first loop start of 2nd loop it was already now being manipulated.. imagine ur life irl.. all seem normal .. u gain powers at the end of ur life to control all events.. when ur life restarts ur again thinking all is normal but UR FIRST CYCLE YOU with powers has effects on the u in 2nd cycle 3rd cycle etc.. and etc cycle thatbFIRST u is constantly trying to try different things to fix a problem.. it fails they retry In the next cycle..
Eh there's plenty of examples of this being done in fiction. Most notable examples I can think of being Prisoner of Azkaban (obviously HP series) and the CW's The Flash. HP saving his past self due to getting the idea of it after his future self saving him or CW's The Flash the speeding storm that enveloped Barry's Home being Barry from the future stopping R. Flash from killing himself as a child and letting his mother die which sets in motion him becoming the Flash. Both instances of a time loop repeating and having a future self interacting with their past self. Plus the nifty part of all this is that due to the future self being in the present/past has no real limitations of how it's timeframe can work. Not that I agree with the theory at all but food for thought
@@Zam-RL talking about the end and the start being connected I can't help but to think the famous Khanryah destruction scene, with the red cubes and all, is about the end of the game. And the structures do resemble a bit of Fontaine, as Celestia itself do too. Maybe there is something along this line of thought.
I think this is going a bit far, what I personally think is that the 1st cutscene shows the moment when we were trying to leave tevat, to me that place looks like the edge of the world where you have portals or entrances to the outside, for the shape of tyvat isn't a whole planet, it's a hemisphere in a giant ocean, that hemisphere is inside a bubble, hence the false sky inside.
What would that Theory mean for people like me that play as Lumine. We will become the sustainer? Kinda wouldn’t make much sense from that angle. But hey we already know that Aether is more like the main lore line so it still could be possible.
What if the Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles actually killed the other sibling from the very beginning of the story (The trapped sibling was not actually trapped rather killed) and then our character who is currently journeying across Teyvat is actually just us reliving the time loop that we created with the help of Istaroth. And then the reason why the supposedly dead sibling is in the abyss is that they are actually the manifestation of the regrets that we failed to save them. The reason why we are journeying (why the sibling urges us to finish the journey to find out the truth) is to find a way to finally save our sibling. As the death of our sibling brought upon the manifestation of the abyss, hence why they are the princess of the abyss. One big reason why Istaroth could've helped us was to prevent the rise and creation of abyss. Paimon could be an avatar created by Istaroth to help us find a way to change what happened I the past, Paimon could be the God of Time's help for us. By ensuring that we continue our journey on a specific pre-planned path - a path that was created every time the loop resets, each one different from the other.
I had almost exactly the same theory back around when Inazuma was released, but I don't think it's gonna Lumine that becomes the Sustainer, because the story of Lumine and Aether needs to be symmetrical/parallel. In my theory, the story of Lumine and Aether is a similar to the loop that happens in "Dark", a Netflix series. And I think the Fatui will use all the gnoses to turn Paimon back into the Sustainer, and that she's the 3rd Descender at the same time.

Thats what hes sayign shes trying to defeat the principles but becomes the sustainer of heavenly principles corupted in the process and is trapped in that cycle, we have really only ever heard to the heavenly principles mentioned in game now the sustainer specifically bot to mention the heavens are quite during our whole journey, i don't belive it to be true but is kinda interesting!
Thought Sustainer was Asmodae, one of the 4 shades. And the place where the twins met her was probably at the "Star Railway Station." The twins are there as if waiting for their ride to leave the world. The whole world of Teyvat is in a samsara cycle, that's why Tsaritsa / Fatui harbingers are collecting gnoses to trigger ragnarok to break the cycle. just my take: 1st Descender - Primordial One 2nd Descender - Nibelung (Dragon King - fled Teyvat, then descended after acquiring power of darkness) 3rd Descender - One of the witches of Hexenzirkel (deceased) 4th Descender - Traveler
I think Irumen the original king of Khaenri'ah is the 3rd and I dont think the 2nd has anything to do with the dragons, that would have been mentioned in before sun and moon when the dragons and the second were introduced. The Enkanomiyans were very familiar with dragons that should not have escaped them if it was the dragon king that caused the disaster that sunk them plus every mention of the second who came is played up as a mystery from a story telling perspective if its the dragons again then why set it up that way unless the second is different enough for it to be a worthy payoff.

@@char-79 Yes I'm saying the arrival of the second who came and the war that followed are what caused Enkanomiya to sink. Since they were well aware the dragons and before sun and moon introduces the sovereigns why would they not say the dragon king or the return of the dragon king and instead say "the second who came" its not like they wouldnt know the context since the previous portion of the book is outlining the context. I just dont think the second who came refers to the dragon king.
wait so the sustainer is lumine no matter who you choose because fate cannot be changed, but the way fate comes to be can be - like nicole said, whether its a bird or a cat that knocks down a vase, its still a broken vase whether aether and lumine are chosen/captured by the sustainer, lumine is still going to be the sustainer thew sustainer is the broken vase so when we choose lumine and aether gets captured, she starts the journey looking for her brother she ends up becoming sustainer whether we choose aether as our traveler, lumine was the traveler at some point in the past which then she captures herself and makes aether the traveler so it doesnt matter who we chose, because lumine was the first that traveled the land in the first place
If this theory is true, then perhaps if you choose lumine, she will become the sustainer before your very eyes. If you choose aether, you're on the other half of the loop and watch your sister become the sustainer.
I always thought the themes in all the archon quests apply to the end story of the traveler. To be free they sign a contract, "death" of a twin as a result, partially losing our memories of them, striping themsleves of their powers into a humanity and divinity, to stop the wars or maybe start one, all that out of love for the sibling. The thing focalors has said also might hint at the main story where she says to fool the heavenly principles, you must fool yourselves. Also its got me wondering, since the sibling we play as has no powers at the start, what if the gnosis was made from us. Seeing as though we can resonate with every element its abit odd that we dont have our original "divinty".
The video is very good, but we must remember that this only works to the "canonic" version of the game. Because, if we choose Lumine as our traveler, how was that suppose to work? Congratz for the video hypothesis, but I still think that the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles is another person.

I think paimon is sustainer or very close. Like Rukhadevata regressed in power and changed to childlike form. Also since paimon is talking slot and traveller is not, he know much more than we do. Silent protagonist.

Lumine hair design kinda similar to Paimon.. if we talk about Descender(s), why no one talks about Aloy? if Lumine is corrupted, will Traveler use his purifying power (like we see in Monstadt where he purify Dvalin's tear)?.. i dont know.. im going crazy.. Venti, Zhongli and Dainsleif knew too much; how they will play their role later in the future..
Maybe but unfortunately I don’t know, if it’s a hint at something bigger then that’s cool but I thought it was just meant to be clever wording. History of the future = someone wrote the future in past history. It would be cooler if it hints to history being the same as the future though
Well its a good theory but its confirmed by nahida that they are two different people. Third descender should be dead as stated by skirk. Considering that the abyss twin has been in teyvat only for 500 years, she can't be the third descender since she must have been present and must have died before the archon war. And its not like the twins don't have any prior memories of each other in other worlds before coming to teyvat.
a big thing to debunk the lumine is heavenly principles theory is that the abyss twin is not a descender. After 4.2 in a world quest you will find information that not everyone who comes from outside of teyvat is a descender, and irminsul confirmed that the abyss twin is not one. Also, the teyvat is a big samsara is more or less confirmed as it's a thing that's always a motif for hoyoverse games. From information in game available right now, A descender is someone who meets certain conditions, and not necessarily someone who came from outside the world

How can u prove this theory right, if ur playing with lumine instead of aether? :/ what ever u choose there won't be a male sustainer. It's always female. If that's the case then the cutseen was supposed to have a male and a female sustainer.
I'll admit its an interesting theory but thats all it is cause if we choose lumine that would mean our abyss sibling will be aether which makes this whole theory meaningless

After all you still would bind people longer when they could work on other things by then. Art like the recent brithday arts always have two Version.
Your theory somehow makes sense and migjt be possible. Remember the time where Ei said she return from inazuma 500 years ago and suddenly the Tree sprouts by its own ( a tree near yae miko shine) planted by the partner of ei i forgot the name but she is the second form of Ei i think its mikoto that ask help for tartarus to re - loop the history and to combine the two timeline into one by putting mikoto's presence in Ei's sword/spear.
ok but what's Aether's role in all of this? because, if this was going to be true, means Aether did this before, but he is still an Outlander, how can that be? I mean the theory that were we're stuck in a samsara has been floating around and seems more and more plausible as time goes by but this specific perspective doesn't make sense when you try to introduce Aether in it, because by this chain of events he shouldn't still be a outlander, and this is very focused around lumine so again, what is aether's role in all of this?
This makes sense when you think about it. The reason forbidden knowledge is bad is because it would break the cycle of Teyvat. Anybody that does something they aren't supposed to aka something that isn't in their fate, will break the loop for good. I think for this reason, the Sustaner altered the Irminsul to change people's perception of fate entirely. You can even see her cubes by the tree during the final part of the last act of the Sumeru Archon quest. I always found it strange that nobody brought it up. Not a single character bothered to question it, not even the traveler, which is weird considering he knows what they look like, as he draws them in the very beginning of the game alongside the Sustaner in the sand. Also, it's possible that the Sustaner is either asleep, or, if you have read one of Neuvillette's voice lines, it hints at the possibility that she is dead, and Celestia is empty and has been for 500 years ever since the Cataclysm. This could be why there has been silence from the HP for so long, it's because the HP is no longer alive anymore, but almost nobody knows this right now except for maybe the Fatui Harbingers and the Tsaritsa. 🤔
This may not be that important to hear but like with Attack on Titan and The Flash, Little Nightmares 2 also has one of it's main-protagonists (Mono for those who know what I mean) face his "antagonistic" future-self who's been doing anything he could to prevent certain tragic future-events from happening.
timeloop maybe, but you can start out as either lumine or aether, so no it cannot be that one becomes the sustainer. But it could be that lumine puts aether in her position once the jouney is over and vice versa, as protagonists are canon. So it could be that when we reach the end of the journey we will be sent back in time and as aether go through the abyss twins story to tell our twin that the journey needs to be fulfilled. 2 overlapping timeloops with either protagonist also as their abyssal twin.
My issue is that Ether has memories of the heavenly priciples, but has no memory of the cycle. If he did, then he'd not need Paimon to teach the language of Teyvar to him, which was said to have happenned. It was shown that Irminsoul has no affect on While Paimon may canonically restrict our journey (since her saying to explore that part later was referenced in normal discussion), I think it was already implied that Dain was Lumine's partner on her journey, who'd most likely not do such a purposefully restrictive guiding due to being from Kanre'ah, which Celestia destroys, and which Dain was shown to care about (although there could be betrayal somewhere along the way, but it feels unlikely) The Unknown god being Lumine's "future" self seems unlikely to me. Partually due to the amount of difference between their styles, which one can make a case for being white-ish in general, but as far as my intuition goes they seem different enough not to be the same person (unless some merging or fusion happens) The main reason is that I don't think Hoyo would allow Lumine to be playable then, because based on the character selection, it would be a drastic difference to explain, or it would be a "break" of your personal story if you picked the "wrong" character. Both are quite indirect reasons, it's more about how I think the creators think. What would make sense to me is something along the lines of your picked character getting captured (could be the scene with the unknown god, but not necessarily), and getting your own simulation, where even your othervise existing twin is also simulated (although in this case your twin doesn't necessarily have to actually exist). Why this would be done to you is a question, but it could either be an attempt to merge you into the simulation to reach something, or trying to reach a goal with your help. The sibling part could just be entirely fabricated, or it could be your actual sibling after they were already merged into the simulation, making them a part of the world now. This would not entirely explain the memory stuff mentioned at the top, unless it is our first attempt. The rest could be the ones that took to merge the sibling. It could also just be a fabricated version of the capture, to give us an incentive, but that would mean that Irminsoul is not affecting our memories, but something does, which either means a double layer or memory control(, or a purposeful exception, which I find quite unlikely) I have an issue however with the cycle stuff, which is that the background lore / history seems unnecessarily intricate and detailed to be fabricated. That is not necessarily a case against the cycles, but rather against the idea that the entire thing is a fabrication, which was not said in the video, but rather was kind of my implied theory above. Although the length of the cycle is questionable, it may include all the intricate lore. One other thing to mention is that I read under another video that the word samsara is a real word in a language, and it doesn't originally implies an actual loop, but rather somewhat of a cycle of things happening, which could apply to Lumine's journey as one cycle and Ether's as another one, since they walk a similar journey. There actually were multiple references to Lumine being there in the past, which was not a separate cycle (the other golden nara for example). So it could just be that all descenders just experience a similar cycle of events, not necessarily the same ones, not as a cycle, but more in a way of "history repeating itself"

Very interesting concept since there is a lot of norse mythology involved and in norse mythos everything is a cycle and maybe the remains that resonate with the 7 elements so easily is us?
yeaaaa it's all very interesting and all, but the theory is easily broken by 1 single thing. we can play as lumine. if the theory is true and lumine is the sustainer, then she has a different journey from aether. when we play as lumine, the sustainer has to be male, or the quests need to be different. it just doesn't add up
to all people who are going to be "aether is canon not lumine" - how is the game gonna end for my account then if i chose a "non canon" character? the game has to make sense for all players, and hoyo made it so that whoever you are playing, everything is the same, and so that everything still makes sense and doesn't depend on which twin you are. the theory is just a theory, but this one is already proven false by this

I think there is a sort of time loop in the game, but I don't think it's this. I think The Primordial One (Phanes), Deshret, Remus, and Irmin are all the same person, or else different incarnations of that person in different time loops/samsaras, and that the ruler of Celestia must currently be a different usurper. I also think Irmin is the one who planted Irminsul. (or, possibly, one of his past "incarnations") I also think the reason that Venti KNOWS us... is that Lumine and Aether both showed up in Khaen'riah, not just Lumine. Because they might actually be Irmin's children. His heirs. Paimon isn't some time device or time god. She's just a seelie... the one specific seelie responsible for their downfall, who fell in love with an outlander. The outlander being Dainslef. Both Dain and Paimon have lost their memories... and Dain seems to have lost his powers. It's possible he's the Third Descender, since he seems to be... missing parts of himself. Also, the reason the skies in Teyvat are fake is because Teyvat is upside-down. We're UNDERNEATH Irminsul, wrong side up.
I believe the twins are reincarnations of Phanes. He was androgynous. Perhaps in this new sansara, there was a need for his power to be divided into two.

what if both travelers are counted as 3rd and 4th descender respectively.. despite whoever u choose u become the 4th descender and the sibling becomes 3rd.. they go on their journey and they die! and since they die there information gets recorded in irminsul.. there body being used to create the gnosis.. while their spirit reforms or resurfaces somehow from the leylines connecting them more to abyss.. while they are on their revenge run fighting against "destiny" trying to fight against the gods who have siblings body parts as gnosis.. we start our journey and unbeknownst to us our sibling is a walking talking ghost.. as for how we will save her.. well, we will get all the gnosis back from fatui.. hopefully. and give it back to our sibling so they can revive or we will use it to free them from leylines completely and give them a sorrowful send off. This theory is interesting, but I have one question. What would happen if the player chooses Lumine as their traveler? Would Aether become the Sustainer, or would Lumine sacrifice herself in order to save her brother, and you continue as Aether the rest of the way?
Teyvat IS in a time loop, this has been shown in several places, but the travelers being part of it? now that's a bit more unlikely...One other thing prevents this and that is what if you pick the female traveler instead???
I think this theory is just way too cracked to be true. Think you might just be a bit too inspired after seeing Attack On Titan. One immediate issue is that the Sustainer is female whether you choose Aether or Lumine so it makes little sense for your sibling to be her. Second is as shown in Caribear, the siblings think in nearly identical ways. If they were told something they'd have nearly identical reactions. It's why the sibling is so confident once Traveler sees the world he'll come to the same conclusions. It would almost make more sense for the twin to be a time duplicate, but I'm fairly certain they are distinct individuals. Also I'm more under the impression Paimon is the Pale Princess from the Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies. She fits the description fairy well and much like in the story, she doesn't really seem capable of harm to anyone. She was also said to have fair skin and light colored eyes just like Paimon being extremely pale, wearing nothing but white, white hair, and blue eyes. She fits nearly perfectly.

And what we see in the intro is a woman even before we had to choose and did not change after we have chosen. It would be cool though for someone who chose to play aether.

Be careful of that video dub, it is full of translation errors. From the original Chinese chapter storyline preview, "the divine" is "天理" which is mean "heavenly principle". "Then, the threads of all fate will be yours to re-weave." While in original Chinese is "然后, 就去重新纺织所有的命运吧", more like "then go forth and re-weave all the fate". Maybe the traveler is the "loom of fate" itself? As another one where the original said "我们不是滤清「神选者」后剩余的残渣" while the English version is "Some say a few are chosen and the rest are dregs, but I say we humans have our humanity." that is just completely off. Actual meaning should be "we are not the leftovers that filtered out by the god". Which hint that Natlan region will tell the story of that winners will ascend and leave the loop. From the preview video it seems Teyvat is a fate prison, like from the movie Matrix where everyone's mind been trapped in a fake reality, agents were placed in to delete any intruders from outside of the matrix or anyone who defy the system. Time loop theory seems possible, maybe "Fate Loop" or "Cycle of fate"? Maybe Teyvat was put into a loop because the heavenly principle wants to preserve something? what does the "rescue her" mean? Who are the one suffer from memory "erosion"? The trapped sibling has gone through the repeated fate loop, trying to break free and ask the traveler not to be a bystander, but Dainsleif seems like he wants to preserve the loop.

(it was around the institute) The descenders are classified as one not only because they aren't from Teyvat according to the Fatui but, later on according to one of the members, the most important factor is that their will is strong enough to change the entire fate of the world. Meaning that there could've been more people from other worlds but weren't classified as descenders as their will wasn't strong enough

1. What if the player chose Lumine as the main character? Mihoyo has already confirmed that BOTH Travelers are canon.
2. The place where you meet Sustainer is NOT YET CONFIRMED to be Celestia. It’s most likely the place we see when we open the game before coming to Teyvat.

According to the lore Teyvat have 60.000 years worth of history, around 40.000 years ago there was a war, a war between the first and the second decender , The Primordial one/ Phanes and The Second who come.
The victor of this war is still unknown, but after the war many civilizations was being destroyed by Celestia.
Also Khaenriah is known as "the nation of darkness" , Erebus is The Primordial god of darkness, just thought I should mention it.
The more I think about it, the more I think it MUST be true that Teyvat is in a giant samsara because narratively there's no reason to introduce the concept of samsara unless it has larger relevance. It _could_ have been possible that it was a device only meant to be used in Sumeru and never again, but I think that possibility is shot down now that we have Rene(?)'s notes in Fontaine. In the notes, he theorizes we're about halfway through the fourth samsara. Interestingly, one of the past samsaras is called the "Natlantean" cycle, so we may get more info confirming Teyvat's samsaras in the next region!
@@gealachriamh42 Sounds really dank, but i like the idea of all the descenders being the twins, or at least that the twins descended multiple times, with their roles changing each cycle. I also like that this idea could bring, loops where the twins repeatedly try to fix the mistakes caused by previous cycles, but due to working against themselves, are unable to simply remove/replace the "new" them every cycle, as they maybe need them to be "pure" in order to make the decisions they needed to fix the mistakes.

The only thing about this i don't understand is if this would be true, why are there two Lumines? If the Abyss Lumine becomes the Sustainer, then where does the other Lumine come from to loop the cycle? Also, the game has to make sense with either sibling on either side. If you have Abyss Aether, then he can't turn into the Sustainer now can he.
If its a loot the other one is herself, once you go back to the starting point, that actualy isnt hard, but it just cant be, game progress, to many things happen for it to be simply a loop but more impotantly iy ==t would be so dumb that because they have a vaguely similar look they are the same, its just the game has poor graphism and everyone got the save face anyway in this game so 2 girl blondish hair and oh look they are the same person... that would be a dumb plot for real
While the theory is very interesting and yeah the title screen could be the end game, I don't think it works because we see evidence of Sustainer's work already during our journey. The first example that comes to mind right now is the cube rocks found in the Chasm. So, how would it work, if Lumine is not yet the Sustainer by then? It would be so mind blowing otherwise

Eh there's plenty of examples of this being done in fiction. Most notable examples I can think of being Prisoner of Azkaban (obviously HP series) and the CW's The Flash. HP saving his past self due to getting the idea of it after his future self saving him or CW's The Flash the speeding storm that enveloped Barry's Home being Barry from the future stopping R. Flash from killing himself as a child and letting his mother die which sets in motion him becoming the Flash. Both instances of a time loop repeating and having a future self interacting with their past self. Plus the nifty part of all this is that due to the future self being in the present/past has no real limitations of how it's timeframe can work. Not that I agree with the theory at all but food for thought

I think this is going a bit far, what I personally think is that the 1st cutscene shows the moment when we were trying to leave tevat, to me that place looks like the edge of the world where you have portals or entrances to the outside, for the shape of tyvat isn't a whole planet, it's a hemisphere in a giant ocean, that hemisphere is inside a bubble, hence the false sky inside.
What would that Theory mean for people like me that play as Lumine. We will become the sustainer? Kinda wouldn’t make much sense from that angle. But hey we already know that Aether is more like the main lore line so it still could be possible.
What if the Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles actually killed the other sibling from the very beginning of the story (The trapped sibling was not actually trapped rather killed) and then our character who is currently journeying across Teyvat is actually just us reliving the time loop that we created with the help of Istaroth. And then the reason why the supposedly dead sibling is in the abyss is that they are actually the manifestation of the regrets that we failed to save them. The reason why we are journeying (why the sibling urges us to finish the journey to find out the truth) is to find a way to finally save our sibling. As the death of our sibling brought upon the manifestation of the abyss, hence why they are the princess of the abyss. One big reason why Istaroth could've helped us was to prevent the rise and creation of abyss. Paimon could be an avatar created by Istaroth to help us find a way to change what happened I the past, Paimon could be the God of Time's help for us. By ensuring that we continue our journey on a specific pre-planned path - a path that was created every time the loop resets, each one different from the other.

I had almost exactly the same theory back around when Inazuma was released, but I don't think it's gonna Lumine that becomes the Sustainer, because the story of Lumine and Aether needs to be symmetrical/parallel. In my theory, the story of Lumine and Aether is a similar to the loop that happens in "Dark", a Netflix series. And I think the Fatui will use all the gnoses to turn Paimon back into the Sustainer, and that she's the 3rd Descender at the same time.

Thought Sustainer was Asmodae, one of the 4 shades. And the place where the twins met her was probably at the "Star Railway Station." The twins are there as if waiting for their ride to leave the world. The whole world of Teyvat is in a samsara cycle, that's why Tsaritsa / Fatui harbingers are collecting gnoses to trigger ragnarok to break the cycle.

1st Descender - Primordial One
2nd Descender - Nibelung (Dragon King - fled Teyvat, then descended after acquiring power of darkness)
3rd Descender - One of the witches of Hexenzirkel (deceased)
4th Descender - Traveler
I think Irumen the original king of Khaenri'ah is the 3rd and I dont think the 2nd has anything to do with the dragons, that would have been mentioned in before sun and moon when the dragons and the second were introduced. The Enkanomiyans were very familiar with dragons that should not have escaped them if it was the dragon king that caused the disaster that sunk them plus every mention of the second who came is played up as a mystery from a story telling perspective if its the dragons again then why set it up that way unless the second is different enough for it to be a worthy payoff.

Since they were well aware the dragons and before sun and moon introduces the sovereigns why would they not say the dragon king or the return of the dragon king and instead say "the second who came" its not like they wouldnt know the context since the previous portion of the book is outlining the context. I just dont think the second who came refers to the dragon king.

I always thought the themes in all the archon quests apply to the end story of the traveler. To be free they sign a contract, "death" of a twin as a result, partially losing our memories of them, striping themsleves of their powers into a humanity and divinity, to stop the wars or maybe start one, all that out of love for the sibling. The thing focalors has said also might hint at the main story where she says to fool the heavenly principles, you must fool yourselves.
Also its got me wondering, since the sibling we play as has no powers at the start, what if the gnosis was made from us. Seeing as though we can resonate with every element its abit odd that we dont have our original "divinty".

Well its a good theory but its confirmed by nahida that they are two different people. Third descender should be dead as stated by skirk. Considering that the abyss twin has been in teyvat only for 500 years, she can't be the third descender since she must have been present and must have died before the archon war. And its not like the twins don't have any prior memories of each other in other worlds before coming to teyvat.
a big thing to debunk the lumine is heavenly principles theory is that the abyss twin is not a descender. After 4.2 in a world quest you will find information that not everyone who comes from outside of teyvat is a descender, and irminsul confirmed that the abyss twin is not one. Also, the teyvat is a big samsara is more or less confirmed as it's a thing that's always a motif for hoyoverse games. From information in game available right now, A descender is someone who meets certain conditions, and not necessarily someone who came from outside the world

After all you still would bind people longer when they could work on other things by then. Art like the recent brithday arts always have two Version.

ok but what's Aether's role in all of this? because, if this was going to be true, means Aether did this before, but he is still an Outlander, how can that be? I mean the theory that were we're stuck in a samsara has been floating around and seems more and more plausible as time goes by but this specific perspective doesn't make sense when you try to introduce Aether in it, because by this chain of events he shouldn't still be a outlander, and this is very focused around lumine so again, what is aether's role in all of this?

This makes sense when you think about it. The reason forbidden knowledge is bad is because it would break the cycle of Teyvat. Anybody that does something they aren't supposed to aka something that isn't in their fate, will break the loop for good. I think for this reason, the Sustaner altered the Irminsul to change people's perception of fate entirely. You can even see her cubes by the tree during the final part of the last act of the Sumeru Archon quest. I always found it strange that nobody brought it up. Not a single character bothered to question it, not even the traveler, which is weird considering he knows what they look like, as he draws them in the very beginning of the game alongside the Sustaner in the sand. Also, it's possible that the Sustaner is either asleep, or, if you have read one of Neuvillette's voice lines, it hints at the possibility that she is dead, and Celestia is empty and has been for 500 years ever since the Cataclysm. This could be why there has been silence from the HP for so long, it's because the HP is no longer alive anymore, but almost nobody knows this right now except for maybe the Fatui Harbingers and the Tsaritsa. 🤔
This may not be that important to hear but like with Attack on Titan and The Flash, Little Nightmares 2 also has one of it's main-protagonists (Mono for those who know what I mean) face his "antagonistic" future-self who's been doing anything he could to prevent certain tragic future-events from happening.
timeloop maybe, but you can start out as either lumine or aether, so no it cannot be that one becomes the sustainer. But it could be that lumine puts aether in her position once the jouney is over and vice versa, as protagonists are canon. So it could be that when we reach the end of the journey we will be sent back in time and as aether go through the abyss twins story to tell our twin that the journey needs to be fulfilled. 2 overlapping timeloops with either protagonist also as their abyssal twin.

My issue is that Ether has memories of the heavenly priciples, but has no memory of the cycle.
If he did, then he'd not need Paimon to teach the language of Teyvar to him, which was said to have happenned.

While Paimon may canonically restrict our journey (since her saying to explore that part later was referenced in normal discussion), I think it was already implied that Dain was Lumine's partner on her journey, who'd most likely not do such a purposefully restrictive guiding due to being from Kanre'ah, which Celestia destroys, and which Dain was shown to care about (although there could be betrayal somewhere along the way, but it feels unlikely)
The Unknown god being Lumine's "future" self seems unlikely to me.
Partually due to the amount of difference between their styles, which one can make a case for being white-ish in general, but as far as my intuition goes they seem different enough not to be the same person (unless some merging or fusion happens)
The main reason is that I don't think Hoyo would allow Lumine to be playable then, because based on the character selection, it would be a drastic difference to explain, or it would be a "break" of your personal story if you picked the "wrong" character.
Both are quite indirect reasons, it's more about how I think the creators think.
What would make sense to me is something along the lines of your picked character getting captured (could be the scene with the unknown god, but not necessarily), and getting your own simulation, where even your othervise existing twin is also simulated (although in this case your twin doesn't necessarily have to actually exist).
Why this would be done to you is a question, but it could either be an attempt to merge you into the simulation to reach something, or trying to reach a goal with your help.
The sibling part could just be entirely fabricated, or it could be your actual sibling after they were already merged into the simulation, making them a part of the world now.
This would not entirely explain the memory stuff mentioned at the top, unless it is our first attempt. The rest could be the ones that took to merge the sibling.
It could also just be a fabricated version of the capture, to give us an incentive, but that would mean that Irminsoul is not affecting our memories, but something does, which either means a double layer or memory control(, or a purposeful exception, which I find quite unlikely)
I have an issue however with the cycle stuff, which is that the background lore / history seems unnecessarily intricate and detailed to be fabricated.
That is not necessarily a case against the cycles, but rather against the idea that the entire thing is a fabrication, which was not said in the video, but rather was kind of my implied theory above.
Although the length of the cycle is questionable, it may include all the intricate lore.
One other thing to mention is that I read under another video that the word samsara is a real word in a language, and it doesn't originally implies an actual loop, but rather somewhat of a cycle of things happening, which could apply to Lumine's journey as one cycle and Ether's as another one, since they walk a similar journey.
There actually were multiple references to Lumine being there in the past, which was not a separate cycle (the other golden nara for example).
So it could just be that all descenders just experience a similar cycle of events, not necessarily the same ones, not as a cycle, but more in a way of "history repeating itself"

yeaaaa it's all very interesting and all, but the theory is easily broken by 1 single thing. we can play as lumine. if the theory is true and lumine is the sustainer, then she has a different journey from aether. when we play as lumine, the sustainer has to be male, or the quests need to be different. it just doesn't add up
to all people who are going to be "aether is canon not lumine" - how is the game gonna end for my account then if i chose a "non canon" character? the game has to make sense for all players, and hoyo made it so that whoever you are playing, everything is the same, and so that everything still makes sense and doesn't depend on which twin you are. the theory is just a theory, but this one is already proven false by this

I think there is a sort of time loop in the game, but I don't think it's this.
I think The Primordial One (Phanes), Deshret, Remus, and Irmin are all the same person, or else different incarnations of that person in different time loops/samsaras, and that the ruler of Celestia must currently be a different usurper.
I also think Irmin is the one who planted Irminsul. (or, possibly, one of his past "incarnations")
I also think the reason that Venti KNOWS us... is that Lumine and Aether both showed up in Khaen'riah, not just Lumine. Because they might actually be Irmin's children. His heirs.
Paimon isn't some time device or time god. She's just a seelie... the one specific seelie responsible for their downfall, who fell in love with an outlander.

I see this happening later because it's so true like just see how all the archons are going against celestia like leaving zhongli and venti we saw raiden ei will become aloof again after seeing raiden makoto die and again if loop continues similarly rukhadevata will again sacrifice and again will focalors will die maybe but I think she decieved the cycle by breaking the throne so now she isn't in the cycle now I feel. what if both travelers are counted as 3rd and 4th descender respectively.. despite whoever u choose u become the 4th descender and the sibling becomes 3rd.. they go on their journey and they die! and since they die there information gets recorded in irminsul.. there body being used to create the gnosis.. while their spirit reforms or resurfaces somehow from the leylines connecting them more to abyss.. while they are on their revenge run fighting against "destiny" trying to fight against the gods who have siblings body parts as gnosis.. we start our journey and unbeknownst to us our sibling is a walking talking ghost.. as for how we will save her.. well, we will get all the gnosis back from fatui.. hopefully. and give it back to our sibling so they can revive or we will use it to free them from leylines completely and give them a sorrowful send off. IDK. 😋

In this case Fontaine's fate was always ever the flood that dissolves beings made of the primordial sea, but the details of this "script" where filled by the people in Fontaine

This theory is interesting, but I have one question. What would happen if the player chooses Lumine as their traveler? Would Aether become the Sustainer, or would Lumine sacrifice herself in order to save her brother, and you continue as Aether the rest of the way?
Teyvat IS in a time loop, this has been shown in several places, but the travelers being part of it? now that's a bit more unlikely...One other thing prevents this and that is what if you pick the female traveler instead???

I think this theory is just way too cracked to be true. Think you might just be a bit too inspired after seeing Attack On Titan. One immediate issue is that the Sustainer is female whether you choose Aether or Lumine so it makes little sense for your sibling to be her. Second is as shown in Caribear, the siblings think in nearly identical ways. If they were told something they'd have nearly identical reactions. It's why the sibling is so confident once Traveler sees the world he'll come to the same conclusions. It would almost make more sense for the twin to be a time duplicate, but I'm fairly certain they are distinct individuals.
Also I'm more under the impression Paimon is the Pale Princess from the Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies. She fits the description fairy well and much like in the story, she doesn't really seem capable of harm to anyone. She was also said to have fair skin and light colored eyes just like Paimon being extremely pale, wearing nothing but white, white hair, and blue eyes. She fits nearly perfectly.

I think it cant be lumine... i mean there's no way, or so i think. In the game currently, the missing sibling's gender changes along with your choice. And what we see in the intro is a woman even before we had to choose and did not change after we have chosen. It would be cool though for someone who chose to play aether.
No way this is true, Hoyo would never admit that lumine is not canon protagonist, since if you play her, the brother is the abyss twin, unless Sustainer is a lady boy, this theory is dead on arrival...
Aether is hot female now ....jokes aside... Sustainer do have some resemblance to the twins.. physically i mean... Pale hair and golden eyes...since aether and lumine are blond twins ... but lumines hair is cooler in shade and aether have warmer blond hair
You make the assumption that Aether is the canon sibling, which he is not. Hoyoverse confirmed that BOTH siblings are canon.
Be careful of that video dub, it is full of translation errors. From the original Chinese chapter storyline preview, "the divine" is "天理" which is mean "heavenly principle".
"Then, the threads of all fate will be yours to re-weave." While in original Chinese is "然后, 就去重新纺织所有的命运吧", more like "then go forth and re-weave all the fate". Maybe the traveler is the "loom of fate" itself?
As another one where the original said "我们不是滤清「神选者」后剩余的残渣" while the English version is "Some say a few are chosen and the rest are dregs, but I say we humans have our humanity." that is just completely off. Actual meaning should be "we are not the leftovers that filtered out by the god". Which hint that Natlan region will tell the story of that winners will ascend and leave the loop.
From the preview video it seems Teyvat is a fate prison, like from the movie Matrix where everyone's mind been trapped in a fake reality, agents were placed in to delete any intruders from outside of the matrix or anyone who defy the system.
Time loop theory seems possible, maybe "Fate Loop" or "Cycle of fate"? Maybe Teyvat was put into a loop because the heavenly principle wants to preserve something? what does the "rescue her" mean? Who are the one suffer from memory "erosion"?
The trapped sibling has gone through the repeated fate loop, trying to break free and ask the traveler not to be a bystander, but Dainsleif seems like he wants to preserve the loop.
