@@Mcdonaldsbag Unfortunately, as great as it would be to have the power to reach out to Netflix directly for an idea submission, they actually have an incredibly stringent process by which they control their creative content. This process does not allow for ANY outsiders' ideas to be pitched, however. The only people who are "allowed" to pitch submissions to Netflix executives are their 8 trusted agents; all of whom are unknown to the general population.
The ONLY way this could work is if a ton of freakishly rare situations aligned in syzygy, beginning with the person pitching the idea having a direct and trustworthy connection to one of Netflix's 8 talent agents or execs. Someone out there does have this power, but who??

If we must die, let it not be like hogs
Hunted and penned in an inglorious spot,
While round us bark the mad and hungry dogs,
Making their mock at our accursèd lot.
If we must die, O let us nobly die,
So that our precious blood may not be shed
In vain; then even the monsters we defy
Shall be constrained to honor us though dead!
O kinsmen! we must meet the common foe!
Though far outnumbered let us show us brave,
And for their thousand blows deal one death-blow!
What though before us lies the open grave?
Like men we’ll face the murderous, cowardly pack,
Pressed to the wall, dying, but fighting back!

According to the author of a book called the Bravest Man in The British Army, He could have taken the VC many times. He got all the rest of the significant medals. They were left to me, they now held by the War museum in Jhb and his dress medals are on display at His old school, St Andrews College. GT. The book is a facinating read and account by people who fought long side him and gave him his name, the title of the book. Wish Ballen, would do a run down of him to. His VC was awarded in France, in similar circumstances as this amazing story.

Sabaton, bring the modern day bards that they are, did such a MAGNIFICENT song for this "impossible" moment in history. I can't recommend it enough.
Sabaton - "Attack of the Dead Men". It's a heavyy-power metal song with clean lyrics and clean vocals (no death, thrash, or black metal growling/screaming/vocals, all straught-up singing). Radio Tapok actually did a Russian cover, too, with a great music video!
Radio Tapok's video titles are bilingual, with the band and song title in English, and usually saying "cover на русском". You can search for it using an English keyboard, so no worries. I'd rather not link either song at risk of being autoflagged as spam by RUclips.

You do realise that this story is more than likely complete and utter bullshit, right? The Russians had a nack for making up stories like this during this time period. It was usually do to the fact that moral was so low among the soldiers that none of them wanted to fight anymore. Too many were dying and on the Russian front they were actually losing very badly. They kept sending hundreds of thousands of troops westward only to have the vast majority of die and not come back. So stories like this kept getting fabricated to try and get more soldiers out to the field because many were just giving up. Not to mention the fact that they were starting to hate the monarchy that they were fighting for. They thought the Tzar was a British puppet and his wife a lunatic do to her close relationship with Gregory Rasputin. Plus she herself was of the German aristocracy so they saw this whole war as nothing but a family feud. And their moral was also low because the country's future was in question do to the heir to the thrown having a degenerative blood disease, and Marxist Bolshevism was on the rise as well. So Russia was in complete turmoil during WW1. Stories like this were a dime a dozen.
It's more likely that the Germans took the fort easily but it was in ruins do to the bombardment. The type of artillery being used at the time was still new in war. So the Germans probably over did it and destroyed the fort themselves and the Russians more than likely made up this last stand Zombie Alamo story to boost moral among the remaining soldiers and also boost nationalistic unity during a time of great division among the Russian people.... I've found no proof to show me otherwise when I try to look up the validity of this story. And I normally love Mr. Ballen stories but this one I'd take with a very large grain of salt.

@kimmordang1067 Right, life was/is hard there. His adoptive family (here in the USA) didn't treat him very good either. He never felt loved, and he started getting into fights and doing/dealing drugs, and ended up in prison. Of all the girls he'd been with, nobody attempted to give him a chance and see if he could change his ways, until he met my daughter. She got him out of the city and brought him to our home in the country. He quit doing drugs, quit dealing, and even got a job, which he never had before. Now they are going to have a baby, and soon they'll have a new car and a new place to live with their little, happy family. His adoptive parents have seen the change in him, and are even going to give them money for a down payment on their house! He now feels love from his parents, and is a good man. He will now have a good life

@crystalh450 she's actually not far off. Most Russians grow up in an abusive household, because standards for war are still present.
