      I have a tune 2013 concours. That pig rips bro! Unless you got skills it’s hard to keep up with a concours rider. I get hate from the 1000cc boys online who don’t even know what a concours is😂 yet here we are passing 600 & 1000’s!

    I have the same bike and I know how fast they are... never thought of trying one on a track, but it looks like it was faster than those slowpokes who wouldn't get out of the way there. Great riding on your part too... nice vid.

    Three local motorcyclists reported dead in suicide pact. Friends of the deceased say they never recovered after being humiliated by a motorcycle known only as "The Silent Assassin." They request that out of respect, no GTR-14 riders bring their motorcycles to the funeral services.

    WoW!!, I have a 2014 Concours 14 and tooo seeeee this is mind Blowing. This rider is bad ass, the first few minutes were kind of boring like something was wrong, then this guy just turns it on and goes PRO!! Freakin BADASS, I'm a instant Fan. Enjoyed the video and laughed at the end how you just shadow that guy when you could have easily jetted by. Really Good Video.

    The Kawasaki doesn't have a lot of electronics..
    But it does have a lot of speed! Especially considering a drive shaft bike ...10.8 1/4 mile! 167 top speed.

    Coming from a Concours owner, I wish Kawasaki had made the Concours engine with a 12 to 1 compression ratio like their 1400 race bikes had or have. It would really compliment the concours which weighs near 700 lbs. Plus the factory tune is horrible. Really restricts the motor. Good riding such a big bike.

  • @loopertrooper6671

      +1 ? Really letting the front end go nicely. Curious about suspenion too. Traxion dynamics, ohlins, racetech?

    • @marioldm
      @marioldm  5 лет назад +7

      Bridgestone t31, bone stock suspension, just tried to keep the temps within a reasonable temperature by checking with an IR gun at the end of every session, around 180deg f +or- 10 degrees, beyond 195ish I have noticed they get slippery and less predictable. Jacked up the front and rear preload to about 90% so I could get more clearance before dragging hardparts. Damping was set as hard as it would go but on stock suspension it's still somewhat soft. You can ride around it by being as smooth as possible but when hard on the throttle it tends to induce a sort of wallow from the rear instead of a smooth slide like a regular sportbike.

    • @Mario-ox1wc
      @Mario-ox1wc 5 лет назад +1

      A bit of both and also due to suspension. The comfy suspension on the Concours tends to wallow a bit over imperfections especially when accelerating.

    • @smoke05s
      @smoke05s 2 года назад

      @@Mario-ox1wc Good to know. I just got a used 2009. The guy I got it from had it set up full stiff (damping on max spring on max). I fixed that so it absorbs imperfections in the road instead of ricocheting off them, but that wallow on full acceleration is still there. I thought my bushings were toast. Sounds like theses bikes just do that.

    I would love to run a track with you on my r1200rt. I was between the concours and the r1200rt until I rode them back to back in the I now have Just under 45000 miles and I am still very happy with my torque monster. My BMW still cranks wheelies like it did with ten miles I love it. I had been riding Kawasaki bikes from the age of 7 I will probably end up getting another after I get tired if the BMW I traded my 07 zx10r on my BMW. I only mad that choice because riding to Maine from nj wasn't fun for my back once I got to be 30 after I went from NY to flordia and back I decided the zx10r needs to be replaced with a sport touring bike. If anyone reads this ever please go ride a boxer engine BMW you will smile be ready to buy. Once the aftermarket goes crazy on the concours 14 I may get one as either as a replacement or just a second bike well a second touring bike lol I have 7 total now
