Amazing to think what darts lool like now compared to the 80s and yet the biggest improvement made in that time is the thinned spiders on the board. Makes the achievements of Bristow and lowe really stand out
Yeah sure does and the boards do make more of a difference than people appreciate, when you try a round wire board after using the new ones the amount of bounce outs is shocking.

@@DartsReviewChannel That’s what I thought about the Winmau Joe Cullen Gen 1’s. The red coating in the scallop section started to peel off after about 3 months use. That experience would put me off putting these.

Only ask because it seems some people wear coatings quicker than others, no idea if its things in the sweat but one guy I know wore the coating off the Harrows Aura in just a few hours! my coating on that same dart lasted many months. Same with the Winmau Paul Nico darts, same guy wore it in no time, mine still looked fine after a year of use, I am not talking about barrel and barrel contact, just the actual coating wearing off where he held it.
@@DartsReviewChannel I will send you on a picture Darren of the way they currently are. I don’t sweat at all when gripping or throwing the dart. I think what may have happened is that the point of an incoming dart has made contact with the dart that is in the board as the paint has come away in chunks rather than wearing off in bits. I have two sets of Joe Cullen’s (21 and 23g) and it has happened on both of them

@@ianallcock well I put it on as I could not find my wrist strap I have lots of joint problems, hand, wrist, shoulder, knees, back, even my feet and ankles ache so if I could wrap my whole self it may help but doubt I could throw then lol but I think wearing the sleeve helps to some extent but I would not say it's going to eliminate any problems you may have 😊

A good looking dart,, it seems the fashion is for longer darts these days,, 50 mm and over,, dont see many new darts at shorter lengths being manufactured,, green is my fav colour as well but then I’m a Celtic fan,👍
yeah I think there does seem to be a trend for longer barrels, I usually prefer around 48mm myself but I do like my Target Sprint darts and I think they are over 50mm but more often than not a longer dart is worse for me :)
I’m currently throwing an old set of winmau ‘high impact’ original data, only 45 mm long but flying better for me than ever, I emailed winmau about buying a new set but they don’t make the original dart anymore,, so I’ll just keep chucking the old ones,,

My ratings have always been out of 10. We all feel the grip level different depending on how sensitive your fingers/nerves are but over the 10 years I have been doing this more often than not the ratings from the brands themselves are usually off and more people have agreed with my own personal rating than the brands. But as I said we are all different so you may agree with them 😊

its a hard one, I think it helps with blood flow a little and has a nice comforting feel, wont make you throw better though if thats what you mean :)

Winmau and Red Dragon are very good at discontinuing old models, all brands do it but I notice it more with them
