He spent 2 hours having a mental breakdown trying to figure where he went wrong raising me while berating me, mind you, I was in my mid 30s and already married at this point (to a white woman which only acceptable because in his own words, at least she is a "real" doctor unlike you.) I'm convinced he would have disowned me if he had known I was in an open relationship (and later open marriage) and pansexual nonbinary with male, female and trans partners.

Of course, I learned a lot about Korean culture, issues, likes, dislikes....anyway, you always nail it right on the head. Your talent floors me as many of my Korean kids' talent gave me great joy. I wish you great happiness and success. You bring me joy and laughter every day. God, you are so talented!!!! Way to go!

I'm not of Asian descent, I'm Hispanic & Hispanic parents are like this but in a very different way... Like not about grades, school & stuff just like nothing is ever good enough type treatment so I would have loved if when I was in high school I saw these types of videos. I think a lot of different backgrounds can relate to the feeling of being a disappointment, so that's so great that you show these videos to let them have some fun at the end of the lesson!

I'm 33 now, but growing up I was very conflicted between what my parents thought was acceptable for a teen to do and what my friends thought & and what I saw all my peers doing around me. I always felt like my parents were disappointed in me and I was just doing what all the other young people were doing at the time. To my parents some of the things that were totally normal for an American teen to do were unacceptable to them, and on the other hand things that my peers would get in trouble for like drinking a little alcohol was totally normal in my home. It was pretty confusing growing up, but now that I'm past the tough teen years I'm very proud of my Latino culture!
