FYI - Methylated Spirits is called Denatured Ethanol in the US. 👍
Awesome thanks 😊
I came here after someone was trying to shame you on Facebook for not giving instructions before they even checked! These are absolutely beautiful and your instructions are on point! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you so much for your support. My accounts are getting so large and I'm having trouble keeping up with answering everyone. I try to share as much as possible ❤
I just saw your bobbles on Facebook. Wow they are amazing. Can't wait to watch more videos ❤
💕💕☺️
I found you on FB and had to go to YT and subscribe. Beautiful work ❤
Awesome! Thank you!
Marabu sells easy marble for marbling on paper and other non-porous materials.
❤
Love watching your videos for inspiration and how wonderful it is that you share your experiences! I'm new to the marbling art, I'm Métis and I love sharing this medium with our elders and youth, it brings me such joy and healing when i can go to my studio and create beautiful works, releasing emotions in the process😊. Many blessings and prosperity to you and thank you for your videos.🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much for these videos. I shall be attempting them soon.
🎉🎉❤❤❤
Just watched all of your videos! You're fantastic with your tutorials! Looking forward to tests, trials, and discoveries! Thank you so much!
❤❤❤
In the UK methylated spirit ( meths) is a pale purple color. In the days before masses of food colourings, it was designed to make it look not suitable to drink. Alcoholics used to drink it! I would warn people that it is highly flammable . 🔥
Same thing in Australia. And still available in Woolworths
I found you! I will be bing watching your videos!
This is fantastic 🎉
Thanks ☺️ ❤😊
Found you just recently. Great work! 🥰 Do you have a video with instructions for preparing the paint mirror?
Not sure what are referring to sorry. The paint I use doesn't need mixing, it's ready to go. Jacquard Marbling Colors
How do you start from the very beginning? ie type of colors used? Are they mixed with anything?
Very beautiful! What sticks are you using to attach to them for the dipping and drying process and to stick them into the piece of wood?
Just a sushi stick which fits perfectly into the hole where their hanging thingy usually sits, which I put back on later.
These are beautiful, I love them!
How do you attach the sticks to the baubles to stay put?
The sushi stick fits perfectly into the bauble hole, too easy 👌
@@raynbowcrowstudios2165 Thanks a lot! 😊
The bauble you dipped that has glitter on it, did you have to pre-treat it with the spirts?
These are beautiful!!!
No prep for the glitter ones
what was used to put the colors in the water? do you have product links?
Sorry Bronwyn! One more question, On the Jaquard website the marbling paints say they are for semi porous or porous surfaces only. Are those the same ones you are using for your Christmas baubles thank you! Your Christmas bubbles are so beautiful I would really like to improve with these
Jacquard Marbling Colors is all I've ever used 👍
Hi, I just came upon one of you video on IG and LOVE this art media! I have a question: are the effects waterproof? If you were to do on glasses, can they be washed with water or will the paint come off?
I seal with a spray varnish 👍
I've contemplated making some with my granddaughter, and for that reason, have thought about actually having her put her hand or thumb on the ornament to capture that in the ornament as a memento. Would that work or would it just look smudgy?
Unfortunately it would look smudged.
Hola alguien me puede decir los materiales que se husa que pinturas son. Y que mas lleva x favor
Do you rinse these at all when dry, or just leave whatever size residue might still be on them and go ahead and seal?
Everything just drips away. Dry in the sun and seal with a spray varnish
Fantastic post my dear... I'm an Ex US Army Veteran who after 9 years Army in 1979 move to Sydney as an Art Teacher. Since I retired I've taken some unique class I've had an interest in and one was a class in Sydney, by an Immigrant from Turkey to learn traditional marbling ... Both my wife (who also taught art (airbrush techniques at TAFE) did the weekend class. We have been doing Christmas gifts and using the marbling as our backgrounds with painted images on reverse glass, but you idea nails Christmas for us, so thank you so very much... what type and brand of paint are you using, if I may ask? We have a massive collection of Australian and acrylics from around the world, plus traditional paints from Turkey ... again an excellent post ... 🙂
Thanks, Jacquard Marbling Colors ❤
Thank you Mam ... I wasn't aware Jacquard made Marbling Colors??? I so love the idea for a Christmas gift, maybe you should try the markets ASAP as it's that time of year...Just a thought.@@raynbowcrowstudios2165
What is it? Just water n what kind of paint?
If you are using methylated spirits, do I still need to spray them with Alum??? I am having difficulty with the baubles. Thank you.!
From my experience Matt baubles don't need prepping as stated in the video and the shiny get a quick metho bath.
I don't use alum with baubles
When you prep your Ornaments or items, is the fluid you use the same as rubbing alcohol here in the USA? If not, what would I buy in the USA?
The methylated spirits she used in this video is called denatured alcohol here in the States. You can find it in the paint dept at any Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.
Do these keep their shine or do I need to put a finish coat on them?
Spray varnish ❤
Do you have to do that process for any type or just for the plastic?
Glass is different and I have a video on my channel about that
Hi, I just luv your videos. I know this sounds crazy but Shouldn't I be able to use just one color? Have you tried it with just one color? I need to paint over some irredescent baubles and I would like to try this method.
No I haven't but you can experiment with one colour ❤
Thank you for your prompt reply!
those bottles are awfully little, how many ornaments will it cover ? can i use cornstarch for the medium? ty
I marble for hours with that much size. I can't comment on the cornstarch as I've never used it .
What kind of paint do you use? ❤

@@raynbowcrowstudios2165 Thank you

How do you treat the water for marbeling?
You have to watch my carrageenan video or search other RUclips videos on carrageenan
Will glass baubles work?
Some will work better than others
Can I use acrylic paint ?
Yep but acrylics will need to be slowly watered down to float on the carrageenan/water mix
@@raynbowcrowstudios2165
Thank you
Watered down to a consistency that will float ?
So alum cannot be used on shiny plastic?
It sure can, not all plastics respond well though especially plastic baubles. But I always experiment and spray any plastic with alum to see if the marbling results are enhanced
@@raynbowcrowstudios2165 Thank you!
Are those Christmas bulbs?
In Australia we call them Xmas Baubles
