    Knowing the studio version fairly well, I'm really impressed with this live version. His vocals and all the instrumentalists sounding very fine.

    Todd is an artist of multiple talents. As a good French wine, he gets better with time. Not enough to be a great songwriter/performer, he is also the most charming man in the world. Come to Brazil, Todd... and call me!

    As much as I love TR, I'm Black & that song strikes me as racist. What am I missing?

    • @MultiPetercool
      @MultiPetercool Год назад +3

      It’s not racist. It’s an indictment of the sexism and violence found in the pop music business.
      Todd has always respected Black musicians. Luther Vandross got his start singing backup for Todd. Marvin Gaye was one of Todd’s greatest influences.
      He’s right. Too much sex and violence in music. He busted on Miley Cyrus in “Evrybody” on the Global album.
      The sad fact is that gangster rap is the polar opposite of what Marvin Gaye or Smokey Robinson would sing about. Musically it’s just about as pointless as Death Metal. An abyss.
