The chance of an item being in the same place depends on the item. If there is only 1 of it. Then it is 1 in total number of items chance. If its missiles or e tanks there is a higher chance.

I was kinda confused why Oats wasn't in GO-mode waaaaay earlier. He can deal with Ridley even in SMI, so he should be able to deal with him he way he was pretty easily, even without heat protection. Depending on the exact difference between Gravity and Grav+Varia of this specific rando even I, who has never managed to do Ridley in an RBO setting, would be able to do it.
I'm surprised this isn't the default tournament setting, other than sandpit trolling it's not much slower than major items rando and there's more room for galaxy brain routes

On my first randomized run I got Screw Attack as my first item. I don't remember where the morphing ball was, but the bomb was the last item I got lmao.
Does this version equate to hard logic? He says open rando but there has to be a certain amount of logic so key things aren't locked behind something you need said thing to get through. Like speed boost being behind speed blocks or whatever Edit:he talked about the logic some after I wrote that
the super metroid link to the past randomiser solves the issue that the SM randomiser has - there's not really enough major items and way too many missiles/supers/pbombs
