Thanks for watching CP. This Ko-Ken stuff is really nice. The socket grab is amazing. Rock solid like a fixed wrench.

I got a 3/8 flex head 72 tooth Z series ratchet, a 3/8 to 3/8 spinner, and a set of nut grip metric sockets for BF. Can't wait to check them out!

Koken indeed makes good stuff; and it's additionally nice to be able to order up individual items & still get free shipping!

I bought this big wheel ratchet which has a red button on centre and the gimbal ratchet which has a blue ring part on it.
The big wheel ratchet looks nice but slightly bigger than for me and the zimbal ratchet also too big for me but this can change the position with the zimbal function, it's quite functional and i could fix screws at tiny spaces, so i would say that the zimbal ratchet might be the best handy ratchet tool. You could purchase 3/8 version and 1/4 version on the internet. The blue ring version is the 1/4 version.

I have been searching high and low for the old style spinner disc that used to be included in socket sets. I see nothing on the web and couldn't find ant at the flea markets. I finally made one out of a fender washer. I filed the center to a 3/8" square and put notches on the outer circumference. It also works for flicking off sockets on non quick release ratchets when your hands are greasy.

Adding a spinner to all my 1/4" ratchet socket drivers has been a life changer. Really helps when trying to start fastening bolts or nuts before the ratchet mechanism can be activated. However, I found the Koken 2756Z (diameter 20mm) and even the Koken 2756 (diameter 22mm) not big enough: they were hard to grab past the ratchet head. As mentioned at 2:36 with the Blue-Point spinner (21.4mm diameter), there is not a lot of purchase. So I replaced them by some Japanese NEPROS NBE28 spinners that have a bigger diameter (27mm) AND a rubber collar for better grip. Excellent solution! A similar big 1/4" spinner is the KYOTO TOOL (KTC) quick spinner BE2-Q, that is 28mm in diameter and has a bright red resin grip.

I have that GearWrench one in both 1/4" and 3/8". In the right situation they are very useful.

I think the combo with the ratcheting wrench propably makes more sense. It's soo much cheaper in the end.

I bought a set of three 1/4,3/8,1/2 for about £5.00=$6.12 and they where made out of overkill chrome vanadium solid but the back drag so smooth i thought wow so i use the thumb ratchet's all the time not so much the 1/2 mostly 1/4 for under the dash now I am looking for a good quality 1/4 drive socket thumb ratchet's there are loads but its the back drag when new over stiff so car boot sales hear I come .
Great show to day I'm starting to lean a bit towards ko-ken tool's not got any yet I'm 🇬🇧British you see so I tend to lean to German tool's Knipex, GEDORE, wera and BRITOOL EXPERT tools old stock better than snap-on year's passed now they call it BRITOOL, Facom and Stanley black n decker to make Expert tool's on MAC truck.

Wera 8001ABR1/4". It is a "bit-ratchet" and comes with 1/4" drive adapter. Also, a built-in spinner!!

The Wera is nice but I replaced it by a VIM HBR5. It is double-ended so you have a bit-ratchet AND a socket-ratchet (both with built-in spinner). Thanks to its longer length, it provides a better grip in the hand than the Wera. To make the chromed handle even less slippery, I wrapped a thin paracord around it. Oh, and it is also same quality but half the price compared to the Wera ;-)

Nice ratcheting spinner, are they available in 1/4 version? The fixed one is also very practical. I don't use them until recently, but they are great accessories. 👍👍👍👍

Speaking of ratchets, I recently purchsed a Nepros ratchet (NBRC390) out of Japan. I love how silky smooth it is. I'm surprised I haven't seen any on your channel. Have you tried them yet?

And NEPROS makes two spinners for your ratchet: the NBE38 (diameter 35mm) and NBEC38 (compact, diameter 28mm). Both have a black rubber collar, providing excellent grip. Alternatively, KTC makes the 3/8 quick spinner BE3-Q (diameter 36mm) with a red resin grip.
