you can't say she can't sing, she just can't sing like she did before, but she can nail lower notes (although she nailed we belong together for ex.). Honestly its not her age that’s exactly the problem. Age does change your voice, but because shes done so many tours and was releasing back to back albums every 2 years in the 90s. And sang vocally demanding songs from 1990-1996 with no lip syncing or proper rest honestly has had its lasting effect on her voice. Plus her nodules in the past 15 years have really started taking they’re toll on her voice. She has lost so much support, fluidity and agility. She hardly ever used vibrato. She can’t have her nodules removed. She needs vocal surgery and a vocal coach to properly help her to fix her voice. Because its not going to get better if she doesn’t. She has her good days, but shes going to have less good days if she doesn’t seek proper help.

If you're looking at the big screen at the side of the stage, it's not accurate because it's about a 1 second delay. When it cuts back to her on stage you can see it's not synced. Stop being haters.

A lot of you are commentjng on her voice without knowing the way voice works. You're identifying thete is something off, but don't diagnose what it is. I'm her literal biggest fab. I can however twell she's not at her best here. Her voice HAS come back, but the issue is....her BREATHING TECHNIQUE. When she recorded these songs she was younger and slimmer. Her age and bigger, beautiful self means she needs to do breath work. She does not take in enough air anymore, which makes trying to sing these sustained difficulty notes difficult. She should so pilates, yoga and deep breathing exercises so she's more healthy and less out of breath. With deep intakes of breath, her voice will soar again. Because it is there versatility and tonally-wise. She just needs to BREATHE. She is also incredibly nervous she hates huge concerts with loads of people. Thia makes her not prepare for each song properly breathwise. I think perhaps she cant intake breath as deeply as she used to, in part because her clothing works restrict her chest and lungs. Just loosen up Mariah-your clothes and your mentality. You are the absolute queen. Noone like you, and historically in the top 3 voices of all time in popular music, along with Aretha and Whitney. I wish you knew this yourself and were badass about it. If Aretha is your idol, take some of her attitude. There is no need for you to either be humble, or to not believe in your innate ability. There will never be another Mariah and we are all blessed to have lived contemporarily with you. You are mothfkin badass, and you should not forget that.if you can take the energy you felt when you did the surprise impromptu thing at Jimmy Fallon (he had a conceeept. If you're looking at the big screen at the side of the stage, it's not accurate because it's about a 1 second delay. When it cuts back to her on stage you can see it's not synced. Stop being haters.

This is right! She is a national and worldwide treasure! The voice is not as powerful as in the 90s, but there's been plenty of stress through the years. And we can all take better care of ourselves with exercise and breathing exercises. She still has a beautiful voice. She's a walking, talking work of art, like Whitney and Phyllis Hyman and Diane Reeves. I was so inspired by these women. We need these voices in our lives to put beauty out there. We love you Mariah!

A lot of you are commentjng on her voice without knowing the way voice works. You're identifying thete is something off, but don't diagnose what it is.
I'm her literal biggest fab. I can however twell she's not at her best here. Her voice HAS come back, but the issue is....her BREATHING TECHNIQUE.
When she recorded these songs she was younger and slimmer. Her age and bigger, beautiful self means she needs to do breath work. She does not take in enough air anymore, which makes trying to sing these sustained difficulty notes difficult.
She should so pilates, yoga and deep breathing exercises so she's more healthy and less out of breath. With deep intakes of breath, her voice will soar again. Because it is there versatility and tonally-wise. She just needs to BREATHE. She is also incredibly nervous she hates huge concerts with loads of people. Thia makes her not prepare for each song properly breathwise. I think perhaps she cant intake breath as deeply as she used to, in part because her clothing works restrict her chest and lungs.
Just loosen up Mariah-your clothes and your mentality. You are the absolute queen. Noone like you, and historically in the top 3 voices of all time in popular music, along with Aretha and Whitney. I wish you knew this yourself and were badass about it. If Aretha is your idol, take some of her attitude. There is no need for you to either be humble, or to not believe in your innate ability. There will never be another Mariah and we are all blessed to have lived contemporarily with you. You are mothfkin badass, and you should not forget that.if you can take the energy you felt when you did the surprise impromptu thing at Jimmy Fallon (he had a conceeept. And heeeeee😆) and feel that at your bigger events, you've won. Just imagine a much smallet intimate crowd and stop trying ti play for thousands of people in your head. Reduce them to 20 people in a room, and you're not even trying to impress. That is when you shine.
