If you put the lid on the saucepan while the sugar boils, the steam created prevents crystalisation which means no extra water or pastry brush is needed. I saw this technique on Kitchen Conundrums
That's the typical pro method. For big pots I put a sheetpan over it, no brushing.Remove after it reaches a rolling boil. ...The brushing is needed later in the process if crystals form because theres insufficient steam to rinse the sides and temps rise very quickly later in the process.
This is how my grandma did it in spain when making caramel for flan. It was pretty rustic, she did not have a pastry brush. Also, let sugar and water sit for a few minutes first, it starts the sugar dissolving.

Looks like when a drop of water falls in a larger body of water if watched in slow motion😍 I don't know if you have it in Australia, but here in Romania we have a meal for children, called milk semolina. You bring any kind of milk to a boil, add a pinch of salt an sugar to taste and then add semolina flour, while mixing constantly with a wisk to avoid lumps. Simmer on low heat for about 2 minuteas after adding the semolina flour, making sure to wisk constantly so as to not burn the bottom, then remove from heat and put a lid on it for 5 min. We usually eat it when little, with chocolate or just sprinkled sugar. Some like to add a knob of butter after the 5 min rest, I personally like it, some put margarine. You can let it cool and eat cold, or hot off the fire. It's super yummy. I also have a fri3nd who's mom makes it a bit different. She melts butter in a pan on low heat then adds the semolina flour to the butter. That makes it so the semolina turns golden brown and it has a richer flavor. Then add milk while stirring, a pinch of salt and sugar to taste, and wisk fro about 2 min on a low simmer. This would be awesome if placed in your pretty bowls. 😍😘

I like using honey in place of corn syrup then have some puffed rice with milk and cinnamon. The milk slowly gets sweetened with honey as the inside of the bowl dissolves.

Lela great idea! What a colourful wonderful video 👩🏻🎨👩🍳 It reminds me of watching the blown glass being made in Venice!!!! I brought back some colourful glass sweets the last time I was there, each with different colour 'packets' the only trouble is I always want to eat them. Perhaps I'd have less problems with a bowl at least 😂
Hey!! i LOVE this recipe!! it makes for amazing cake topper pieces and you can make all sorts of shapes with it!! BUT the thing that made this recipe PERFECT was dusting your creation with citric acid immediately after you pour it (you can get it at sprouts, also try mixing it in, its melting point is 400 F tho so it wont melt)
Rob didn't send me, threadbanger didn't send me, I saw the video while scrolling through my phone. Love the sugar bowls and your determination to find a way to get it done.
Really beautiful, but Lord, if it did burst when the syrup is hot, it could result in serious burns. It would’ve been fun to see how someone would eat it.
aren't you worried that the balloon, with the heat, will drop some chemical that will poison your sugar ? (like the plastic containers with bisphenol, stuff like that)

Sarah Velasquez he fails at easy stuff most of the time.
Sarah Velasquez Yess
he tried it and succeeded today
Sara. I know just seen it
Sarah Velasquez my name is sara
all I think about is threadbanger trying this
That would be amazing! He would probably burn himself multiple times!
It's more Corinne's style, tbh.
i just hope they give credit if they do
Chew Bacca they typically do. :)/
nnjddr THEY SHOULD!!
I never knew I will be interested in balloon balls I really like the fire and blue one these are really cool
Q: "Waiter, what's this fly doing in my soup?"

I tried making your sugar bowls today, they turned out good for my first try. I really want to try to do the multi colored method. Thanks for the sugar bowl part two, that really helped. I watched both before I tried making them. Thanks so much for sharing!
You are SO pretty!!!
you are SO kind :)
Brooke & Stuff I know. She should show herself more often.
ThreadBanger sent me.
thanks, i just watched Rob's video. he's such a laugh :)
These are stunning. It's like edible blown glass. Amazingly beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I am going to try this.
I remember when she had 700,000+ subs 😭 omg the feels
hey ann! here's a suggestion: you should try making the cake in melanie martinez's 'pity party' video (the 'happy birthday, cry baby' one) i don't think you've made anything melanie martinez themed on this channel before, so this might be an idea for you! 😜😜 (btw these are so pretty i love them!!) 💖
Eden Mac 🎶IT’S MY PARY AND I’L CRY IS I WANT TO!🎶
This has made my day! I need to make loads of these in a short space of time.
Gummy bears. These would be perfect for gummy bears.
Oh their stuff right? Better for lollipops XD no hate btw
The way Anne screamed oh my gosh 😂
Thank you sooo much for the tutorial BALLON SUGAR BOWL. Im planning to make Birthday cake cover with that Ballon Sugar Bowl outside..hopefully I can make it perfectly as my plan. Thank you so much...
The sugar bowls are so cute
😊
Awesome well done I will make these right now.If you leave these clear you can make cupcakes and put these over them and they become Christmas snow globes. They can eat the entire thing. They are so cute for Christmas.
U probably wont know who I'm talking about
But imagine rob from thread banger
Trying to make this
Elysha Leheny I hope this would be a Man vs Corrine vs Pin, to see rob fail and see a good one made. But they're on vacation right now.
Elysha Leheny if no one knows who rob is, I don't know what to say
Elysha Leheny He'd find a way to cut his damn finger 😂
Elysha Leheny omg i freaking love threadbanger
This should be a man vs Corrine vs pin!
I was thinking the same thing lol
You know I don't know how I got to your channel but I'm glad I did. I like cooking but it's more of a hobby and not something I'd do as a profession. I just think watching your videos is satisfying.
What are the strongest days?
Saturday & Sunday; the rest are weekdays
Aiman Fatima you said what are the strongest days in a week
Lone Wolf You're right, I'm going to remove the "in a week"
Aiman Fatima you mean "weakdays" 😶?
What if you used a glass bowl as a mold for the sugar glass? Would that work? Given you spray it with non-stick spray, of course.
😆The reaction to that balloon popping is just priceless!!😆
Congrats on 3 million subs!! Your an amazing RUclipsr and I love all your videos. Are u going to do a 3million subs special???
i'm going to work on something this week & upload it soon :)
You look lovely Ann 😍
thanks so much, you're very kind :)
I like using honey in place of corn syrup then have some puffed rice with milk and cinnamon. The milk slowly gets sweetened with honey as the inside of the bowl dissolves.
Thank u so much for this my daughter is homeschooled and this looks like a fun experiment for her. Also to talk about why ur fails failed we will try it thank u!!!💚
they look awesome but can we add a flavor inside the mixture? so they can have taste beside sweetness? I love your videos
Hi lela yes you can add any essences I'll be doing that next time too.
Yaay! They will be more awesome if they can be! They look amazing more I look at them
Lela great idea!
😊
I never use any of these recipes. I just find it satisfying to watch
This looks so cool!! Such an amazing way to spice up a party! Love your videos! So close to 3 million!
Thanks Anny 😀
This is the first time i saw your face and your voice matches perfectly :o amazing
Hey!! i LOVE this recipe!! it makes for amazing cake topper pieces and you can make all sorts of shapes with it!! BUT the thing that made this recipe PERFECT was dusting your creation with citric acid immediately after you pour it (you can get it at sprouts, also try mixing it in, its melting point is 400 F tho so it wont melt)
I absolutely love this chanel 😃😃
You could make a candy fishbowl!
Wonderful!!! I will definitely be doing this for my grandbabies. Thanx so much!
I'd love to try this but am still scared this may pop? How did you protect yourself when pouring the hot sugar syrup on the balloons?
it was a bit scary ... the sugar liquid is very hot so we just poured and stepped back ... and squinted :)
Make sure you don't serve this to someone with latex allergies, but these are insanely beautiful
🌺🐝❤️Обалдеть!!!!! А я мучилась, не знала как сделать сферу из изомальта!!!! Вы сокровище!
Make sure you're NOT allergic to latex or rubber if you intend to make these or eat these
aww this crystal bowl is amazing wow!! :D I really want to make this recipe too :D
0:56 I'm laughing way too hard.
Flavoured sugar bowls sound fun and personalized for the dessert/person
"bro where are the bowls i need to eat my cereal"
*passes sugar bowl* "i gotchu bro"
aren't you worried that the balloon, with the heat, will drop some chemical that will poison your sugar ? (like the plastic containers with bisphenol, stuff like that)
So dont eat. Just use them to decorate or kinda that
They use balloons in culinary school and from what I’ve read online, you should be fine (unless you have a latex allergy.)
I believe that there are also balloons specifically made for cooking like this
yes like people with latex allergies...
