- Tony's friends and musical colleagues from Arrival and Kokomo, Dyan Birch, Paddy McHugh, and Frank Collins, lay-down backing vocals on a track for the upcoming album from Gary Fletcher. The album, produced by Bill Gautier, Pick Withers and Gary himself, is being recorded at Bill Gautier's studio in West London.
Frank, Dyan and Paddy began life in Liverpool, were 'discovered,' moved to London, and founded Arrival.
Arrival recorded Terry Reid's 'Friends' that became a UK and world hit for the group. This was followed by the hit 'I Will Survive,' written by Frank himself.
They have worked for, amongst many others, Ian Dury, Marc Bolan, Alvin Lee, Marianne Faithfull, Bryan Ferry, Terrence Trent D'Arby, Gloria Gaynor, Alison Moyet, B.B. King, and Bob Dylan.

Wow This is new to me, what a wonderful find, I love "I will survive" and it is one of my favorite songs but this is amazing
From a time when vocalists were REAL vocalists!
Gems.
The wonderful Kokomo Singers did B.V.s on our last album Boogie Street and lifted the whole thing.
Seen them evolve form the Excels to Arrival to Kokomo. So underrated at every step. Should have been huge

old age
I loved 'I Will Survive' and 'Friends' and heard Kokomo sing live at what must have been Pride '73 at Hyde Park Corner. Is Guy Fletcher related to Gary? I bought his single 'Mary In The Morning' on Philips in 1970?
