For those interested behind the track... 'The Flood' hits close to home: in 2022 the Northern Rivers of Australia were hit with biblical floods that put entire towns 2 stories underwater. Homes and lives were lost. The government didn’t declare disaster relief until weeks later, but the locals immediately took action to provide boats, blankets, food, water and support. During the community led cleanup we bumped into many friends (Winston being one of them) who were also helping transport supplies. There’s nothing more hopeful than people power stepping up when disaster hits. It felt fitting to tell this chaotic story together with Winston of Parkway Drive. Can't disagree here... Winston's vocals shows it's best potential in heavier genre's of metalcore like this. This is the path parkway drive should have followed imo
It's for sure the more unique and versatile version of IHW. I liked Kyle the bassist/clean vocalist, but they needed a change to truly evolve and I feel like Jake is one hell of a vocalist. He deserves more of the spotlight because he's awesome live and he has a lot more range than what he was able to showcase in their more "safe" songs.
