We went to the first show in Brisbane on Wednesday and to see Winston's smile not only whe they stepped up on the stage but the whole show, was genuinely something special to watch. As for the crowds... next level. My wife is 10 weeks pregnant and wasnt missing the show. We were on the floor for most of the show with about 8 random dudes keeping my wife and i protected from any unwanted bumps to mum or bubs.. It was an absolutely awesome show 🤘🤘
Congrats on the baby! Yeah I've seen them a few times as they've got bigger and as he says it is a memorable show I still remember them all. Last time we actually got seating tickets for a change (everyone was stood up anyway) but it was in an arena and we could see the whole production from slightly above and to stage right near the front. They really are a production not just a gig
Such a humble human being, Winston is in as much if not more awe of the amount of success that PWD as attained and seems to be not taking it for granted
@@TP-Vocals what would you call it then? he says himself in this clip that hes not a proper singer. They gave him time to explain exactly what hes about. theres worse interviews than this.
@@dbmusic4114 Screaming and screamo are two different things. Parkway uses screaming. Screamo is a specific genre of emo which Parkway Drive are definitely not.
Screamo? Parkway? I get that emo is kind of back in but that's not how I would categorise them. Winston's a delight. What a legend. Have seen PD a few times, but sadly couldn't catch these shows.
I saw Parkway in 2006 and have been hooked ever since. I see them whenever I get the chance and most recently was the show in Brisbane 6 days ago. To see where they are now compared to back in 2006 is so surreal. I can only imagine the pride they all have in what they've created. Needless to say I will be a Parkway fan, until I die, until I die. Loved the correction on the "metal terminology" I've seen it happen all too often where these journalists come in with the wrong information and nothing gets said. As trivial as it may seem THEY NEED TO KNOW!! :'D
Winston is the goat of heavy music in Australia from seeing them play small venues in Seaford and Melbourne to now selling out arenas and festivals around the world proud to rep the best band in the world
I remember seeing these guys at the arthouse in Melbourne playing to 50 people. I can't say it's really my thing but I would 100% go to that concert, looks EPIC!
Geez, if I were Winston, I'd be pretty insulted with the complete disregard or lack of respect these people are pretty much showing towards his profession that he has worked hard to strive in!!
It's not 'screamo', it's metalcore; however, I am glad to see Winston in the public eye. The show was incredible. Parkway are such figureheads in the Australian heavy music scene, and what he described about being around other people that feel like you is 100% why we're all there. It is the BEST community and culture to be around ❤️
wish I could go back to the days of them playing gigs under 1000 people. those were better experiences than what I went to last week. it also helps they played better music back then too
"I quite like metal but I've never seen one of them." You don't like metal my man. Winston 100% on the nature of the fanbase. Heavy metal fans are genuinely the best people.
The entire Parkway Drive and Destroy All Lines teams have worked tirelessly to deliver the most incredible show possible tonight in Sydney. nfortunately, due to production delays out of our control, The Ghost Inside and Void of Vision will not be taking the stage, Please show your love by buying a Tee and following them on their socials. Love from Parkway Drive.
Calling it screamo? I have not heard that in a while. Seriously, I had non metalhead friends call it that pre 2005! Maybe do research before inviting such a guest on.
The hosts are clueless about metal and Parkway, but Winston is a good sport and very polite.
It's the project...
@@MrBhunters I gave up on that show years ago.
I’m surprised THE PROJECT is still going. Those hosts are beyond cringe….
Winston - controlled chaos + the nicest people ever. 👍👍👍
well they are clueless about a lot of things, but at least they tried to be nice this time
That dude that said he liked metal but a circle pit confused him hahah
The only time I’ll ever watch this show is if Winston is on
agree
Only The Project would call it 'screamo'.

"Winston McCall tells us how he learned to do screamo" is so insulting
People who don't listen to metal have always labelled anything with screaming as "screamo". It's an easy term for them to use
The word "screamo" makes me cringe. Lol
there's an Australian Story clip where Winston ACTUALLY takes us through the process and why he started screaming. It's worth watching.
@@TP-Vocals what would you call it then? he says himself in this clip that hes not a proper singer. They gave him time to explain exactly what hes about. theres worse interviews than this.

It’s just a word everyone who is unfamiliar with it understands. Instead of saying “heavy metal vocalist” which could be confused with singing
Loved the show on Sunday night. Winston is a legend!

Great interview from Winston. Parkway Drive Forever!
Ohh yeahhh right richooo ya cheeky sausage ayyyy sneaking in here, get back to Twitch

He knows what to expect or else he wouldn't go on The Project.
At 4:00 you can hear him getting emotional 🥰 metalheads are the most genuine and caring people. Brisbane show was incredible!!!!
So proud of the boys !! Love ya pwd 🤘
I went on Monday and its definitely a show i wont forget and ive been to thousands of shows.
Winston is such a legend!
Screamo?

Wouldn't call pwd metalcore these days
@@morriemariani9646 exactly what I was thinking, it's more stadium dad rock these days and a bit of brocore chanting thrown in the mix
@@morriemariani9646 I agree with you, they have definitely changed with time. Still not 'screamo', though.
Loved the show in Brisbane
Get em' Winston ❤️🔥
Nicest guy in metalcore..was expecting a BLEUGHH tho

Winsty bring the metal mainstream! 😁👌
at least this was slightly better than the oli sykes interview 😭
2 us metalheads his basically royalty.
❤❤🤘🤘
"Screamo" omg. So clueless of metal in general. Great they had him on the show though, Parkway are an incredible band
The big man from Byron Bay 🔥
*metalcore
Can you guys do an interview with the New Linkin Park?
they did one with MIke Shinoda earlier this year
Screamo hahahahaha okay
Definitely not screamo
Screamo? lol. Gotta change that.
Once again, screamo is not a genre, the word you are looking for is metalcore
Imagine being this clueless about metal and interviewing a metal musician.
Calling it screamo is cringe and condescending

You think they’ll make it to Adelaide ?

Starting at 4:29, I love what he says about us fans in the crowd. It's can be so violent, but we all just want everyone to have a good time.
I’m not even a parkway fan, through no lack of trying. But calling them screamo? Yeesh
Screamo?

When I saw the title Screamo i Reacted 😭 It's like Calling every game console a "Game box or Nintendo"
Parkway Drive is now Screamo, ladies and gentlement :D
The only reason to watch a Project clip is to listen to the legend that is Winston.
All hail papa winston
Absolute king!
the best band ever
He's a legend
Been the best Aussie band for years
Now get Marcus from Northlane on the show
