Thank you for posting this!
Ernie Watts is such a great player in both tenor and alto. I'm wondering what brand that sax is. It looks like it is mixed with copper.
What. A. Line. Up!!
I just played with Ernie and it was amazing! Look at our video “With Ludwig van in Halong" @
"Jazz musicians never die, they just faaade away." John Birks G.
" Great !!!
If it can help the "versions" seekers :
1.Lover Man, by Brecker, Clarke and Erskine.
2.Slylark, by Watts, Kellaway, Clarke and Erskine.
3.Clarke, electric bass solo.
The Jazzvisions concerts were originally produced by the late Jack Lewis through Lorimar and originally released in Japan on LP and laserdisc.
Eric Gale was just so perfect. One of my favorite players ever.
thanks for this. please post the first song of the show and the mccoy tyner numbers as well.
I think the first song is already on someone else's video. I posted the Mc Coy Tyner numbers on a separate video.

Ernie play with a Yamaha Sax ?... also what brand is the mouthpiece ?
Mouthpiece Lawton
Does'nt look much like a hip jazz drummer, but wow, he is!
Ernie is on a whole different level. Stanley is no Paul Chambers. But the drummer is pleasing and the piano is a great.
Stanley is always in tune. Ha,ha!
‘Pleasing’ Peter Erskine…one of the worlds best I think you mean🙄
