I love when he explains the two steps: 31:45 "...you practice, and you practice...every day.. for the rest of your life...number two, when you go to perform..., you forget everything you practiced" and how the people laughs. Tremendous clinic Thank you forever, Master!
Ernie watts is a sax god, his discipline, his regime is incredible, you have to live & breath it proving you'll only get out what you put in. great video! :) If you have the time watch this video from start to finish its not just about #sax it's about #discipline #life. :) #LoveSAX.#passionateaboutSAX #everyoneneedsalittlesax
The questions were: - how did you get to your unique sound? - the melodism of your jazz solos - has it derived from your classical studies? - what about distinctions between jazz and classical phrasing? - what are your daily excercises? - while practicing scales and chords, do you consider the bars and the beats?
