- Today I share an update to my EDC for 2023. Join me for a first look at some brand new additions to my annual Every Day Carry video, and a few of my proven favorites. From my most-loved watches this year-including the Cartier Santos, Rolex Explorer, Panerai Luminor, Breitling Navitimer, Squale 1521, and several more-to high quality leather goods including the best passport holder, and cool new sunglasses from Persol, I cover a lot in this video. I've been reading MA's Meditations recently and I find it alot more relevant as an adult opposed to when I first attempted to read it as a teen. I would have never picked it up again had it not been for you. Thank you good sir.

As a highly sophisticated F-91W owner, my EDC consists of a cheese and onion Hula-Hoop (worn on my little finger) and a spork for self defence.
Welldone in reaching 40 TGV. Still looking very young for it. All those years looking after yourself really does pay off.
Nice update here! And I'm glad you brought up Persol, since (1) I've been thinking about a second pair of prescription frames, and (2) not only did I find frames that look the part for me (while watching you here), but they come in at a very reasonable price. Definitely keeping it classy.
Tale of Knifes; I have had mine for just two years but it is holding up well, the Multitool Pushup I use for work.

I always look forward to and enjoy your EDCs. There is always something new to learn and understand, alongside some great tips. Personally, I always have a small carabiner with me, countless times it has come in handy, for everything but climbing!

Great annual EDC as always sir. Great items. I agree about quality items and you don't have to spend a fortune. My favourite edc is a simple Parker metal jotter pen. Inexpensive but a little class when you need to write or sign something 🖊️. Enjoy the rest of your week

For the past couple of years I've used a couple of tech belts from Nanamica pretty often. It's a Japanese brand that does a lot of collabs with the Northface, I like their style. Basically it's a simple tactical d-ring belt made of Cordura, it looks minimalistic yet cool.

I recommend the Leatherman EDC sheath. It's very similar to your black torch/knife sheath. I'm very happy with mine as i'm a bit of a Leatherman fan.

I've learned so much from your videos. Just a few months ago I had no idea or standard in watches. I'd spent about a thousand dollars on 3 smart watches over the 3 years, but they became "disposable" or unusable due to "lack of features" or "being too slow" compared to newer models which cost even more than the previous generations.
Just recently, I bought my first mechanical watch (Hamilton Khaki Field King) and I am captivated! It opened up a world of appreciation that I never thought was necessary!

Persols were the go to sunglasses for 80s GQ spreads when you'd have to go to nyc, etc, to find something that stylish, and they are timeless.
Highly recommend Yellow Birch Outfitters PocKit for your EDC needs. It has become my daily wallet replacement holding cash and cards as well as a flashlight, pen, and small Swiss Army knife.
Opening up with a Seiko. I love it. A true Horologist and my favorite channel.

My go to EDC knife is usually an Italian indestructible wonder by Extrema Ratio : the mighty MF0D. It might look too "tactical" but the stealth design makes it so discreet that it's never too loud no matter what style I'm wearing and fits everything.

I have the Hitch and Timber Pocket Runt for my Space Pen and Victorinox ALOX knife... can't say enough good things about the quality of the item. They make EDC pocket slips in all sorts of sizes to fit your needs. Highly recommend!

2 years ago I bought one, and let me tell you (from a bookworm purist) it is the best piece of technology I have ever bought. It removes ALL baries from reading and lets you consume dozens of boks every year.
I am currently reading the 1400 page monster calles War and Peace :) and having that, in addition to the deluxe hard copy that stays at home, as a kindle version is amazing.
The new entry level 2022 is so small, thin and light that you can literally have in your fron pocket.
It is a part of my EDC that will always be there :)
Lol back in the day I used to rock two pinky rings. 😅now I usually wear one or a ring finger ring. That was life back in little Italy 🇮🇹 in The Bronx in the 90s and early 2000s. Like Pauly Walnuts said from the Sopranos a pinky ring is a way of life for Italians

Agreed - EDC is just as addictive as watch collecting - but I consider it an essential for a true gentleman. Best damn EDC is a good RUclips resource on the subject. Wow, the Olithica pendants are really cool - I've never really been into jewellery at all(until I started wearing a watch early last year) and most accessories don't really "pull" me but I really dig those pendants. Thanks for the video!
That belt was a great touch. You always rock some of the coolest stuff. You turned me on to Squale and I'll be going to Moyers this weekend to see what style suits me.
For EDC pocket organizers, my go-tos are Beard & Owl or Hitch & Timber. Both are great US-based makers who have wonderful products.
Your aesthetic is very refined, I would imagine this is due to an amazing art education. An appreciation for quality design and craftsmanship is appreciated across all cultures and times. Regarding knives, I really like Böker from Germany; they are very sharp and stay that way. In this Teutonic vein, I have an appreciation for German watches. But it will be just a longing wish for me to ever own even the least expensive A. Lange und Sönne, Saxonia. But again their design and craftsmanship is amazing. Keep up the good work, I always learn something new watching your videos. Tschöss.

Some of my favorite edc pens are from Karas Pens which are manufactured in Arizona. Also been enjoying the Benchmade Mini Freak in Carbon fiber lately, it is so light weight for the size. I do like Parker pens as well which I have branded for my business to give clients.
Nice update. If you like the Gerber Shard you should checkout the Chonk by them. Little smoother, with a pocket clip and a nice scale design.
Enjoyable video as always , but I was shocked to see the tang on that Cartier belt sticking out like that. Surely they could have notched the buckle, or bent the end of the tang so it doesn't catch on everything.
At last, the globe is spinning in the correct direction 😁. Some nice EDC kit there TGV.

Outstanding video.
Apart from the watches , I enjoyed your reviewing of your choice of tools as well as the jewelry and accessories. For when the event requires its good to know what one can wear as part of an ensemble. I liked the way you explained the historic jewelry and how it was made, the favored colors and what it represented.
Maybe one day for a summer time look an Egyptian inspired piece? Those people loved colors too.
Love those pairs of Persol sunglasses. My personal EDC is simple. An Amazon knockoff Ridge wallet, my watch, and my car key for most days. Happy belated birthday by the way!

I've been wearing mostly an Islander watch I designed myself that I modeled after the TAG Heuer Professional Night Diver (worn by Timothy Dalton in the Living Daylights), my knife is a simple French Opinel, my wallet is the Suited Racer x by Dents, the British glove maker, that's it. Cheers!
I personally recommend for your EDC is a hitch and timber pocket organizer or even the tale of knives belt organizers they are both great and highly recommended in the EDC world

I would recommend Anstaleather for pocket organizers. Handmade in Germany yet still fairly priced and it also patinas very nicely.

Hitch and timber makes awesome edc organizers in alll sizes. And you gave to try the benchmade bugout or we knives banter both are available in different colors and materials. But if you wear a lot of gentleman watches rings you need some titanium scale knive with amazing steel. There's so much available!! Love the channel 👍🏻

One Star Leather Goods makes a variety of pocket organizers in thin harness leathers that would fit the bill, I think. I've had one for my pocket knife and Fisher Bullet pen for 8 or so years now, and, aside from the patina of age, it's as good as the day I bought it.
If you want another flashlight I recommend the Fenix PD25, compact, bright and interchanging rechargeable batteries so you never have to worry about yours being dead. Great video as always!
