I've been reading MA's Meditations recently and I find it alot more relevant as an adult opposed to when I first attempted to read it as a teen. I would have never picked it up again had it not been for you. Thank you good sir.
So happy to hear that, it's always interesting to hear that. I wonder if I had read it as a teen, before growing up and going through so many trying times/situations and then reading it, may have been lost on me too perhaps? Thank you for sharing that. O&U! Best regards, TGV
@@theurbangentry,please discuss the chains in a video. I have not had much luck finding high quality gold chains from a reputable dealer that were not overly "fashion first."
Hi TGV, Belated Happy Birthday! I always enjoy the annual EDC videos. I still have my Persol's and Laguiole knives after all these years. Thanks to you for introducing the brands to me, not to mention all the watches in my collection. Enjoy your 40th! Best regards, John
Thank you John! Always makes me happy to see your name in the comments. As for your knife and sunglasses combo, pure class. I expected nothing less. Chin chin amico mio 😎🥂 My best regards to you and your family. TGV
As usual- lovely, charming, smooth to the eye and ear, informative yet no too digging. Your non exclusively horological vids are an extra delight! Thanks TGV 😊
Wowzers, my mind was blown when you saw the detail of the carving, and the stone you picked was superb, absolutely beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Something you should wear every day til your last. Too beautiful to be put in a box!
What a channel, what a person you are tgv! Everything you do has a meaning for you and you transmit your passion so well! Love your videos and your personality.
a great edc review with some truely anazing peices showing that touch of class .ill agree on persol sunglasses love my havanah / and black steve mcqueen specials , so comfy to wear
Hello TGV. Thank you for another amazing video. I recommend the Leatherman EDC sheath. It's very similar to your black torch/knife sheath. I'm very happy with mine as i'm a bit of a Leatherman fan. All the best.
About your tool sheath, I have a stitching pony and needles. I might be able to hand stitch it. You can also take it to a shoe repair place. It will cost as much as buying a new one, but they can fix it.
I always look forward to and enjoy your EDCs. There is always something new to learn and understand, alongside some great tips. Personally, I always have a small carabiner with me, countless times it has come in handy, for everything but climbing!
OG gentry here... I was waiting for the EDC update. It is always my favourite video :) You are definetly messing a Kindle. 2 years ago I bought one, and let me tell you (from a bookworm purist) it is the best piece of technology I have ever bought. It removes ALL baries from reading and lets you consume dozens of boks every year. I am currently reading the 1400 page monster calles War and Peace :) and having that, in addition to the deluxe hard copy that stays at home, as a kindle version is amazing. The new entry level 2022 is so small, thin and light that you can literally have in your fron pocket. It is a part of my EDC that will always be there :)
I've been following you since you've started. It's been almost 10 years now, 0 disappointments and lots of glasses of wine, coffees and enjoyment. Thank you! Cheers from Spain!
Thank you so much TGV for another wonderful and educational video! I wish you the best of luck and enjoyment with your new acquisitions. I hope they remind you of the people who gifted them to you with love as you wear them. Stay healthy and well as always! TGV, each and every video you make brings joy and happiness in its own way no matter the topic! Thank you again! (Nicholas) ❤❤❤👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🦖🦖🦖
I have been following your content for years and you are doing a good job. What is your shaving routine? A video about the products you use would be interesting. Ciao.
Worthy items for a 40th, many happy returns! Again this inspires me to revitalise the family crest and commission a signet ring or two. My brothers 40th is quickly approaching afterall... Hmm.
I've learned so much from your videos. Just a few months ago I had no idea or standard in watches. I'd spent about a thousand dollars on 3 smart watches over the 3 years, but they became "disposable" or unusable due to "lack of features" or "being too slow" compared to newer models which cost even more than the previous generations. Just recently, I bought my first mechanical watch (Hamilton Khaki Field King) and I am captivated! It opened up a world of appreciation that I never thought was necessary! Subscribed, and liking every video from you. Keep it up!
For the past couple of years I've used a couple of tech belts from Nanamica pretty often. It's a Japanese brand that does a lot of collabs with the Northface, I like their style. Basically it's a simple tactical d-ring belt made of Cordura, it looks minimalistic yet cool.
I have the Hitch and Timber Pocket Runt for my Space Pen and Victorinox ALOX knife... can't say enough good things about the quality of the item. They make EDC pocket slips in all sorts of sizes to fit your needs. Highly recommend!
Outstanding video. Apart from the watches , I enjoyed your reviewing of your choice of tools as well as the jewelry and accessories. For when the event requires its good to know what one can wear as part of an ensemble. I liked the way you explained the historic jewelry and how it was made, the favored colors and what it represented. Maybe one day for a summer time look an Egyptian inspired piece? Those people loved colors too.
I only have one notable every day carry. A Courts and Hackett silver skull ring, modelled on the same human skull used for their birthday present for Keith Richards which he is always seen wearing.
Enjoyable video as always , but I was shocked to see the tang on that Cartier belt sticking out like that. Surely they could have notched the buckle, or bent the end of the tang so it doesn't catch on everything.
I like etsy for leather goods. Just have to check the reviews but have had a lot of good experiences with edc stuff from there and get to support some small businesses
I have been watching your videos for years! Always a pleasure. My EDC recommendation is adding two micro pliers to your collection - a Knipex Pliers Wrench XS and Knipex Cobra XS, both cool and useful. Greetings from Berlin!
Love the EDC videos every year I apologize I don’t believe I commented on the last video but I want to make up for it and say Thankyou for the amazing content and have a great day
You should check out Strauss and Co Leatherwork. Outstanding craftsmanship and they make something similar to your EDC knife/torch pouch. On another note... What a beautiful pendant! I didn't even know that this was possible.
Fantastic update to the EDC, TGV. The Cartier belt is really unique! The Olithica pieces are incredible. Congratulations on the milestone. You have done well and will continue to go far. Onward and upward, my friend. Be well!
My go to EDC knife is usually an Italian indestructible wonder by Extrema Ratio : the mighty MF0D. It might look too "tactical" but the stealth design makes it so discreet that it's never too loud no matter what style I'm wearing and fits everything.
Great annual EDC as always sir. Great items. I agree about quality items and you don't have to spend a fortune. My favourite edc is a simple Parker metal jotter pen. Inexpensive but a little class when you need to write or sign something 🖊️. Enjoy the rest of your week
Thank you so much Chris, have a wonderful rest of the week too. As for the Parker, I could not agree more! I could not have said it better myself, inexpensive but so much class. O&U! Best regards, TGV
Some of my favorite edc pens are from Karas Pens which are manufactured in Arizona. Also been enjoying the Benchmade Mini Freak in Carbon fiber lately, it is so light weight for the size. I do like Parker pens as well which I have branded for my business to give clients.
I personally recommend for your EDC is a hitch and timber pocket organizer or even the tale of knives belt organizers they are both great and highly recommended in the EDC world
Beautiful pendant TGV! And I second making a video about chains, your expertise, advice and film editing skills are very needed in the topic imo. Cheers!

Hitch and Timber for the sheath. Excellent quality and hand made.

There's a cool tranquility in so many of your videos. Love the Cartier belt.
Tale of Knifes; I have had mine for just two years but it is holding up well, the Multitool Pushup I use for work.
That pendant is unbelievable. Cheers to 40, and to a great mile marker to carry along!
a great edc review with some truely anazing peices showing that touch of class .ill agree on persol sunglasses love my havanah / and black steve mcqueen specials , so comfy to wear
As always, Pure Class. Love the pendant! wow
Living in Philly I’d imagine you’d throw a Glock into the EDC mix.
I would also agree👍
Smith & Wesson would be even better 😜
✌🏼😎👍🏼
Glock is def the Casio of the handgun world
HK would be so much more "Gentry." Or a Beretta with custom TGV grips. Or an old Webley. At least something classy. 😎
It would be blocked/demonetized on RUclips
Great video TGV, like always! Thank you for the relaxing video made to watch with morning cofee 😅 🇷🇴🫶

Welldone in reaching 40 TGV. Still looking very young for it. All those years looking after yourself really does pay off.
Fantastic EDC update, as always. We hope you enjoy wearing the pendant as much as we did making it!
I love all the detail you go into about each item. Great Vid TGV!!!
Great video as always T, belated happy birthday! That pendant is stunning!
The belt is GORGEOUS 🎉
Fascinating video. I love my little gadgets, so love these EDC videos. So fascinated by the engravings. Really amazing work.
