Hi friends! I'm so excited to share this living room makeover with you! I really wanted a different color with a little more drama in my living room, but not anything as dark as the gray I had last year, so I searched pinterest (linked below) for all kinds of inspiration and decided pink was the color for me! It was not easy to find the right shade, but with a little trial and error, I found the right one for my room.
I love this room so much, and it just feels happy!

❤❤❤ your living room even more wearing its new color!!! Like you, I've been a life long pink lover (except in my early twenties, when I was briefly not). I'm so excited and pleased for you; finding the right pink is such a challenge!! You really knocked it out of the park finding such a gorgeous hue, Anita!!💖 I love European decor, too, particularly due to the beautiful color choices chosen in the UK. We have really been enjoying a tv show called Escape to the Country, where folks look for housing in England, Scotland, Wales, when leaving the city life behind.
Sadly we failed to find an appropriate pink to work in our dining space where there is a lack of light during part of the day. So we enjoy the gorgeous skies - pink and coral along with every other color our Lord paints His sky - through those windows, as well as the living room over-sized picture window!!! I've decorated with plenty of pink florals, so that satisfies my pink longing in the main part of the house. Add the pink accent pillows on our softly colored floral couch in the living room, plus pink candles, as well as a 16x20" framed photo featuring two pink flowers from our daughter's window box ( hung on her wood fence gate), and I'm happily "in the pink"☺.
I do enjoy pink in our master bath, though the same color does not work in our bedroom - kind of falls flat! So we will soon change that room with the addition of leftover wallpaper we both love! Now out of production, we have enough from our previous home to paper above a chair rail in the Master 💖. . . makes me so pleased to think of the change yet to come ☺.

Thank you so much Susan! Isn’t it funny how a color can look so different? I have a color in the hall bathroom I absolutely love, but in my living room it just looked beige. Yes fabrics are always a great way to incorporate a favorite color too, and the wallpaper sounds fabulous!

Oh Anita, this is just sooo beautiful! I can only imagine what it looks like in person! 😍 That's one thing I love about Europeans and their colors...they actually opt for colors over neutrals. Even though neutrals can have their own beauty, I've seen several people becoming tired of the white & beige theme in their homes, and opting for more color, which is a great thing! This pink has captured a new level of beauty in your LR, which is hard to do, b/c it's already one of my favorite rooms in your house. Now I'm off to read your blog post and pin your pinks! Once again thank you for BOTH your video and your blog post! I know it must take lots of work but is a joy to read and ponder. I think this is the prettiest your living room has ever been. Love pink and I have it in several rooms in my home. You are right, the light makes such a difference. My living room is a pale beige color but after painting it discovered in lamp light it looks pale pink! Good thing I love pink. Lol your mom's rose pictures are perfect. I have a small o e in my living room that a friend of mine painted. I knew there was a glorious God when as a little girl I looked at rose and my mom showed me the tiny seed from whence it grew! Only God could create such a miracle. Have a blessed day and enjoy that comfy and peaceful room. Love Lin 🌹

I didn’t think I would like a pink room, but after you got the right shade of pink…..I love it. 💕
It was definitely not easy, but it works in the light I have here☺️ I tried the same paint on another wall where the piano is and didn’t like it there so it’s definitely more light dependent that other colors seem to be☺️☺️
I have been going through a similar situation in my LR trying to find a white to go with some lovely blush velvet drapes. I am not changing those drapes any time soon! I love them and can’t afford to change. But what an ordeal finding paint that “goes” with them. They are called “cashmere” in color but are more pale blush than what the first appeared. Finding a paint that has no yellow, orange or blue undertones is really hard. I “think” I have settled on a Behr paint called Bleached Linen. Seems to have the right amount of pink undertones without looking like a baby pink bedrooms. Who would think paint color could be so hard and time consuming!!!
Oh yes I can totally relate to that! And in every room a paint will look different. My favorite lightest gray/white, looks great in every room except my girls’ bedroom. I tried it in there, and it looked green so I had to find a different color. It’s amazing how light and the sheen of the paint can really change how a color looks☺️☺️☺️
I was going to say I have a blush pink color in my hall bathroom but if you hold that swatch up to anything else it looks off-white. So that can definitely be a hard one to find🙏🙏
Anita I to don't like color but your room turned out beautiful. I do have a thought though..... Since you have white lace curtains, what would the deep red or red runner on your mantle be changed to a white runner instead and maybe that would break up some of the darker colors. Personally I think it would make that room really pop so what do you think? Interested to know and see... Your room is very pretty!
I love the darker colors together and very specifically left the velvet runner on the mantel☺️ It’s a very classic color combination, and I think it suits the formality of the room where white would not. I actually did think about the cream crocheted runner I have but it just made it less formal and I really wanted that dark, rich look☺️
