This is one of the best fly tying channels I’ve found on RUclips. Thanks for the quality content. I’ve been tying a lot of these patterns.

You can thank my childhood fishing buddy "Sandy" for the suggestion. Already subbed last night. You have a new fan! Beautiful work. World class flies bro. You are truly an artist. The fish tank is mesmerizing!!!! 😜👌

Nice tie and edit, Mike! I forgot you’re a lefty so it took a second to adjust for the over the shoulder shots.

Very nice instructional video. Wish this video had been available when I was first experimenting with tying flat wings. It would have saved a lot of missteps. Well done.

This is a great video and a great fly. I am new to fly tying but was able to create a reasonable variation which worked great.

Really love the videos. Been getting back into tying my own flies and teaser. On a side note. I just purchased a Sterling 5HH Stingray a couple of months ago. Tight line!!!

Beautiful tie. I am unfortunately a long way from striper fishing in Germany. But there is hopefully light at the end of the tunnel. I am planning to fish Sardinia, travel regs permitting, end of September beginning of October. There are some fish that are probably familiar to you like bluefish and allies and the European seabass is quite close to stripers. So I am back into tying delivers, deep minnows and such. The sandeel comes in handy.

I've caught fish very similar if not the same as bluefish off Turkey in the Mediterranean sea. Fun fishing out there, good luck on your trip!

Mike, love the videos and great tie! Quick question hopefully you may be able to help - I tied a similar fly to this and left it in a solo cup in my car as transport without my fly box. It sat in a hot car for a couple days and now the feather and bucktail are bent and curled at the tail. Can I run hot water on this to get back to regular stay?

Ya you should be able to wet it and hang to dry, that should help, or fish it some it should straighten back out. I'm terrible with throwing flies in bag or on my boat so it happens all the time to me.
