Also, I wanted to say that your remix of "Away Without You" by Sonic Element is one of the most influential uplifting trance track that I've ever heard. I think that track is essential to what uplifting trance is. Under the definition of Uplifting Trance this track should be mandatory as an example of a perfect representation of the genre.
Every single time I listen to it, it's a new journey. There isn't a single other track that does this to me. Usually when I listen to something I know where I go, but not with this one. Every single time it takes me elsewhere. That track improved me spiritually, it elevated me, it inspired me. I don't think I'll ever stop being mesmerized while listening to it. What kind of a human being, what kind of a soul can create something like that? This is the question that arises in my mind when I listen to it.

It's amazing that it does that to you! Other pieces I have made do something similar for me, so it definitely depends on the individual and what they really connect with. At that point in my musical life, I wasn't putting any intention into the music for spiritual healing or anything like that, so it seems like it was a bit ahead of its time.

Sorry to hear about your current situation. Unfortunately the cost of living is insane and is suffocating many of us. To be creative in this fast materialistic world is a constant balancing act, a fight and a struggle. Especially in the US where you might even get blamed for being in a tough spot rather than helped.
Ditching the lables may be the best move for you and your creative freedom. I think lables are outdated anyway.

Yea, I feel a lot of people are going through something similar, which is why I feel like we are actually on a fucking slave planet trying to break free from this insanity. Movies like The Matrix have been telling us this shit for a very long time. Labels are part of the problem too, break away from their existing bullshit and you are free to do whatever you want. That's where I am at! I fucked my own reputation and stepped away from the music industry to get to a point where I don't really give a fuck about them liking me or not. I'm just here to do my own thing, my way, without trying to race or compete.

Thank you for all the love, and sending it right back at ya! I can definitely say that I have missed being myself, but now I am more myself than ever before, which is an interesting way of seeing things. I'm looking forward to music being a much bigger part of my life once more. There's a lot to be expressed and felt.

I resonate with a lot of what you said in this video. Thanks for having the courage to be honest with yourself and those around you / your fans. It's hard to be creative on this planet sometimes when the western world has turned everything into a "product" and the fact that we need money / resources to survive, and only then do we have the chance to use the remaining energy to create.
Just know this though, when the time comes for you to leave this vessel, you put more good back into the world then there was to begin with. Trust in the Universe (yourself). It will all make sense in time. Peace. - JD

I'm glad that the video resonates with you, I feel like a lot of the shit I was going through is being felt by someone else in the world. This stuff needs to be talked about, instead of pushed under the rug and ignored. Stepping away from the industry was a very freeing experience, cause now I can say whatever the fuck I want about it without being scared that it will "hurt my career"! I'm not interested in what the industry is doing, I'm here to do my own thing. Everyone is welcome to be part of this new journey.

Ah man, that's really nice to hear! I believe that a lot of creatives have that "not good enough" belief system somewhere deep in their subconscious. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people in general were going through something like that. It doesn't help when the music industry manipulates artists into believing that they aren't good enough to own their music, or not good enough to get paid a fair amount of money, or whatever else. It's sad that it was normalized, and people continue to believe that this is okay.

It's incredible and very meaningful to hear your story and what you've been through. I always felt like you're the most underrated producer ever and every song I ever heard from you felt like a refreshing experience every time even though I discovered you very late in 2021. I understand that your music comes from a deep creative state & I can see why you've been inactive for long. We believe in you Thomas and your music has helped me in a lot of dark times in life and for that I'll support you forever. Thank you for sharing buddy and may all that is best in life come to you soon!

    • @ThomasDatt

I appreciate your words. There's something to be said about going into darkness and coming out of it. This kind of shit has been talked about for years and years. Some of the greatest teachings in human history talk about this sort of stuff, but you don't really know it's happening until you go through it. Plus you can read all about it, and still not be ready for when it hits. Very different experience being in it, than just reading about it. I feel like a lot of humanity may get stuck in the darkness and never get out, it's very easy to just stay there because its familiar and in a way comfortable, even if it does suck.
Can you imagine what my future music will be like when I start tapping into this stuff? I'm not there yet, but it will surely be transformative to say the least :)

I have always loved your music and felt your productions were Top 1%. Oakenfold always played your tracks on his podcast and that speaks volumes. Remember, the Light comes from The Father. The False Light comes from The Mother. Life...True Life is Spirit and Truth. Use your Inheritance to serve Righteousness & Truth and be set free. II Corinthians 4:3-4

I'm happy to hear you love the music, and I did very much enjoy all the support from Oakenfold back in the day. Who knows what will happen in the coming years? For me, my light was hidden deep inside. In order to get to it, I had to face my shadow and darkness, and become one with both. Accepting the shadow is one of the most challenging things to do in this lifetime.

Thank you! I'm glad you love the track. I found that especially towards the end of that part of my life, the music I was creating was definitely telling deeper and longer stories. That's something I am very much looking forward to doing again, telling stories, not just with music but also visually - just like with The Cosmic Phenomnon.

    Hi Thomas!
Me personally at the time since you mentioned you don't like any of the remixes..I like the Sean Tyas Unabridged remix the most. Followed by Robert Nicksons take on it.
Well..for this reason is Tyas's was such banging energy for me don't know how to describe but it just flowed really well..Nicksons was little behind but also solid.
Would be interesting to know what you didn't like in them from yiur point of view. But offcourse if your vision of remix was always in completely other direction is understadable..with respect to the artist as yourself.🙏

My dislike of 2v2 has been publicly talked about numerous times, and to focus on that again is not something I want to put my energy towards. I feel like that was the least important part of the video.
However, if you'd like to dive deeper into my thoughts on 2v2 then I suggest you watch this video - ruclips.net/video/ZRG-oomlUt0/видео.htmlsi=ogPMWH6W0dguObes
