    I love this!! My youngest of 19 is now in her 2 semester of college. As a single mom I was committed to raising my children. ! I’ve been single and celibate for 7 years and wanting a relationship. . However, I know realize I wasn’t celebrating, enjoying or dating myself. Now that I realize this, I’m enjoying my space and time. I’m also getting out and meeting people. My outlook is different and life is enjoyable. Thank you.

    Awww, you guys are adorable. I just became a new subscriber.... yay!! Amen and thank you so so much for putting yourselves out there like that. We heard about “celibacy “ and how it was a trend a few years ago, then it was a “90 days rule, make him wait a few months, yada yada yada, “waiting is too difficult..” and all these mixed messages and opinions coming from left and right; up and down. Now you all and the Franklins are celebrating “Waiting for Marriage “ and courting and standing firmly on your faith and @ Bre “finding our Boaz” or “lobster.” Loved that metaphor and loved how your fiancé supported on you this and also added on by saying, “Dont settle or come into a relationship unwhole.” Powerful. And thank you Bre for addressing the “absent father,” same here. Being cheated on... yes that is my story too. Much continued success to y’all and I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
    Please subscribe to my page as well.
    I’m going to share this in Facebook and Instagram. Thank you so so much and congratulations on finding each other any being led by God to each other.

    Hi, I actually liked the fish and lobster analogy! Dre was preaching towards the end. I also used the same analogy with my lobster as we both continue to be completely open about our past (rather platonic or romantic relationships) and future together.

    Love love loved this! I’m 21 years old and single. Just starting to fully understand the importance of waiting and getting myself together first! But how do you balance building and growing yourself while not confusing that with trying to be 100% perfect to feel like you’re ready?

    • @relationshiprestored5016
      @relationshiprestored5016  6 лет назад +19

      That is a GREAT question! Personally speaking, (this is Bre lol) I think its important to first understand you are not perfect and no matter how hard you try, you will never be perfect. Which is great because perfect is too high of a standard. First acknowledging that you want to grow and build as a person will allow you to work on you. I wasn't "ready" when I met Dre but he played whatever role he needed to until the only role that was left was my "man" He was a friend, a shoulder to cry on, a punching bag, a sound board, a mirror. He helped me grow and build on my own because he was helping to be a better bre not a better girlfriend. Once I was able to be balanced on my own, he asked me to be in a relationship with him. So I think the right man will see your potential and he will know when your ready. I hope this helped girly! xoxo

    Listen I’m a new subscriber!! This is amazing. Thank you I needed this . In fact I related to this so much because that’s exactly how I found my soulmate. He was the lobster and I was still a fish. But I’m becoming a lobster more and more as these months are coming and I feel great. I CAN wait for my lobster only because I know there is still more I need to get done but it’s coming!! 😊

    Very nice first episode!!! I am happy to see young couples expressing their knowledge of relationships and love. I am proud of yall!! I found my lobster 18-years ago and we married 11-year ago. "Dre", What you spoke about how marriage is a permanent situation are facts. As Dre could tell you Bre, (we are his cousins) I have cancer and my husband has remained strong and by my side without hesitation, but before cancer, growing up together from age 15 years old we have been through lots of life transitions. It takes Lobsters to swin all over the sea together vs fish who stay in one location and swim with other flocks of fish. Growing together is key and you guys deciding to wait is awesome!! Also a side fact about Lobster (Im in medicine), they are so heart healthy with lots of omega 3 fatty acids. So Lobsters taste good, are high quality, and are great for your heart :) Ill be watching this series.

    I just found this channel...you two are super dope and beautiful. I go back and forth about waiting. When I dabble in meeting those fish desires lol it's like a brick wall in between me and the fish. It's quite odd but clear as day. WAIT.. BE PATIENT....That fish is NOT your Boaz. Period. Thanks for being a positive inspiration.

    How do we get to that place tho of being whole and comfortable in our singleness? I’ve been struggle for some time now with being alone and whenever I see an old fling, I get all these urges and temptations to hit them up (and I don’t hit them up but the urges are SUPER STRONG and I end up doing things pleasing myself which is wrong☹️) what should I do to get to that place of wholeness and being okay with being single?

    I am 23, waiting for marriage but I have never been in a relationship. Also, I currently in college.
    How do you know “you got yourself together” even though you never been in a relationship

    • @relationshiprestored5016
      @relationshiprestored5016  6 лет назад +3

      Hey Robin! Thanks for your comment! We definitely feel that "having yourself together" has nothing to do with whether or not you have been in a relationship before. Having yourself together is about your mindset and knowing what you want. The questions you have to ask yourself is, Who am I? What do I want out of life? What are my goals? What type of person do I want to spend my life with? What morals and characteristics do I want them to have? If you know these answers then you will be able to go about a relationship the right way. You never being in a relationship just means that you have the emotional baggage or trust issues that most people have when they come out of a relationship. You are in a great place to make sure when the time comes for you to be in a relationship, that you go about it the right way! Thats super dope!! Stay in school!!!! lol - Hope this helps

    Hi me and my boyfriend we are going on a year now in October and I’m so happy Breanna followed me on Instagram cause me and my boyfriend was saying they need more couples to talk about this type of stuff, but my question is....
    So me and my bf kinda rushed into getting together we kinda had both just got out of a relationship we talk about everything so we both agreed we did but we watch couples like u and we even have are own. RUclips channel we read books and we know where we need help at individually will I really don’t honestly (Carly). I don’t know who my dad is but it doesn’t bother me that much well I don’t think it dose ,
    so my question is do u think we should stay together and work together threw are issues or do u think it’s best we just kinda brake up and work them out cause we talk about marriage everyday we are dating to be married and we are trynna to wait to have sex no we haven’t been perfect but we are trying are hardest cause my sister is always saying we need to be emotionally healed and we can’t be together while that is happening So what do you suggest?
