As I Am : It’s about both. Often people believe they have to sacrifice chemistry and attraction to get a “good” spouse in the practical sense. In reality it’s a bad notion and frequently leads to unhappiness and marital failure. Marriage is a practical and socioeconomic arrangement BUT it’s also a romantic/sexual relationship. Good sexual chemistry won’t save a poor match, but bad or no sexual chemistry will definitely spoil a good match.
I am thinking about the same thing. I know God is telling me that he wants me to focus on Him and only Him, not to idolize my partner or anyone before Him. I asked God for guidance to follow his will and I am going to do it! ❤❤ but I gotta break the chain in order to get there
Last person I dated: "I will respect your abstinence." Nah, bruh. You have to do more than "respect my abstinence." As long as you're with me, it's OUR abstinence. You respecting MY abstinence can mean anything: you won't force yourself on me or try to make me give in, okay. But what are you going to be doing while respecting my desire to remain pure? Right on time. I just cut off a guy that “looked the part” (degree, well spoken, in shape, seems to have a bright future but is currently unemployed but seeking employment, seemed like a good guy); my spirit grieved the entire month of me hanging with him. I eventually just let it go and is moving forward. He lacked all these listed but again “looked” the part on paper! Could only lead me to a king size bed, literally. Thank God for self control and the faith to walk away!!! The enemy got a little clever but thank GOD for the Holy Spirit at work in my life!! Hallelujah!!!
What’s crazy is I had a similar situation. Me and this gentlemen were in a relationship. He was a great guy, but he lacked the spiritual relationship that I needed him to have in order to feel secure and willing to open myself up completely to him. It was difficult because I wanted him to have that relationship for himself, and I wanted us to stay together. However, I knew that I had to be obedient to God, and that meant I had to sacrifice that relationship, even though it was difficult. I hope and pray someday he finds that relationship for himself. I cared more about his spiritual well-being as well as my own than us staying in a relationship.

This video confirmed that I'm doing the right thing in standing for my relationship. He is doing all of these things for me, and he recently decided we needed a break because I was not growing in Christ. We have been in contact and are trying to slowly build a godly friendship with no further expectations. We have been together for 6 years, I was a "Christian" but he recently found Christ and had been trying to help me grow. I was reluctant to change due to my pride, and I had no idea what a bad road I was on until he opened my eyes. I love this man deeply and I know he is the husband that God made for me.

I made the mistake as a new convert of marrying a man I thought was save cuz he was attending Church. The marriage was strange, creepy and confusing but he throw in a lil nice sometimes to throw me off mixing with the wolf like behavior. Me being Christian so blind as I thought he was my husband and ever so patient and forgiving. Once he was in a position when he could fully be himself the teeth and the fangs came out he became fully wolf almost killing me spiritually with the aim of finishing me physically. By the grace of God it didn't work. Take time out and patience to get to know someone. Make sure they save and into the things of Jesus Christ or else you could easily lose your life running down a fairytale and a shiny ring. Be not equally yolk with unbelievers is so true not cuz attending Church and participating in Church doesnt mean they are following Christ. People pretend well, seek the confirmation of the Lord Jesus Christ with every decision. Divorce is a nasty process and death is even worst.

Wow, wow, and wow. This came to me at a time that I really needed it!! I recently met a man and we began getting to know each other. From the very beginning I shared my desire to remain pure until marriage. He pretended to understand and by all mean looked good on paper... as time went on, it became clear that all he was interested in was leading me to the king size bed, smh. I started feeling like a failure because yet again I have met someone who is not it... Today I went to church and prayed to God to accept His will for my life... when I came home, I opened RUclips and saw this video in my recommended. i do think that god sent him to save me, when this man did something for me and I realized how much value he made me have; just before he came along I thought about killing myself and when I would do it, I was in a deep depression just a few weeks with him changed my mind, I can never thank him more no matter how much we drift apart, he gave me my life back and I don't think I'd be writing this comment if it weren't for him.

Right on time. I just cut off a guy that “looked the part” (degree, well spoken, in shape, seems to have a bright future but is currently unemployed but seeking employment, seemed like a good guy); my spirit grieved the entire month of me hanging with him. I eventually just let it go and is moving forward. He lacked all these listed but again “looked” the part on paper! Could only lead me to a king size bed, literally. What’s crazy is I had a similar situation. Me and this gentlemen were in a relationship. He was a great guy, but he lacked the spiritual relationship that I needed him to have in order to feel secure and willing to open myself up completely to him. It was difficult because I wanted him to have that relationship for himself, and I wanted us to stay together. However, I knew that I had to be obedient to God, and that meant I had to sacrifice that relationship, even though it was difficult. I hope and pray someday he finds that relationship for himself. I cared more about his spiritual well-being as well as my own than us staying in a relationship.

I made the mistake as a new convert of marrying a man I thought was save cuz he was attending Church. The marriage was strange, creepy and confusing but he throw in a lil nice sometimes to throw me off mixing with the wolf like behavior. Me being Christian so blind as I thought he was my husband and ever so patient and forgiving. Once he was in a position when he could fully be himself the teeth and the fangs came out he became fully wolf almost killing me spiritually with the aim of finishing me physically. By the grace of God it didn't work. Take time out and patience to get to know someone. Make sure they save and into the things of Jesus Christ or else you could easily lose your life running down a fairytale and a shiny ring. Be not equally yolk with unbelievers is so true not cuz attending Church and participating in Church doesnt mean they are following Christ. People pretend well, seek the confirmation of the Lord Jesus Christ with every decision. Divorce is a nasty process and death is even worst.

Wow, wow, and wow. This came to me at a time that I really needed it!! I recently met a man and we began getting to know each other. From the very beginning I shared my desire to remain pure until marriage. He pretended to understand and by all mean looked good on paper... as time went on, it became clear that all he was interested in was leading me to the king size bed, smh. I started feeling like a failure because yet again I have met someone who is not it... i do think that god sent him to save me, when this man did something for me and I realized how much value he made me have; just before he came along I thought about killing myself and when I would do it, I was in a deep depression just a few weeks with him changed my mind, I can never thank him more no matter how much we drift apart, he gave me my life back and I don't think I'd be writing this comment if it weren't for him.
