- This is an up to date Guild Wars 2 guide covering everything you need to know about the Reaper, which is an elite specialization of the Necromancer. This video shows off all of the weapons the Reaper can use and looks at all of the individual weapon skills. It also has a look at all of the healing, utility & elite skills the Reaper has at it's disposal. It then goes on to look at the elite specialization for the Reaper and what each individual trait does for your character. The video finishes with a short combat demonstration with a basic Reaper build so you can see what it looks like when it all comes together.

hello , im kinda new (1 month old) but im confused about Necro (Reaper) or Ranger (Soulbeast) I want to choose one and play it all the time. which one would you suggest me to choose? (PvE and PvP but mostly PvE)
Hey man, those are both good options but I would lean towards the Reaper as it is a lot of fun to play and very good for beginners. It will allow you to be pretty powerful without too much experience. Honestly though, the class that you think will be your main one, never normally works out like that but it's definitely worth a go ☺️ the soulbeast is a really cool idea as well though so perhaps go for that if you don't get on too well with the Reaper ☺️
@@HeroicFlamingo The Necromancer's possibilities are limited and it feels like he will always do the same things, so I think maybe I'll get bored in the future. What is your opinion on this?
You raise a fair point, the simplicity of the Necros mechanics could become a negative. However, I would always recommend that you have more than one character to play as to keep things interesting. If you're doing something like playing through the story, the simplicity of the mechanics can be a bit of a blessing though as it allows you to focus on the story without worrying too much 😊

Where is this place you practicing on? Can I go here with my trial lvl 80 boost? I want to try classes before using the boost. Cheers👍
You certainly can! You'll be able to try out any class or spec without using your boost 😃 it is the Heart of the Mists which you can access by going to your PvP menu and choosing to enter the PvP lobby 😊 in that area there is a combat training area where you can test everything out!

That's a good question! If it's a class you enjoy and you want to be one of your main classes I would recommend levelling organically as you will get a greater understanding of the class and character. I would use the boost on a class that you don't want to bother levelling but still want to play it at end game 😊

That's awesome man! If you want to be a Reaper at a later date, you will need to buy the expansions 😃 my character is a Norn

So wait you only using greatsword and nothing else? Is this viable for pvp?
This video is specifically for The Reaper specialization so only shows off the weapons and skills specific to that specialization 😃 no 1 weapon build is viable in PvP to my knowledge!

I'm confused aboutthe Reaper shroud 5 skill. It says it's really powerful, and you claim itis really powerful, but the damage is listed as 1/10th that of the others. The damage you actually did to the Golem when you demonstrated it was 7. What's happening there?
It's powerful as it does more damage the less health the enemy has and also chills and stuns the enemy as well as leaving behind an ice field as well 😊
the more low HP enemy is the more damage it will deal also it leave be hide ice combo field which you can using combo finisher from Shroud skill 2 and 4 to deal lots of damage
My only problem with reaper. I have to get level 80 and then get a shot ton of hero points to play it lol
does necromancer hard for beginner? i mean for starter?
The Necromancer is a very good class for beginners as you can be quite powerful and hard to kill without having too much experience in the game 😊
