- This is an up to date Guild Wars 2 guide covering everything you need to know about the Harbinger, which is an elite specialization of the Necromancer. This video shows off all of the weapons the Harbinger can use and looks at all of the individual weapon skills. It also has a look at all of the healing, utility & elite skills the Harbinger has at it's disposal. It then goes on to look at the elite specialization for the Harbinger and what each individual trait does for your character. The video finishes with a short combat demonstration with a basic Harbinger build so you can see what it looks like when it all comes together.

i reaaaaaally like this class. I pretty much exclusively use reaper cause i wanted a death knight, plague knight type of character. but i think this is a spec that'll finally change my character. such a dope theme.
I'm a necro main, but I dabbled in dual pistol elixir engi.... this is like everything I wanted.
Looking forward to the best build version of these! It seems the new classes seem to bring loads of negatives !

So it's not as bad as it seems. The maximum amount of blight you can have is 25 and that comes to 50%health so if you are playing around the fact that you are at full stacks of blight then the heal works fine and can top off your blight as well in a pinch. Situational? Yes! Useless? Absolutely not

I think it is a perfect mix of reaper and scourge. I really like the idea of a passive aura effect while in shroud. I don't really like the idea of elixirs, but I think it can be ignored, because you get blight from shroud anyways. if the penalty is worth it is a different cup of tea, but I really like the idea, because similiar to bladesworn that seems to be inspired by dmc this seems to be inspired by ds, which fits the profession.
love how chill and relaxed your videos are, the slower speed allows a lot more detail in the new specs to be shown that a lot of videos completely gloss over

Idk I feel like they ran out of ideas for Necro ...the other two specialisations are way cooler imo
I agree that it doesn't sound too exciting and the elixir skills are a bit boring but when you play it, it actually does feel really good to play and it is very versatile with the types of builds you can utilise it for ☺️ certainly not groundbreaking but I suppose not all of them can be!
The Shroud form is good, the rest is meh

the elite elixer seems really bad. 5s of really really awesome buffs for 25s of -20% less health? i think not.

You can try it out now in the beta but it will be coming out with the End of Dragons expansion in February 😃
Not sure what the purpose of life force drain is while in shroud, other than damage to enemies. It does not replenish the shroud, as seen in your animation, nor does it restore HP.

Aside from the pistol which we can always just not use it looks fun to play. I get the complains about elixirs but let's not act like we use the utility skills of the elite specs a lot anyway.. Remember reaper has shouts? Xd

You mean necroes don't have unlimited health already? ANet loves these fuckers, they get like 5 health bars per most classes 1. A stroke victim could tank 3 enemies in pvp with a necromancer🤣
