I use a siphon hose that has a brass ball on one end that you shake and it creates the flow

I just bought one but haven't used it yet. I am very glad to hear that you find it useful. I hate, hate, hate those new EPA approved nozzles which are far worse for the environment than what they replaced. That's because everyone I know has spilled more gas with the new nozzles than the old, "terrible, environment-ruining" nozzles.

You are right. They don't know how to make gas cans anymore.

Bought an older neighbor one of these (the guy who has everything tool-wise) and he was absolutely wild about it. Loved the thing. Was getting too old and weak to wrestle with the same spouts you described.

That "fan thing" on the bottom that pumps the fuel is called an impeller.

hmm i use tiny lifepo4 AAs and AAA's around the house, theyre 3.2v but are rechargable and last forever. about the same energy density as alkaline, you just have to charge them manually with a power supply and use spacers for most electronics since theyre double the voltage. thinking i might be able to get away using them without a spacer in one of these pumps and just have it run at 6v instead of ~4v that fresh AA's run at. should be able to fill my cars tank from ground level that way

Scared to use a battery/electric sparking device for gasoline. Diesel and kerosene, yes. I know many use it for gas.

They just dont make em like they used to! Pump, pump, pump it up!

Just so you aren't too surprised or disappointed, but it works ok to siphon liquids, but it will not work against a head pressure (when the liquid supply is lower than the place you want to fill). It is a powered siphon, not a pump.

Did you have to remove a plastic piece out of the can?

Hi...I bought one...it was nice using at the first time...but next time it wasn't pulling the fuel from the gallon...is it if I was keeping the gallon below (lower level to) the filling tank...can u pls help me out of this...?

Don't lift the container. Get one with a longer discharge hose and leave the fuel can on the ground.

  • @busnorth

Just how safe are these with the electric motor in the gas fumes? Looks safer to use a siphon hose. If you gotta lift the can above your tank.

@@Steve-pf5ct like i said, electric moter maybe with sparks from the brushes in the gas fumes. Not in the liquid gas itself. Like a gas tank. It would not pump from ground up to my tank.

Hi. Looking for a good website for buying land to live off-grid, know anyone trustworthy?

Hmmm... we actually live inside city limits so we aren’t in the country. I’d say you’d have good chances with Zillow or Landwatch. Don’t know anyone specifically. Good luck!👍

Hi Marie. How did things work out for you? I'd be interested to find a source like that myself if you have any suggestions.
      Kind regards,

@@johnbauman4005 Still looking. It all depends on how much land you want, but yes, Zillow is pretty helpful and Landwatch. Good luck, hope you find what you're looking for.
