I don't have this particular model, but will use the instructions given here to setup my machine to use and thank you all for preparing this instructional video for the owners.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I follow all of these steps but when I turn the knob to drop the needle and pick up the thread from the bobbin, it doesn’t look like it’s picking it up. If I try to sew, the top looks great but the bottom looks loopy. I’ve redone it about 10 times and it’s still not right. I’m new to seeing so I’m probably doing this wrong. 😕
Hello! If you are getting looping underneath, it sounds like it is not being pulled into the upper tension. Re-thread and pay attention as you pass through the tension disc. Also check your tension, make sure it's set in a normal setting and not too low. Thank you! -TB
Your bobbin thread too has to go through the little disc. Pay special attension to how its threaded. I find that this is just as important has the top threading. Good luck.
Aha! I was having the same issue, so I carefully re-threaded the machine as well as the bobbin, watched this over and over again so I knew I did it correctly. I made sure the tension was correct, everything looked correct. So what ended up being the problem: I was turning the knob clockwise. If I made a turn the opposite way than I'd been doing, it picked up the thread from the bobbin. -- I hope this helps someone out in the future.
Does this Singer machine or the Heavy Duty 5523 and 4423 machines (or all of the above) have the speed and power to perform the stitch on denim as shown in the video link from the 3:40 mark to 4:40 ruclips.net/video/DzZxTvg3nwo/видео.html ?
Yay! You can shop our Heavy Duty series here, and request to be added to a list to be notified once your preferred machine is in stock. I can't seem to get my sewing machine to sew. I have followed all the steps but it seems not to work.
