I’ve noticed my hair was getting thin in the front because of being in the bun every day. Has that happened to you? And also what’s your rate? I’m an LS btw ☺️☺️☺️
And you can have box braids and micro braids as well. And the bun size doesn’t matter as long as it can go in a bun so you can put your hat on. ( You can have braids in basic training and after basic training)
Do women have to follow mens hair regulations if they have really short hair with a fade. Shortest I have seen for women is pixie cut, but women be having tappers and all that too

Congrats on joining! As far as your hair , you have some options. In bootcamp your gonna have to wear it in a bun. They have sock buns to help you form your hair better, you can consider cutting it into a cute style, or maybe learning how to braid (there’s tons of videos on RUclips) but just doing two braids. One on the left and one on the right and then putting the rest into a bun .

You can always go back but it depends on your discharge. I was discharged from the Army with a chpt 11 ( which was a failure to adapt because I failed my final pt test ). The chpt 11 was for 6 months to 1 year. So after that time frame I could go back into the Army or go into another branch. I decided to go into the Navy. So I just recently joined, been in the DEP program for a few months and now I’m shipping out in a few weeks.

You can definitely still pursue beauty while enlisted I know so many lash techs, hair stylists, and MUAs that are in the military

I’m an OS , and no I didn’t notice any thinning from the bun my hair has always been naturally thin

It took me a year and half to strike, and I did not have to go to A school my rate was learnable on the ship

You can wear makeup and have lash extensions as long as they not super long I say size 13. And for makeup just keep your look natural
