    Hey Danny you’ve helped me on almost if not all my issues I’ve ran across owning my Yukon. So I followed your steps because I’m having some pressure issues so I figured might as well just change out the sensor. So the issue I’m at now is even after cleaning the T/B out and replacing the sensor and anything else I could think of I’m still getting weird pressures.
    Some days it runs perfect & other days it’s giving me all kinds of scares. I’m in Texas, it’s hot with that being said it seems to happen more when it’s warm and the Yukons been running a while. I’ll come to a stop light and my pressure will drop dramatically, at times I’ve had to put it in neutral and give it a little gas just to keep it up. It drops to around 20psj if not lower. It’s only does it when the vehicle is warmed up and while it idles at like the red lights and things like that. Any recommendations on what else to look at? Ian hoping it’s something small before changing the pump because I’ve read that the pump is a difficult task without a lift. Also i just find it weird that it only does it when the vehicle is at its running temperature on a hot day & idling. I’ve noticed also that at times the A/C seems to play a role, like once the compressor kicks on the oil pressure will drop as well but again only when hot and idling.

      My first thought would be the electric fuel pump as you say. I’d also keep an eye on the voltage in the rare case the alternator is weak and causing it to die out. The mechanical pump may be keeping it running. Does it have trouble starting? When warm?

    Great video. Short and to the point. (Partly by not showing the removal of the intake manifold.😂)

    Thank you for your video. How many engine oil pressure sensors does the 2015 GMC Yukon have? I followed your instructions in the video, but I'm still getting the 'Add engine oil' notification. Can you please assist me with this?

      If it’s the oil level and not the pressure, it could be the oil level sensor www.amazon.com/dp/B0D4K2TVBN/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_1Y61R0RT3G7D8MNT4A2G?linkCode=ml2&tag=2004047-20

    Did you have to remove the throttle body and valve covers to access it?

      Only the throttle body/intake manifold. The valve covers were for another job I was doing at the time ruclips.net/video/cWayyZGNYRI/видео.htmlsi=IRPGPwgbcMxVOZYc

    I have a 18’ burb. The oil pressure gauge use to fluctuate when idling vs accelerating. 25-35 idling to 40-60 while accelerating. Which I understand is normal operation. As of recently the oil pressure gauge just sits near 40psi. It drops to 35-40 when idling and 40-45 when accelerating (guesstimate). Has anyone run into this before? Mechanic says I need to replace the oil pump, but wants to charge $2k for parts and labor. Since I have a 4x4, seems kinda worth it since it’s a hassle to get the oil pan out without a lift. But now wondering if it’s just a sensor issue and something I can do myself. I have no CEL on the dash but when mechanic hooked up the scan tool, he read a P06DD code which said an oil pressure control solenoid valve is stuck-off. Any thoughts or advice is much appreciated.

      Oil pressure can be effected by the filter in the video, but if you are getting a code for it stuck open at the pump, that’s more likely to be the problem. My understanding is it has a variable pump for the cylinder deactivation and I have seen videos where people have gotten the code they it was stuck and that video was replacing the oil pump

    Is there anything special to know when replacing the vlom? Ive had #4 exhaust pushrod bend 3 times, so pretty certain theres an oil leak or solenoid malfunction in the vlom. The first time it ended up breaking the lifter apart. Other two times i changed the pushrod as soon as i heard a slight tick.

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  2 месяца назад

      I would make sure it’s torqued down properly when re-installed. It’s also a good time to change the high pressure fuel pump lifter. I understand most bent pushrods may be from the system being clogged and having trouble with a timing even changing from 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder mode. I deleted the system in the end to not worry about it ruclips.net/video/cWayyZGNYRI/видео.htmlsi=gwP_GXWLJOnBYhyb

      @dannyjohnsonsgarage forgot to mention I've been running a range device after the first bent pushrod, so from what i understand, there shouldn't have been any attempt by the vlom to send mainline pressure to the lifter. Did you mean the high pressure oil pump filter?

      Awesome thank you. I have a 2017 I just got and am learning all of the idiosyncrasies as it were. Fortunately I do not have this problem I just noticed that the oil pressure gauges fluctuates while driving. For instance at idle it drops steadily to about 20 psi and while driving she stays at 40 psi.

      @@tdawntreader5410 mine is also below 40 at idle, then 40 driving normal. When I first drive away when it’s cold it spikes little up and comes back to 40 twice, then stays at 40
