I’ve deleted all of my social media (except RUclips) to create more space for myself. I take more rest breaks (even if I don’t fall asleep.) I moved in with my son while I heal and he’s providing for me while I recover.
Good for you! I deleted people who were not serving a purpose in my life and just lurking. I'm going to take breaks from it and I agree with you on taking more time to rest throughout the day!
I definitely am doing more ease in 2023. I have long waist length locks and love the way they look. I want to learn how to retwist my locks myself. Firstly, buying a house. Not allowing people to stress me out in a job. I am working towards ease where I can retire early. Really budgeting and being more mindful of not just spending frivolously. I am working on speaking more positivity into my life and not allowing people''s negativity to upset me, by keeping them at arms length. Attracting the right people into my life. Great video Stephanie. Wishing you all the best to reaching your goals in 2023 💕🙏🏾
When i heard the term quiet quitting, I was like "oh that's what I'm doing?" I came home to work remote at the start of the pandemic and that helped my mental health but I've leaned into closing out the noise of management and co-workers. Lucky for me, my work is almost autonomous. I hit up that delete button when emails are trying to frustrate me, I'm in all the meetings but I mute the speakers to avoid the foolishness. I really think carefully about engaging with people who come with negative vibes. I have mastered the art of responding to nasty emails speaking truth but diffusing any potential conflict. This is working for me. Peace and Ease are worth it. ❤
Happy New Year. I retired at 54 this year, scouted Panama City, embracing my gray hair, learned to do easy twist-out on my hair. I'm seeing beautiful gray hair on women these days.
Stephanie, just want to give u much Flowers, Love and Appreciation!! Your dedication to the health and wellbeing of Black Women has been beyond beautiful!! And your openness, honesty and sharing of helpful information, advice and insights has been so valuable. I have followed u for a long time and u are an inspiration! Hope I meet u traveling one day!! Many Blessings to you and your Family!!
DONT GET A RELAXER GET A KERATIN TREATMENT. YOU GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS WITH THE TREATMENT. A black women from either Atlanta or Texas created a formula specifically for us and its amazing. 😍😍😍😍😍
Where can we find an buy this BW owned and made Keratin treatment please? I used to get the treatments a long time years ago and did like the effect. However I had stopped going to the salon to get the Keratin treatments due to concern about possibly toxic ingredients in some of the formulations.
Yes, please do tell where to find this keratin treatment. I went back to the creamy crack Jan 1 2022 and would prefer keratin but the last one being used on my hair was not doing the job.
@@izi.z2384 she doesn't sell it to the public, she sells directly to salons. the stylist has to be trained in applying the solution before she sells to the salon. The treatment is called "silk out hair care system."
You know I found it real difficult to be back in America after I lived in China. I came back for my dad, but after he passed in 2020 I was unable to go back overseas. Covid helped that but this community has helped me to realize that not living here isn’t a bad idea. Little things that bother me now, I was okay with before living in China because I just didn’t know a different life.
Im a Natural Haircare Speciallist/Stylist on a short sebatical. A friend recommended I tune into your channel and so far you are on point! If you were born bald you would still be beautiful. Own and embrace the beauty in you
I am definitely doing a lot more esse in 2023. This is the year I am focusing on me and my well being deleted a lot of social media accounts and I am TRIMMING THE FAT I am not allowing a lot of folks to have access to me and I am focusing on my goals. I agree with you 💯. Doing as less as possible and doing it easier. I even flexed down my work schedule I made the preparation in 2022 so I can focus more on my hobbies. Thank you for sharing and peace and Blissings to you
Good afternoon! I am totally a hotel girl. I am service oriented. I’m just not comfortable using Airbnb. I haven’t tried yet but I need to to make a total assessment. Peace and hair grease.
I am new to the channel but just love your content and energy! I am a biracial black woman determined to create more ease and joy in my life and it is so refreshing to see a happy black woman smiling, laughing and connecting to others in a positive, light hearted way. You simply glow😊
Hi Stephanie, natural, longer hair is easier for me to manage than short; I can put it into a ponytail. I am not great at braiding and I do not like a short afro on me.
I got sick and the meds made my hair shed. I was so busy trying to stay alive after 29 days in the hospital that I did not think much about hair so I have my brother to shave it all off as start over
I'm watching the replay. I've dyed my hair dark blue and it actually looks natural until I'm in the sun and it blends the grays until my hair grows out. My new 2023 "ease" is food prep...I am notorious for not having anything planned for lunch or dinner and will order out or have cereal (whichever is more convenient).
I founded a natural hair support group in Oklahoma back in 2008 called Let's talk about hair! My hair is 4C and due to frustrations I have not worn my hair out consistently for years and thought about going back to the creamy crack for good. Thank you for that conversation
Thinking about enjoying more ease in life may come with knowing that pushing yourself has gotten you more stress and loss of health and wellness than what we really hoped the results would be. Life is a great teacher. For me it has taught me that ease is healthy and natural.
Your hair and your energy are absolutely BeautyFull. I've switched between locs and bald for the past 17 years. I tried open natural briefly after undoing my first set of locs and quickly learned it didn't fit with the ease I'd become accustomed to - so I shaved it all off and loved it! I'm now on my 4th set of locs. Whatever style we choose, embracing our natural hair will improve our relationship with Self 🖤
Revisiting this video. I love hearing you go through your calendar for 2023 and seeing how you actually have executed a lot of these things as of June 2023. So inspiring. I have a lot of entrepreneurial goals, but I don't know how I will do them with a full time teaching job :(
Stephanie, thanks for sharing your wisdom and for letting us see and enjoy your light and positive vibrations. All the best for you and your loved ones! Happy 2023 🎉

I love the idea of once per quarter group coaching. That could work for me as a model. I don’t like individual coaching and it’s time consuming. I’m moving into consulting because you can charge more and get paid to advise based on a specific problem and design a resource.
Agree with you on the natural hair re: embracing it and the gray hair thing. I’ve had gray hair since my my early twenties and I’m not ready to yet to stop coloring it.
I'm still in the infantry stages of learning to unload dis-eases. Once I've masters this ,I will be a better version of myself. BTW, your hair is beautiful. Peace & Blessings .
I have been fighting with my hair trying naturally for over 12 years and just couldn't do it on my own, nor was I able to fit it into my budget every time I give it a thought. I normally comb it all gel up in a bun as trying to let it loose on my own with a style always end up looking horrible. In November 2022, I decided to try to do Wash and Go but at the end of the day I had to put an elastic band around it, not too tight as I was trying to get back my edges which I was losing due to the pulled back style heavy with gel. To my surprise after a month I realize my hair falls on its own to the sides not looking bad and I can now wear it loose, So guess what, I will be happily sporting Wash and Go hairstyle for 2023, I just need to color it burgundy now, I am so in love with that color and can't wait to see how it looks on me.
Girl, I am watching this replay and you are doing the thing...I really like the way you speak your truth about whatever you are speaking about. I truly agree with you about the natural hair movement. I wear my natural hair and Iove it!! Like you when I shower I just was and go and I wear that afro as well and love it. As you say "flex it" I get all kind of comments all the time, whether I wear the aftro or twist/out.

Stephanie, I think you have a very cute nose; I would trade my humongous nose for yours any day. For facial hair removal there are laser type gadgets sold at Walmart, one brand is ELLE, you can use it everyday before the hairs are visible to others. At one point I chose to stop colouring my grey hair so that the young people on the bus would not race against me when a seat becomes available. I once had to defend myself when a young man was not happy that I took the seat he was trying to get to; he claimed he had a bad back and I should give up the seat. I was 69 years old, with bad knees standing in a crowded bus. At some point I realized that most people don’t see me as a senior citizen. I am only three months away from my 71year😳
